Small town Indiana cafe with wholesome Amish meals and pies and good service. Old fashioned charm.

Disappointed with selection and quality of the buffet. Have been to some of the other area buffets and they were much better. The chicken was very good, but some of the other items offered were substandard. Mashed potatoes were barely warm. The mixed vegetables were very watery. Expected more variety of sides and salad items. And also the dessert offerings were sparse and of low quality. And no rolls, just a couple of store bought loaves of bread. read more

I have been here several times. Today when I went into the restaurant the waitress I got had a speech impediment which was no problem. She was kind but that is all I can say about her. She needs to pay attention more and learn how to serve her customer's. She did not give me the coffee I ordered until my food was done not because she was busy just because she didn't remember I ordered it even though she was looking at her ticket book several times. I would have asked to speak to the owners/management but my experience in the past has told me they really don't care. I would go elsewhere to eat and pass this place. read more

This used to be a very good place to eat but, this past Saturdays visit left a bad taste in our mouth quite literally. To start with when we walked in the place was filthy there was food and papers all over the floor as well as numerous dirty tables. I had the fritz burger and my wife had a tenderloin sandwich, my sandwich was passable and my wife's tenderloin was terrible. This will crossed off our list of places to eat. read more

My food was very good, the atmosphere pleasant and it is anything but a chain. Therefore, Tiffany's gets a 5 star from me. I had the dinner buffet and loved the variety of salad toppings. Test salad bar options I have had in a very long time. Whenever I have green olives available for my salad I am a happy camper. The chicken was tender and had a flavorful crunchy coating. I am always a fan of noodles and mashed potatoes too. I admit I did not have the dessert items, but I am not big on puddings etc. My dad had chili that he said was very good. I will admit his sandwich took forever, but it got busy all at once. I viewed it as time to let my huge salad digest before having my main course. This is a gem all the way around. Four stars for price, service, quality, and uniqueness (at least for me since I'm from NC). Our waitress was helpful and courteous and our entire bill, with tip & tax was under $30. Plus, a doggy bag. I was a sucker for the beef Manhattan and it is all comfort food, even though eating it all makes me uncomfortable. Couldn't do it. My parents both ordered the ham loaf which I've not had since a lad. They were kind to share a bite. Fantastic although a little too sweet for me. Overall, a nice place. This sweet little Amish find is great. The service is wonderful, the staff here are so friendly. The number one item to get here, and what I drive 3 hrs one way to get, is their fresh blueberry pie- seasonal, typically during only the month of July. June is fresh strawberry pie, and August is fresh peach pie, but the blueberry one is to die for. You will think you've gone to heaven. Their baked blueberry pie is very good also, but you have to try the fresh blueberry. You will find yourself planning your entire summer around it!! read more

I lived in small town Topeka my entire life and sadly I don't need to go to cities to pay big city high prices , Tiffany's has become very expensive! 7.47 for a hot dog , more than $10 for hamburger with no fries included, 3.73 for a small dish of applesauce or cottage cheese. They gave it ALL (200 pieces) to a special order. Pretty poor planning! However, there was no substitute or no price adjustment posted for the buffet. The Northern Indiana area has no shortage of Amish food options and though Tiffany's may not be the best Amish food you've ever had, it's still good food and a nice option in the small town of Topeka. The restaurant serves a small buffet that includes a salad bar, chicken, corn, mashed potatoes, noodles (the thicker version), desserts, and more. While the options are a bit limited, you'll get your fill of typical Amish food. Again, the food is good. Not great, but not terrible. For the price, it was a great stop. The service was great and it was a tough choice about what was the better dessert: the Oreo-ish pudding from the buffet or the slice of bread with the peanut butter/marshmallow spread. This was a recommendation from a woman at a shop in Shipshewana. The restaurant is frequented by the local Amish, and it's home-cooked food, for sure! The menu isn't large and is missing some common area items (like ANY noodle dishes!), but you can definitely find something to eat. My husband and I shared the 4-piece broasted chicken dinner and ordered an extra side salad, and it was plenty of food for the two of us. When we ordered, we were told it was a 20-minute wait for the chicken, since they didn't have any prepared. Totally worth the wait! I'm not exactly sure what "broasting" is, but I sure want to find out! It was SO delicious! And their waffle fries were seasoned and incredible! Honestly, I saw them on someone else's plate and decided we had to try them. Glad we did! We had such a satisfying meal here, and the prices are absolutely reasonable. Terrible service with more than 6 flies constantly swarming our food. I told the waitress I will not be eating my food as the flies are terrible and landing on my food and the party's food I was with. She gave us the bill and I asked to speak with a management at the register and she told me no one was there. She was sorry but only saw one fly at our table and didn't know of a problem. That maybe we brought them in with us. (How rude) Then explained that was a joke. Very distasteful joke. She explained there was nothing she could do no one else complained about the flies. I have given Tiffany's several opportunities. This is my last visit. This time, I thought I would try breakfast. First, it is waaaay overpriced. It cost over seven dollars for two eggs and a side of bacon. The side of bacon was $4.00 and I got three pieces. I asked for the eggs over medium, the were very running with white liquid. As for my experiences with lunch and dinner, the food is well below average and is not "home cooked" as they want you to believe. You will see evidence of this with all the Gordon's Food Service boxes laying around. I assume they are only still around because of the tourists who come for the auctions. Great Salad bar, hot food as well as cold. Many salads to choose from and also dressings. Several deserts and four different meats. A real bargain for great comfort food. Everything I tasted was good and wasn't Institutional food. Will definitely go back. Topeka is off the beaten path but worth the drive. read more

Stopped here last Tuesday 6/27 to meet my mother for dinner. This will be the first and last time we attempt to eat there. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated quickly. She ordered the broasted chicken w/mashed potatoes and gravy. I ordered the 2 piece cod w/fries. The cod was some kind of fish patty, that you would expect to see in a cafeteria. McDonalds has a better fish sandwich than these people. Her chicken was cold. We didn't get a chance to mention this to a waitress, because after our food was dropped off, she didn't return until she returned with the bill. I believe the flies probably ate more than we did. Absolutely disgusting. I understand this is 'Amish Country', but if the flies are that bad in the dining room, I'd hate to see the kitchen. read more

We visited on 7/12/16 and all i can say is the flies where terrible. Bottom line is we tried to address it with the waitress and she wouldn't do anything with the cost of my food at least because I absolutely get grossed out when flies land on my food. I understand 1 hanging around but this was at least 5-6 the gal we where was with knocked her water over trying to constantly shoo them away. The waitress said she only saw 1 at our table and said sorry there was nothing she cold do about it the manager wasn't there. This was awesome home cooked food for a great price. The buffet is what we had and it had plenty on it for the price. The pies are amazing and slices are cheap! If you aren't a buffet type person there is plenty on the menu to choose from. Large dining area and clean bathrooms. We stopped in after a day of yard saling and it was great!
