Small town Indiana cafe with wholesome Amish meals and pies and good service. Old fashioned charm.

We have eaten at Tiffany's many times, and I've ordered the grilled chicken sandwich before and always enjoyed it. The restaurant was extremely busy tonight--even on a Tuesday, every table seemed to be full--so they are obviously doing a lot right. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, which has always come with sides in the past, but this time no sides were brought out. When our waitress came by, I asked about them, but they were never delivered. The grilled chicken itself tasted good, but the sandwich was very dry because it came without lettuce or mayonnaise. By the time we realized the requested items weren't coming, we were well into the meal. I know restaurants can get overwhelmed when they are this busy, and we've had good experiences here before, so I hope this was just an off night. I would definitely come back, but tonight's meal and service weren't up to what we normally expect from Tiffany's. read more

Disappointed with selection and quality of the buffet. Have been to some of the other area buffets and they were much better. The chicken was very good, but some of the other items offered were substandard. Mashed potatoes were barely warm. The mixed vegetables were very watery. Expected more variety of sides and salad items. And also the dessert offerings were sparse and of low quality. And no rolls, just a couple of store bought loaves of bread. read more

I have been here several times. Today when I went into the restaurant the waitress I got had a speech impediment which was no problem. She was kind but that is all I can say about her. She needs to pay attention more and learn how to serve her customer's. She did not give me the coffee I ordered until my food was done not because she was busy just because she didn't remember I ordered it even though she was looking at her ticket book several times. I would have asked to speak to the owners/management but my experience in the past has told me they really don't care. I would go elsewhere to eat and pass this place. read more

Love the food. Love the service. It's about an hour and a half drive for me and I still make a point to get there when I can. Highly recommend the prime rib on Friday and the Breakfast buffet. read more

Food always good! At times they regulate seating according to their help situation! It is hard to see empty tables and then they say a 45 minute wait! I am on a cane! This is only at the Portage location! Then was seated in 15 minutes!! read more

Had the broasted chicken on the buffet and it was delicious. Potatoes and gravy were good, salad was fresh and many dressings to select from. Good service and we look forward to going back. read more

Great food a the Manhattan was AMAZING!!! Not only B-E-A-U-Tiful, but taste was fantastic. Staff was friendly and more food than we needed. Local as local can be and rated as good as Granny's. read more

My food was very good, the atmosphere pleasant and it is anything but a chain. Therefore, Tiffany's gets a 5 star from me. I had the dinner buffet and loved the variety of salad toppings. Test salad bar options I have had in a very long time. Whenever I have green olives available for my salad I am a happy camper. The chicken was tender and had a flavorful crunchy coating. I am always a fan of noodles and mashed potatoes too. I admit I did not have the dessert items, but I am not big on puddings etc. My dad had chili that he said was very good. I will admit his sandwich took forever, but it got busy all at once. I viewed it as time to let my huge salad digest before having my main course. This is a gem all the way around. From the flavor of the beautiful farming community to the tasty and filling food. read more

This used to be a very good place to eat but, this past Saturdays visit left a bad taste in our mouth quite literally. To start with when we walked in the place was filthy there was food and papers all over the floor as well as numerous dirty tables. I had the fritz burger and my wife had a tenderloin sandwich, my sandwich was passable and my wife's tenderloin was terrible. This will crossed off our list of places to eat. read more

Four stars for price, service, quality, and uniqueness (at least for me since I'm from NC). Our waitress was helpful and courteous and our entire bill, with tip & tax was under $30. Plus, a doggy bag. I was a sucker for the beef Manhattan and it is all comfort food, even though eating it all makes me uncomfortable. Couldn't do it. My parents both ordered the ham loaf which I've not had since a lad. They were kind to share a bite. Fantastic although a little too sweet for me. Overall, a nice place. Someone Yelped about some flies?! You're in the country, dude, with horses outside and it's summer. "Nuff said. read more

This sweet little Amish find is great. The service is wonderful, the staff here are so friendly. The number one item to get here, and what I drive 3 hrs one way to get, is their fresh blueberry pie- seasonal, typically during only the month of July. June is fresh strawberry pie, and August is fresh peach pie, but the blueberry one is to die for. You will think you've gone to heaven. Their baked blueberry pie is very good also, but you have to try the fresh blueberry. You will find yourself planning your entire summer around it!! read more

Tiffany's Family Restaurant - AUCE fish dinner and crispy tots! - American Near Me - Topeka, Indiana

I lived in small town Topeka my entire life and sadly I don't need to go to cities to pay big city high prices , Tiffany's has become very expensive! 7.47 for a hot dog , more than $10 for hamburger with no fries included, 3.73 for a small dish of applesauce or cottage cheese. The food is average to good, service is most times good to excellent. But the high prices make this restaurant now a rip off,. read more

Usually a good place to go for a good salad bar or "home cooked" meals, but this Sat @ 6:15: Bad place to go! Special was Chicken Buffet $18 problem is they had no (none, nada ) Chicken! They gave it ALL (200 pieces) to a special order. Pretty poor planning! However, there was no substitute or no price adjustment posted for the buffet. Raves to the waitress...working all alone on a busy Sat @ dinnertime. She also bused tables and cashiered!! She was tipped well. If you're thinking of going, calling ahead is recommended! read more

