Worst possible customer service EVER.!!!!!! I walked in and got treated horribly, All because the 1st question i asked was "May I Please use your restroom?".... I have purchased several appliances I even have a credit card with Howard's. Little do they know I had planned to purchase, but do to the fact that I felt and got treated with such disrespect and got discriminated because they ASSUMED I was only there to use the restroom it felt horrible. If it was company policy in all stores I would understand but since it's NOT i verified with other Howards locations. My husband and toddler son went to Howard's yesterday to look for a new dishwasher for our home. They were helped by General Manager, Jessica Badeau. I can't stress enough how much she helped my husband with choosing the right appliance, according to our needs and within our price range. My husband said Jessica was top notch in customer service and made the entire process very easy. My son took a quick liking to Jessica and she even entertained him while my husband was trying to work with me via phone to make a decision on the dishwasher. Visited the Howards in Covina yesterday at 1p.m. My husband and I were one of two customers in the entire store on a Saturday? I had already picked out online the dryer I wanted. All the salesman needed to do was ring it up my purchase and schedule my next day delivery. We left the store feeling better than out last visit to this stores store opening which was pathetic! I was told that I would get a call in the evening with the time of my next day delivery. I never got a call and this a.m. I started calling at 8:30 a.m trying to get in touch with someone regarding my delivery. After 3 calls, I got the president's office and explained this issue. The president's office noticed that the salesman entered a delivery date of 10/4 instead of today, 11/4???? This was the start of my day off, sitting around waiting to hear from Howard's appliance store!!! When the store opened I called back a 4th time to talk to my salesman on which he apologized for his error but I was also out of luck on getting my delivery till later in the week!! I asked to speak to the General Manager, regarding some sort of accommodation for my being stuck waiting around for calls from Howard's. General Manager, Brian Klotz did not have a clue what I was requesting and basically proceeded to tell me that he was paying $100.00 for a special delivery on 11/5 between 4-6p.m for me?????? Not my problem!!!! He than asked me what more he could do for me. I replied, Cancel the order"!!!! In addition, while sitting on hold numerous times with Howard's Appliance, their auto attendant was equally as offensive as their lack of good customer service!!! While on hold, their auto attendant on their phone system touts their next day service. Also, offers you to come in to buy a new mattress that is not "as lumpy as a full diaper"!!!!! Where do I Start.....A family member bought us the washer and dryer, but we did not setup a delivery date because we have not moved into our home yet, so when we did move in we also needed a stove..... When I went to purchase the Stove I asked if both the washer and dryer and the stove if they could be delivered the same day. The man said yes, however because they switched consultants in the middle of the transaction somewhere they forget to include the washer and dryer on the deliver. I missed the next day delivery by 2 minutes REALLY..... So I had to wait until Monday. For our Dryer we did not have an exhaust system setup yet, however when we did get it setup the Hose they gave us was a foot short... Just Lovely. just so they could save some money they cut the hose too short and we had to take a trip to home depot. A less than a month later I had the Gas company come out to check my gas lines to make sure nothing is leaking. I come to find out that they HOWARDS had used 2 different sizes (OLD AND USED) connection pieces for the stove and that it was leaking. Now I have to go to home depot and get the correct connection hose. Not to mention they had to turn off my Gas line. HUH JUST ANOTHER THING TO DEAL WITH. If you do decide to go with Howards just deliver it yourself and set it up by yourself at least you know the job was done right. I will never shop at Howards again. Forget it. read more

When my LG washer died on Monday I went into Howards to see about a replacement. I was greeted by Anthony and he did a fine job of making sure I didn't buy more than I needed and was able to steer me to a washer/dryer stack that was within my budget and size requirements. He was able to get it delivered the next day. The delivery and set up was also a 5 star experience. The young men who came in were wonderful, professional, friendly, thorough and just did a great job. I always have had good service from Howards. I won't go anywhere else. The fact that their delivery staff are their own employees and not contracted makes a huge difference in accountability. We love Howards!!! We have purchased mattress, microwave, and stainless steel refrigerator, and the sales person Brian even gave me cleaner for the frig, Never have I had a problem. Went in and spoke with salesperson, Edward. He was gung ho! We purchased an oven, stovetop, refrigerator and dishwasher. We gave him our measurements and he led us to everything we would need. That was on 12/14/17. He said they would all be delivered on 12/28, which we would get a call on 12/27 with an approximate time and installed by an installer they refer to on 12/29. He also said when they delivered everything, they would pick up the old appliance which we had in the garage. WELL....after not hearing from anyone, I called the first week in January. I was told by the store manager that they couldn't get the oven we ordered so he had a different one that was more expensive and he would trade it out at no charge. When the oven was installed it was too short. The installer said they no longer made the oven in the measurements we needed, so we had to pay for a "plate filler" to be special made to cover the hole. It seems Edward doesn't remember ever having the measurements. Also, they delivered the refrigerator only, so wouldn't take any of the other appliances. They had the installer they referred us to (that we hired and paid) deliver the appliances he was installing. He felt bad so he hauled away the old appliances. We had delivery set up THREE times it was a disaster. I would NEVER use Howard's again. I was trying to shop locally as my husband and I own a business in Covina, but after being treated like this, it just isn't worth it. read more

