The first sign that it was probably good was that there were a lot of vehicles -- both cars and carriages -- in the parking lot. And, there was a bit of a wait, which usually means to me that a restaurant is good. When we finally went in, we saw that it's a rather small restaurant. But what really blew our minds was how inexpensive it was. Two of us had breakfast for $16 INCLUDING the tip! The food was just good, simple and tasty. I ordered a cheese omelette, which came with toast and hash browns, and I also got sausage gravy. My sister just had eggs and toast. I ended up taking half of mine with me, because it was so good -- especially the toast! And the service was good as well. I wish there was a place like this close to home. But if/when I go back to Shipshewana, I will be sure to come back!

The onion rings were a bit soggy, but still tasted nice. The tater tots were a highlight. Very crispy and tasty! The entire building was well-kept. Tables were clean. It seemed a lot of locals dine here, which gave it a cool community atmosphere. And at the end of the day, you can't beat these prices! Will probably be back again on one of our Shipshewana trips!

She asked to have them remade. Which the server kindly did, her reorder came with a little melted cheese (you know when it's over heated and not cheese anymore) with sour cream squirted lines. And if you're going to charge extra, at least split it for the customer (as many places do without even asking!) instead of just throwing an extra plate under the main dish. Everything else was fine.
