We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was difficult to find a place to seat all 5 of us but we did find a spot albeit cozy. The service was ok as our order was taken at the old Penguin point service window and then we sat for our food. It took a while for our food to come out but it was definitely worth the wait. The rice and beans and well as the quesadilla I had were quite flavorful and the meat was tender and juicy. My kids appreciated getting Jarritos for a drink and my wife liked the Horchata. We will definitely go back and see them again especially since they will have settled in.

I have to say these are some of the best al pastor I've had in a long time. The pork was nice and juicy. Good use of pineapple as well. The restaurant is laid out like most with carved benches and murals. It was loud because no ceiling tiles but were still able to understand and hear conversations. The chips hold up, as they are the perfect thickness for a corn chip. I consistently order 2 tacos, one pollo (chicken) and the meat is tender and flavored. The chicken is solid (unlike the shredded style). The pork is a nice change, for the other "white meat". The steak tacos are not ground meat. It's chopped-by-handsteak. The guacamole is fantastic and not goo from a powder & water combo like some taquerias offer. The guac is freshly made and scrumptious. I never leave leftovers as the quac is great the day after. The woman who greets, and is the main waitress is warm and friendly. The other staff members are quick to grab something to make your visit a great experience. In other authentic Mexican taquerias, Coke is the beverage typically consimedl. I have found the water is a refreshing change and helps the taste buds really pick up on all the food's notes. There are so many beverages to choose from if you want aguas frescas, other pop choices, and alcohol choices It's a weekly visit for me if not more often. I can't recommend this quaint taqueria more.