I just wanted to share my experience over this Memorial Day weekend. I went into Howards in the city of Covina because I was having trouble with my lg Dryer. When I walked in I wasn't sure if I was gonna get the help I needed however I dealt with a sales rep named Angel who made me feel right at home and took care of my problem right away with no charge. I'm not a big Yelp user but this experience caused me to jump on Yelp and leave a review. I will definitely refer my friends and family to Howards in Covina and I will especially refer them to Angel this guy knows what he's talking about and knows how to get things done! read more

Refrigerator went out and after attempting to fix it I couldn't get it working. Had a repairman come out and he said it was a dead compressor and might as well just buy a new one. Decided to look at the new Howard's Store in Covina and was impressed at the selection. The best part of going here was we weren't hounded by a sales person as we stepped foot inside. We looked around and discussed it between us for awhile which was nice. After a few minutes we were greeted by Brian Klotz who was very knowledgeable on all models and features. After answering our questions it was determined the one we chose was in stock and could be delivered the next day. My wife and I recently remodeled kitchen and were looking for some higher end appliances. We were flipping between Howards and Pacific Sales. Ultimately we choose Howards for a number of reasons. First the appliances were the same make and models at both stores but Howards prices were better. Secondly, Sales associate Deanne and Manager Brian Klotz at Howards Covina were extremely helpful and very kind to us and to the other customers in the store. They bent over backwards to get us the right appliances and to work shipping to our required time of need. The called on us to check if everything went well with the appliances and offered further assistance should any issues arise. I cannot say enough about these associates. Bought our fridge here, we heard prices were good so we tried it out. Sales person we got was a little pushy and tried to make me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about as far as price matches, promotional financing, etc. At this point we had gone a week without a fridge so we desperately needed one, we ended up agreeing on a model and price and purchased it. I bought a washer and dryer , sale person was fine but delivery was not good It's was scheduled to be delivered between 4 and 7 pm. Then they called to tell me that it was going to be closer to 8 pm. It's was at 9:55 that the delivery person called to ask me if I want my stuff to be delivered. I took my mom into Howard's to buy a microwave. After looking at all the stores you might think to shop for a microwave my mom saw one she liked. Yay! However they were out of stock. The sales person said he could get some more stock the next day. So we had to come back the next day. The next day we came and the person who wrote it up was nice enough to carry it out to my vehicle. The following day we un boxed it, set it up on the counter and noticed the logo (which was Frigidaire) on the front of the microwave was sku'd like a teeter totter. I emailed the the the sales person Ricardo Morales and copied a generic email address to the store. I heard nothing from the store by the way but the sales person Ricardo Morales who wasn't at the store at the time emailed back quick quickly and said he would arrange and exchange. True to his word he had another microwave ready to exchange the very next day. Of course we checked the logo before we left. All in all we had to make 3 trips to Howard's to buy the microwave. Two because they didn't have it in in stock. And another to return it for one with a proper logo. And that trip included me having to re-box it. This was not Howard's fault but it kind of put it little tarnish on the experience. I gave 4 stars not because of the logo problem. That was not Howard's fault. (Shame on you Frigidaire for your poor quality control). We are happy with the microwave. We would probably be looking for one had we not found this one at Howard's. And also I was impressed with Ricardo Morales and how quickly he responded to our problem. If you take the logo problem out of the mix, the 4 stars is because we had to make two trips to make the purchase. I shop Howard's again. read more

I purchased a top of the line dishwasher from Howard's appliances on 12/19/14 for $615.00. I also paid for a 5-year extended warranty. Today's date is 11/20/17. Two of the plastic wheels broke off, so I must lift the rack to push it in. Howard's Appliances gave me the name & number of the warranty company, which is Warrantech. Warrentech told me it was not covered, and that they don't sell parts. I called Howard's again and was given different answers each time. Howard's referred me back to the warranty company, (this went back and forth several times.) I just want the wheels, seems like a reasonable request, right? The last call I made to Warrantech, I was told that Howard's appliances just cancelled my extended warranty. No one at Howard's would fess up to it, they said they would have to call their corporate office to find out why my policy was cancelled. I looked up the corporate office online and I called. The phone number was a different phone number at the store location, but it lead me back to the Howard's rep at Laguna Hills. I guess my next step is to call the Better Business Bureau. read more

Angel is the best. I needed a fridge, slide in oven, and a built in micro. Angel did such a great job of finding the best deals and made sure that all the appliances were the same brand so they would match in the kitchen. So considerate. He really was knowledgeable and caring. I never felt like I was being swindled by a smarmy salesguy...no upselling, just honest and straight forward. I ended up also buying a washer and dryer because the deals were just too good to be beat (I had been shopping around for weeks at home depot, lowes, sears outlet, costco, Craigslist and online...so I had a good grasp of prices). Also, the micro I bought was final sale. When I got home I noticed I had measured the cabinet wrong and it was too big. Angel took it back and found us one that would fit. So easy. I will be buying all future appliances with Angel. Highly recommend Angel if you want premium appliances on a tight budget. read more

My experience so far, and as of April 1, 2016.... I conducted my research online for the washer dryer I was interested in purchasing before visiting Howards. First off, I phoned Howards (Covina) before going in, and I talked to the sales rep (Ricardo Morales) to get some details. He was very courteous and helpful so when I went to the store I made sure I asked for him to help me. This is the guy to look for if you want your shopping experience to be smooth and worthwhile. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend him!!! In addition to providing a positive in-store experience, the delivery and installation team provided the same quality experience that Ricardo gave in-store. The delivery (March 29, 2016) went as planned. Jose, and his delivery team were polite and respectful. They removed the existing appliances without issue and Jose even cleaned the area before installing the new appliances.
