Easy to miss because it's inside the bar, but definitely has some good bbq. And very nice staff! :)

You can call ahead to get your name in the line for seating to save your wait time. The complimentary chicharron bowl was a great way to start the meal. Use the bbq sauces as dip. Order: Half rack ribs. Not the best texture on this rack. Just a little too soft for me. Salt level was aggressive. I would not recommend the portion we were served today. I think they just had an off day. Brisket. Tender and juicy. Perfectly smoked. This was a delicious bite. Bbq style Cuban sandwich. This was a memorable bite of food. Great spin on a classic. Sides: Mac and cheese. Creamy, saucy and flavorful. Highly recommended. Fresh cut fries. Definitely worth the upgrade. The dill lemon aioli is highly recommended. Cheesy grits. Yummy. The star of the show was the thinly sliced pickled jalapeño on top. Added that sweet vinegar crunch. Poblano corn. Good flavor. Just ok. Baked beans. Good bite but nothing special or memorable. I would skip. Collar greens. Tender and flavorful. Highly recommended.

The food is generally really good and full of smoke. I love their fried ribs but I probably will ask for the sauce on the side next time. It can be overwhelmingly saucy. I loved the beautiful art designed outside the restaurant. Our server was on point the entire time, refilling our drinks and ensuring everything was to our satisfaction. This was our first trip to Duluth together, being from the Twin Cities; Burger Paradox was definitely one of the tastiest places we've been to and we loved it so much we've decided we need to come back.

We were waited on by the bartender right away who gave great drink and food recommendations. Their entire menu is very unique from the cocktails to the apps to the various wings and burgers. Are you at a different cocktail and I had the orange shrimp which came with a popsicle in it which was incredible. It reminded me of the Flintstones push-ups from when I was a kid. We split the deal cheese cards and we all got a different burger to try so we could share. They smash style burgers and we really enjoyed them all (paul b'onion, wompling, whata Gouda). They also have four of their own house made sauces which were all incredible. The fries and Brussels on the side were also all delicious. The interior decor and painting murals on the wall are all super unique as well as the lights in the ceiling give a very cool vibe to the place. 10/10 recommend if you're looking for a burger or even a fun drink!

I had heard great things about Bent Paddle Brewing's taproom - and it did not disappoint. A huge…read morestage with music set up outside and the inside was extremely expansive. Bent Paddle Brewing Company is a family-owned and operated craft brewery and taproom in Duluth, Minnesota. The brewery opened in May 2013 and uses Lake Superior water to brew it's beers and hemp beverages. Bent Paddle's mission is to create a unique craft beer experience while also being sustainable for the business, employees, environment, and community. And they deliver on it all. I got a flight to enjoy some of their more limited offerings. Munchin Pretzels: An Oktoberfest beer brewed with traditional German Malts and Hops. I get toasted bread malt character with a bit of sweetness, but rounded out by a hop bitterness. The malt profile is definitely the forefront and I wished I had a pretzel to go with it. Infinity Stuf: An Oatmeal Stout that they went all out with 100 pounds of Oreos. Nutty oatiness, chocolate, and medium fullness. I appreciate it not being a Pastry Stout, but still get lots of Oreo character. A Beer of Their Own: A Hoppy Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with a Bar Of Their Own in the Twin Cities. Tropical fruit forward - primarily melon and cantaloupe, with a nice finish. Stratarado: A Hoppy Pale Ale brewed with Strata and El Dorado (get the name?). Tropical fruit, pineapple, some sweetness on the tongue. Liked this one a lot. ______

I had the grandma burger off the senior menu, Just the right size for me. It was cooked perfectly…read moreand they have homemade fries. Service was great.

Accidentally found this place on maps. Tip: always zoom in and out in an area when looking for food…read moreas the buttons seem to pop at different "elevations". SO glad I stopped. I had the special, a simple cheeseburger and fries. Simple it was not. This will now be my go-to place for a burger whenever I'm in town. The burger is never frozen, the fries are real and fresh cut (but they do it right and soak them in water). OMG, I was expecting a typical flat little burger and a half a dozen bites of fries...oh no, bring your appetite my friend! The burger was juicy and thick but also fully cooked. The fries were divine! They were golden brown with a perfect crisp, skin on for flavor, and not too skinny nor thick AND didn't leave me wanting more. I ALWAYS want more fries. I made the mistake of saying "no" to tomato and lettuce and onion. They are usually a little limp leaf of nearly white lettuce and a paper thin slice of lacy flavorless wet tomato. Nope, not here. I saw them preparing other baskets as I was sitting at the counter awaiting my order...the fixings were thick, bright, and crunchy! Don't skip it. I'm also super excited to try their other dinner selections like meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy. I have a hunch the potatoes won't be instant. I'm curious about breakfast too, although I'm never in town that early. They have a small selection of desserts as well. They also serve my favorite root beer, 1919, along with 1919 cream soda which I didn't even know they had! Just like the quality and quantity of food, the service is what I remember it used to be. I was greeted with a genuine warm and welcome smile. I wad given an appropriate amount of time to decide before being pestered multiple times. My questions were answered without a look of annoyance and I wasn't made to feel like a bother. The small talk was personable and appropriate. Service sets the tone and I felt comfortable and belonging. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars was it kinda yucked me out nobody wore gloves at any point. Grabbing fistful of potatoes out of a bucket of water would require a type of dishwashing glove, and I get that they are fried in hot oil so that didn't bother me as much. It was more the handling the raw fixings without gloves and noting that the lettuce (as beautiful as it was), and I'm assuming the other vegetables, we're not washed prior. I don't think many restaurants do for the reason of preparation speed and ingredient longevity. That part bothers me everywhere because all I can think of is pesticides and germs. I don't typically end on a less than positive note but, I knew this one was going to be lengthy and people's attention spans short. I lied, I will say this...I left very happy and satisfied and NOT smelling of grease! In summary, GO!
