We were treated to Mexican delights on a Saturday night with my mom and her significant other, and it was as good as I remembered. The menu is limited (it always was) but the space is a bit brighter and cheerier. No more dingy booths, now it's all tables. There is waitress service and you get chips and warm, VERY spicy salsa roja and a delightful salsa verde. We were also issued a bowl of some freakin' fantastic guacamole, which was complimentary but I'm not sure why. :) We ordered tacos (I got al pastor and steak), flautas, and the man-friend got a burrito that was enormous. You can get rice & beans as a side if you like, though it's not on the wall menu. If there's something you want, just ask -- they probably have it or can make it. The meat is super-tender, everything is fresh and tasty -- my only small disappointment was the refried beans, which didn't strike me as all that great. But no matter -- we devoured everything else. Since it was my mom's treat, we didn't pay, but I know the prices are low and the food is some of the best Mexican in town. Which actually is saying something, believe it or not. P.S. Pro tip: If you don't feel like parallel parking on Main St., there is a lot behind San Marcos and you can go in the back door right to the restaurant area.

The food is great, I love getting their chicken dishes and guacamole. It's fresh and the portions are decently sized. I was served chips and salsa right from the get go. Then a drink. My order came out very quickly! I wanna say around 5 minutes maybe. I ordered the Azteca Burrito. Man was it delicious! And the amount of food! Definitely one of the best Burritos I've ever had! I paid $13.24 for a bottle of beer, a GIANT Burrito with cheese sauce on top, rice, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Well worth the price. There were a couple reasons I didn't give 5 starts. There were no napkin dispensers on the tables. No condiments either. At the end of my meal I put my silverware and napkin on my plate to signal I was done. The waiter came out, grabbed my plates and asked if I was all done. A bill was never brought out, so I left a tip and went to the cash register to pay. I was rang up and still never saw a bill. Strange way to do business.
