Nope would not do it again. Lunch menu limited to sandwiches and salads. Lunch special was lasagna. Owner was server, asked if homemade, she went on a spiel about no and it was expensive and should probably make homemade. Well I ordered and probably would have been better if not cut from tin, put on plate, microwaved right in front of me and handed to me at counter. Everyone is nice. Constable was wearing USMC sweats, sitting at counter going through menu tickets (maybe she's part owner). Maybe I should have ordered breakfast, although 130 in afternoon. Saw bacon precooked, grits hanging out in pot, nothing covering condiments. This in town restaurant could be so much more, with a little effort. read more

First off, the staff was extremely friendly and made the experience super fun. The reason I give only 3 stars is because food itself wasn't great; tasted like it was heated up frozen food. My daughter LOVED her grilled cheese sandwich and says it's her favorite restaurant. Also staff was not taking corona virus precautions if that is something that concerns you. I have always loved coming here. I don't know what is better-the food or the service. The prices are perfect, and the food is always so good. The staff make you feel right at home, as does the atmosphere of the building. It can get pretty crowded, but that is to be expected. No big deal. The food is still served quick. read more

I have walked in and out twice. First time, no menu to look at. The eggs that I saw coming off of the flattop were almost black in color for the flattop looks like it is never cleaned. Stopped here for someplace different for breakfast. Sat down fast and got a cup of coffee. But that is where the good ended. I drank my entire cup of coffee with out getting a menu. They were busy, but I think that is unacceptable. My wife got decaf coffee and her comment was that the pot was mad a very long time ago. Again unacceptable. When I went to pay for our coffee I got attitude from the server/cashier/cook, not sure what her job was. She started to explain that she hadn't forgotten about us, but when I said it sure as hell felt like we were forgotten about. She argued about not wanting our money, and would not accept payment. If you are a regular, she asked you to write your own ticket, she did it to someone that came in after us. We have been in here for lunch when they weren't busy and got good service and food. But I guess they can't handle a crowd. As of now I will not be back. It was inconvenient enough with them not taking credit cards to eat there, and now to get rotten service, no reason to ever go back. Visitors beware, go somewhere else for local food. read more

Hello I'm real sorry I apologize but I really wanted some liver very very much and I'm sorry I didn't get my appetite satisfied I got I called in order some liver at Howard's the lady was arguing about fussing and all through my conversation off and on about somebody else's liver on the grill was burning up because she was taking my phone call I said well don't burn my liver at well if I'm on the phone I said within if you are on the God damn phone you can't take takeout orders for call ins you don't know how to do to you not multitask my liver was nasty it was hard it was tough as hell it have raw pieces it had black stuff all over it and so did the onions my Beats had black spots all through it I didn't know what it was the cabbage was good I really did not enjoy my dinner I went to the park and sat there and tried to eat it I couldn't even cut it cut so gentle but it cut through my box those paper forks and spoons and knives are not strong enough I just couldn't enjoy it was nasty look like garbage and I think I had somebody else's order anyway the grill is not been cleaned and another thing I like my liver clean I don't like black grilled stuff all over it and frying things all day long on it when I walked in that place I've only been in there three times I think all the customers are immune to it they've been coming there so long it smells really horrible that place look so dingy and filthy that they need a facelift they need a whole new building is just awful they're so back in the Dark Ages with that building I can't believe they cram it just looks like a pack of can of sardines so crammed in there you just you feel clustered the place the frigerator looked awful I hope the hell Department don't ever come in there but my concern is a need a bigger and wider place them old folks should try to get to Branch out and build enlarge their territory because that in that building to smell awful when you walk in it doesn't even smell like food anymore the foods of all gone together and the walls just they just look like they're back in the day and they are and I've had to deliver before and whoever cooked it did a good job but this time I am very disappointed and unhappy and I'm still want liver I'm hungry now I got to think of what else I'm going to eat I'm going to call Piggly Wiggly they said they were fits me liver to order as I need it and want it and I tried a piece of their liver the other day oh my god Till I mean delicious delicious I can't describe how good it tastes I like my liver pretty and my onions pretty and brown and not burnt and not all that black stuff all over my food my dinner box just look nasty like garbage I'm sorry I'm sorry they shouldn't cook like that like I said I think she gave me somebody else's liver before me read more

I've read some reviews that don't seem to get the laid back atmosphere of Howard's. True, show up on a Saturday when every seat is full and you will wait for coffee. They make you feel like family and they cook for you like you are family. The food is seasoned properly, prepared well and priced right. My favorite Restaurant in Moncks Corner by far. 2 stars may be a little harsh but I will give my 1 experience with Howard's My wife and I came in and she had eaten there dozen's of times before, but it was my first time. after coming in and feeling the room for where I'd like to sit found a booth that suited my needs well, the server/waitress came up and asked about drinks I said coffee and water wife said tea, she returns with water and tea... its about 8 am. then the server starts with I have menus but have them tucked away for safe keeping so she can do this little soap box ringling bros act that honestly before having coffee took all I had to even follow. to where before I know it I've ordered a cheap 2 egg breakfast with sausage and it wasn't what I even wanted but to stop the rant I would've eaten a bullet. I asked my wife what just happened and I really came in hoping for an omlette but got eggs that had bits of carbon from the dirty grill, the wrong toast, and still no coffee. I'm not one to say much because my tone always seems sharp and condensending even when I don't want to be. So I dare not say anything to the dancing server about my coffee or about my whole meal but eat what I could and left. now the service what excellent, she came often enough for my wife to get refills and I managed to get some water again but next time and there will be a next time I will have to make my point by stopping the little show ask for coffee before it continues get a menu and then and only then order what I want instead of her asking me how I want my 2 egg breakfast.
