My friend and I traveled to Sturgis MI to run some business errands and came across this awesome place located right off the main drag. We walked in and greeted and sat immediately. This is a quiet little place that has AMAZING food! For starters they give Chips and Beans rather than salsa - this was so good! They also brought a bottle of salsa verde that was to die for, I really wanted to ask for a bottle to take home! I opted for the Chicken Fajitas and they were really good. I believe they use peanut oil to cook the chicken and veggies in which is my favorite. It also came with rice, beans, tomatoes, lettuce, and sour cream with corn tortillas. My friend got pork and chicken tamale and he said they were really good! I would highly recommend trying this place out! read more

I'm here in Michigan visiting family from Los Angeles, being half Mexican and from LA, where Mexican food is king. I went in expecting a little. I was blown away, I got chicken tacos, that were amazing, the beans and rice tasted homemade, the service was very friendly. This place could survive in Southern California. read more

Solid dining experience but not spectacular. Food was good although one member only wanted ala carte enchiladas and was told he couldn't get them that way. read more

Great value and food. Generous portions. Wish they were friendlier. Might be because understaffed and tired. read more

Good food and ambience. They were very busy and didn't seem to have enough help but they all seemed to pitch in for service. Pulled pork tacos were very good. read more

I've eaten in once & taken out twice. The waitress who is always there it seems, isn't super pleasant. A smile goes a long way! Instead you kind of feel like you're wasting her time. I order shrimp tacos & quesadillas here... so good! I add cheese, lettuce, and sour cream for an additional cost. Otherwise they come with cilantro & onions, I believe. Red & green sauce on the side. If I have a hankering for authentic shrimp tacos or quesadillas, I come here! When we dined in, though, my husband ordered these rolled tortillas with meat (can't remember the name) but received tortas instead...which are completely different. He wasn't a fan. Overall, a 4 for the taste of the tacos & quesadillas... but if I were to focus more on atmosphere, presentation or personality... it'd be a 2 or 3 star rating. read more

Really good food. Nice people too. Nice and clean also. No frills and good prices as well

I've seen the name of this place for a long time, but never saw the actual restaurant until now. It's hidden away behind some other businesses. Place is clean and tidy. Smallish, but not crowded. We went for lunch and ordered off the lunch menu. Right away, the young server brought tortilla chips and a serving of delicious refried beans. With that came two sauces in bottles. The green sauce was mild and herbaceous. Great for those who don't want spice. The orange sauce was spicy and hot. Yum. My tacos were good. I told the server to surprise me with the protein. He brought chicken. This dish came with refried beans and rice. Not just plain white rice or yellow rice. This rice had chunks of carrots and peas. The seasoning was perfect. My friend had enchiladas in green sauce. She said they were good, but the chicken was a bit dry. We'd both order the same thing again. You pay at the counter. They have ApplePay. We will be back! read more

Carne asada tacos were flavorful and delicious. Generous portion of meat for the money. Make sure you get the hot sauce too. Staff were very friendly and service was fast. read more

I order 8 tacos and had no meat nothing in them for almost 50 dollars will never come here again

Food was very good. The portions were bigger than any other Mexican place I've ever been. Highly recommended.

We have several Mexican inspired restaurants in town and they are all pretty good, but I prefer El Taco because of the freshness and flavor of their dishes. Their wait staff is young but friendly and courteous. The quality of the food here is consistent. It's well-run and dependable. read more

This restaurant has a nice clean atmosphere. Food was good! Chips, salsa and bean dip are served with your meal.

Great place for authentic Mexican food. Love the guacamole and their green salsa. My kids insist on the great queso too.

Went again....amazing food but the service was downright deplorable. Our server's tone was completely rude as she scolded us for taking our own menus. She didn't crack a smile and my husband had to stand and wait 5 minutes after we ate just to pay the bill. Really a bummer... read more

Picked their phone up and hung it up on me numerous times. I heard people talking in the background before they hung it up... bad business let's promote la Palma or any other authentic Mexican restaurant over them! If I could have zero stars I would read more

We recently did a taste test of local steak tortas and El Taco Loco was by far the best!!

Great food and service. You would never know the place existed - really glad we found it!

Looking for GOOD carne asada? Look no further! I was so impressed with the meat here! Flavorful and far from dry--an awesome carne asada burrito. I've had tacos in a lot of places, including some really amazing places in Southern California, and I'd say this carne asada is on par with the best I've had! YUM. The tastiness of the food makes the ambiance well worth it, even though it was so cold when we ate there in winter that I had to keep my jacket on the whole meal. I'd still rather eat here than Fiesta Mexicana, even though their dining area is much nicer. read more

This is my go to place to eat. The food is fresh and so well done. Not fancy just great food

One of the best shrimp fajitas and refried beans I've had. Wish this place wasn't 200+ miles away from home! Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned- not dripping with greasy or super salty. Dang, that hit the spot. read more
