First off we had a great experience purchasing our appliances from Howard's thanks to George Moawad. He made the process quick, easy, and got us the best deal possible. Now on to the delivery. Howard's outsources their delivery to a 3rd party (DSI Logistics) who are sketchy. I am a first time home owner and I guess naive. When the deliverer arrived he walked up and asked me to sign for "arrival of delivery. Fine. During the delivery of the refrigerator, the top end hit our ceiling and damaged it. I only found this out when I was inspecting the fridge and noticed dry wall/paint chips on top of the fridge. I was not notified of this accident. When I brought this up to the deliverer he said that the damage are part of the risk of delivery, it happens, and there's nothing they can do about it. No accountability. Because I signed the "arrival of delivery" which really was the proof of delivery, they had no obligation to compensate us for the damages. Buyers beware of the crook delivery company they use. Edit: updating review for Howard's appliance as they reached out to the delivery company to get this corrected within a week. George again reached out to us to make sure that we will be taken care of. The only hassle throughout this process was DSI Logistics. read more

I was in desperate need of a replacing our refrigerator that had died on us during this very difficult time of self quarantine due to the Corona Virus. It was now more important than ever to stay at home and eat at home. My existing refrigerator was a freezer less refrigerator made by Frigidaire that sat next to a full size freezer in a built in area in my kitchen, which are not the easiest to find in todays market place. HOWARD'S APPLIANCES, 74 years of service and quality appliances, they know what they are doing when it comes to sales and service on Speed Queen washer and dryers. We went to Howards of Irvine 12/8/2021 and met with, David Yousefi. He answered all of our questions and we purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer. They were delivered to be installed on Friday, 12/10/2021. Unfortunately the dryer had some damage. It was not Howard's fault, the shipping carton looked fine. I immediately called Howard's Irvine and spoke to Lee and Lee had another dryer delivered and installed by 4:00 PM, Saturday, 12/11/2021, the very next day !! Further more after I spoke to Lee, I received not one but two phone calls from Howards customer care to make sure that I was taken care of. As far as I am concerned, in the future when shopping for any appliances, there will be no more guessing games at discount warehouses or websites, they are a waste of time and cause a lot of unnecessary stress. After a miserable experience trying to buy a refrigerator from Lowe's Tustin which ended in never receiving our refrigerator and wasting an entire week, we visited Howard's. From the time of our initial phone call to the store, it was clear that there is something very different about Howard's when compared to Lowe's. Howard's has a much bigger selection than Lowes and we found the same refrigerator there as we were looking at at Lowe's, but it was cheaper at Howard's. Sadly I must update my review Dawn seemed like a great salesperson but after the sale support was 100% different than when the sale was being made First of all, she misquoted me the rebates applicable to my purchase - Then when one of the appliances we purchased, the range, was installed by their installers on top of protective paper covering than had been placed buy the contractor over new wood floors to protect them, we did not realize this until we moved into the home and were getting everything set up. I called Howards customer service to ask them to send out their installers to correct the error they had made and they insisted they would have to charge me for that. RIDICULOUS - it was their error not mine. Then she said the store manager - John - was busy and could not speak with me. So I called Dawn to ask for her assistance and she could not even return my phone call! So my wife and I improvised and figured out how to reach under the stove (and I cut my finger doing so) and removed the paper So just another salesperson interested in making the sale and nothing else - I am in the customer service business and this is not good customer service - I would recommend spending your money somewhere else to buy appliances. read more

I went to Howard's to purchase a new washer and dryer to replace my 21-year old Kenmore Elite HE3T units. I did a lot of research before walking into the store and knew I was going to look at both Maytag and GE brands. I was greeted by George Moawad when I walked into the store. I promptly told him what I was looking to do and he agreed with my choices. Not only did he tell me the differences between the two brands, but he made sure I looked at all the bells and whistles for each machine. He didn't try to steer me in another direction; George made me feel at ease with my choice and expedited the purchase process, explaining every line item in detail. I purchased my new washer and dryer on a Thursday and accepted delivery that Saturday. The delivery men were courteous and very professional and arrived right on time. Because of the supply-chain issues, I did not receive the pedestals I purchased with the machines, however, George let me know at the time of purchase that I would get separate delivery of the pedestals because the warehouse didn't have any in stock. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with the customer service I received in-store and at delivery. George even sent me the site links so I could get the rebates being offered! This was the worst experience I've ever had buying anything ever anywhere! I kept telling them there was a strong smell. I had installation crews come back 4 times over 1 month until they finally pulled the dryer out and said there was a gas leak and it was installed incorrectly. They said my house could have blown up. I had to take off 7 different days of work to be there for them. They sent someone from LG that did nothing, said he's not allowed to touch the units. Terrible service and communication awful! We came into Howard's on a whim over the weekend. We've been contemplating on a second fridge before we even got a new fridge 6 months ago, and we finally got the chance to clear out some space to get a second fridge. We came in looking for Brian, who helped us out 6 months ago, but found out that he transferred to the Laguna Hills store!! :( George ended up helping us out instead. This time, the process was much easier and quicker because it's a second fridge and not the main fridge. We found one that was a decent price. Then we looked at washers since the door of the washer that we had was coming off, and ended up getting one, too, since it was at a decent price, and we were already getting a fridge delivered and installed. The whole process took about half an hour from start to finish. AND they were able to have it delivered the very next day! So later that night, we got a call for the delivery window, 9am-noon. The next day, we got a call a little before 10am that they were about 10 minutes away... Felt more like 5, since they showed up soon after! At least this time around, I didn't need a longer heads-up call since everything was cleared out and ready for install. But it'd been nice to get a little longer heads-up call in other situations! Delivery people came and took the old washer apart and then installed the new one and did a test run while they put the fridge in place. All of this took about half an hour total. I've been reading reviews about how they don't clean after themselves, and that has been true the past 2 times. Water leaked from the water line from the old fridge from 6 months ago while they were taking it apart, and water leaked from the water line from the old washer this time around, and they didn't do anything about it. Luckily this time, it was in the garage, so we didn't need to clean it up, unlike the fridge from 6 months ago. Good thing it wasn't anything too crazy to clean up, though. All in all, both times, I've had really good experiences from Howard's. The fridge from 6 months ago is still running and in tip-top shape, nothing bad to report on. So from my past experiences with Howard's the past 6 months, I'd definitely recommend them if you're in the market for appliances!! Yes, the salesperson does make or break your experience, so just keep that in mind! George at this location was very helpful! Wished Brian was still at this location, though!