The Northern Indiana area has no shortage of Amish food options and though Tiffany's may not be the best Amish food you've ever had, it's still good food and a nice option in the small town of Topeka. The restaurant serves a small buffet that includes a salad bar, chicken, corn, mashed potatoes, noodles (the thicker version), desserts, and more. While the options are a bit limited, you'll get your fill of typical Amish food. Again, the food is good. Not great, but not terrible. For the price, it was a great stop. The service was great and it was a tough choice about what was the better dessert: the Oreo-ish pudding from the buffet or the slice of bread with the peanut butter/marshmallow spread. Do yourself a favor and save room for both! read more

Great place to come when we visit northern Indiana. Usually get the buffet. Never walk away hungry. Great fried chicken, mashed potatoes and the desserts are great! read more

Tiffany's Family Restaurant - Best peanut butter dessert! - American Near Me - Topeka, Indiana

This was a recommendation from a woman at a shop in Shipshewana. The restaurant is frequented by the local Amish, and it's home-cooked food, for sure! The menu isn't large and is missing some common area items (like ANY noodle dishes!), but you can definitely find something to eat. My husband and I shared the 4-piece broasted chicken dinner and ordered an extra side salad, and it was plenty of food for the two of us. When we ordered, we were told it was a 20-minute wait for the chicken, since they didn't have any prepared. Totally worth the wait! I'm not exactly sure what "broasting" is, but I sure want to find out! It was SO delicious! And their waffle fries were seasoned and incredible! Honestly, I saw them on someone else's plate and decided we had to try them. Glad we did! We had such a satisfying meal here, and the prices are absolutely reasonable. Definitely a worthwhile stop if you're near Shipshewana! read more

Terrible service with more than 6 flies constantly swarming our food. I told the waitress I will not be eating my food as the flies are terrible and landing on my food and the party's food I was with. She gave us the bill and I asked to speak with a management at the register and she told me no one was there. She was sorry but only saw one fly at our table and didn't know of a problem. That maybe we brought them in with us. (How rude) Then explained that was a joke. Very distasteful joke. She explained there was nothing she could do no one else complained about the flies. My husband, roger also expressed the bathroom had quite a few. I just think it was terrible. What a waist of $30. Never again. read more

The waitresses are very friendly. The food was very good and great flavoring. And got your money worth.

I have given Tiffany's several opportunities. This is my last visit. This time, I thought I would try breakfast. First, it is waaaay overpriced. It cost over seven dollars for two eggs and a side of bacon. The side of bacon was $4.00 and I got three pieces. I asked for the eggs over medium, the were very running with white liquid. As for my experiences with lunch and dinner, the food is well below average and is not "home cooked" as they want you to believe. You will see evidence of this with all the Gordon's Food Service boxes laying around. I assume they are only still around because of the tourists who come for the auctions. Many of the locals don't go here. read more

Great Salad bar, hot food as well as cold. Many salads to choose from and also dressings. Several deserts and four different meats. A real bargain for great comfort food. Everything I tasted was good and wasn't Institutional food. Will definitely go back. Topeka is off the beaten path but worth the drive. read more

One of the few restaurants in town. Not as good as it use to be but still good. I love the beef manhattan.

Can't believe I never reviewed this place. Was my first time in a Amish restaurant food was better then I thought it was going to be. First time I ever tried Peanut butter pie, that was great. Place is prob more of a 3 star but I'll give it a extra star for eating and kicking it with Amish people. read more

This resteraunt is known all over indiana for their food and buffet. This is a great place for a good home cooked meal. Not to mention that it's Amish made food! Make sure you go on Saturday morning for their breakfast buffet if you're planning on trying Tiffany's! read more

Stopped here last Tuesday 6/27 to meet my mother for dinner. This will be the first and last time we attempt to eat there. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated quickly. She ordered the broasted chicken w/mashed potatoes and gravy. I ordered the 2 piece cod w/fries. The cod was some kind of fish patty, that you would expect to see in a cafeteria. McDonalds has a better fish sandwich than these people. Her chicken was cold. We didn't get a chance to mention this to a waitress, because after our food was dropped off, she didn't return until she returned with the bill. I believe the flies probably ate more than we did. Absolutely disgusting. I understand this is 'Amish Country', but if the flies are that bad in the dining room, I'd hate to see the kitchen. read more

We visited on 7/12/16 and all i can say is the flies where terrible. Bottom line is we tried to address it with the waitress and she wouldn't do anything with the cost of my food at least because I absolutely get grossed out when flies land on my food. I understand 1 hanging around but this was at least 5-6 the gal we where was with knocked her water over trying to constantly shoo them away. The waitress said she only saw 1 at our table and said sorry there was nothing she cold do about it the manager wasn't there. Also was told maybe they came in with us. she did say that was a joke and and I said that was a very bad joke. The men stated the restroom was also full of them. What terrible service.... read more

This was awesome home cooked food for a great price. The buffet is what we had and it had plenty on it for the price. The pies are amazing and slices are cheap! If you aren't a buffet type person there is plenty on the menu to choose from. Large dining area and clean bathrooms. We stopped in after a day of yard saling and it was great! Will be back in the next time we are in the area! read more

Home Cooked food. Tasty chicken, dressing, broccoli salad, and mashed potaoes. Yummy.

I used to enjoy the food at Tiffany's, but last evening was the turning point. I won't go back. Every dish tasted the same...bland! If you're looking to eat here, choose somewhere else. read more

Terrible service, terrible food. Very little of the food is fresh. Salad bar is mediocre at best. Skip this one.
