Yes this place was in between disgusting and horrible. I ordered my hamburger medium rare. It came out well done. Completely inedible to me. I asked them to remake it. The waitress did not even say she was sorry or anything and then you'll see a picture of how it came back to me. It was literally Raw. I called her over and told her I didn't want any more food. Again she didn't even apologize. My boyfriend ordered the fish which was fried the pieces were very very thin and it was very very soggy. The menu had a typo and instead of taking the short way out and just saying so, our group was treated to a story about the pride they take that particular food item and concluding with "and today it happens to be on sale." all in good fun. This place is great! I travel to Sturgis frequently & this is always my first stop. The food is fantastic. You must try the cheesy magic bread sticks. The burgers are BOMB. Handmade burgers no frozen junk ! cooked mine perfectly- medium rare. The staff is on point too - entertaining as heck-with and old school atmosphere that reminds me of being a kid - you know when it still acceptable to go to the bar with your grandmother. Lol ! Well wanted something a bit different tonight for dinner and hit up The In-Between for the forst time. I got the prime rib, wife got chicken parm. What a hidden gem of a restaurant. My husband and I were looking for a local place to eat and this was recommended to us by one of the area residents. We were not disappointed. I ordered the Queen Prime Rib which was cooked to perfection. My husband took a bite of it and that is all he could talk about for 2 days--the BEST. We even had a to-go box that made supper!!! Food was surprising my and done well. Asparagus was over done and out of season. Sweet potatoes were perfect, as was the Salmon. However, white potatoes was undercooked and under thought of as a mistake. No replacement offered. The location is near a high end lake with travelers makes good there way down 12. Why such a super laid back, speed up when it is felt like atmosphere. Plenty of opportunity with this restaurant, make it happen. Sanitation slip, bus boy dumped his drink properly, then proceeded to dip the same cup into the ice bin. Oh man. Overall we left satisfied. read more

Really average bar food, in a wide open setting. On this day the windows were open so we had that nice cigarette smoke smell coming in from just outside. Basic stuff this place could upgrade and actually make it a decent place. Things like home made salad dressings (really simple for any cook...try google for a recipe), use real butter, not that yellow axle grease in a cup they serve (ehhhh). There were 4 of us that went for dinner on a Saturday evening around 6:30 pm. I ordered the perch dinner. I got 4 strips of fish about 1 inch by 4 inches. Not a whole piece. The salad with the meal consisted of shredded iceberg lettuce. It was covered with a mound of dressing (Yuk) which was not served on the side. Better to disguise there was nothing else in the salad. My baked potato was shriveled & gray looking inside. I asked for another, the same thing. Cost: $14.99 without a drink. After we left I called when I was alone as I didn't want to make a scene with our friends being there. The manager could have cared less. He admitted the potatoes had been on the warmer for 5 hours. He told me how expensive tomatoes & other salad ingredients were. The price was extortion for what I was served and the quality of the food was very poor. My husband's steak was OK but he had a side of cottage cheese & a gray potato too. Cost: $14.99 without a drink. How is this place in business?? My advice, keep on moving down the road. read more
