Talk of the Town Tacos (potato, add queso, bacon, jalapeno, sour cream) with Fried Pepper Jack Cheese Curds

We went on a Sunday late lunch early dinner and it was completely dead so we got seated right away. We were worried with how slow it was that it would be bad food or service but we were wrong. We all really enjoyed our food and the inside is super cute. They have rooftop seating as an option but not much coverage from the sun and its bar style seats as a heads up. From the looks of the website it seems like they have some fun events and nightlife like live music. Really affordable too! Definitely stop by and check them out.

Went here last night, Taco Tuesday. I had a Mango Wheat beer that was absolutely delicious to go along with my BBQ plate, with slaw and okra. The wife had two tacos. What a great place to get real BBQ. Service was great! Yelpers have this place spot on.

Sat on the roof to enjoy a nice breeze. Our order was taken quickly. . The server was extremely polite and helpful. The food came out hot in nice size portions. All had good flavor but our favorites were the mac & cheese and pork. Tried 3 sauces (chipotle, traditional vinegar & original) we liked the original.

I love this place! One of my favorite spots in Boone. Bonus points because of the roof top. Their weekly specials are amazing and the bbq is really good. I like the blueberry sauce!

Ate on the rooftop - nothing special about this area. It's very casual with bar type/stool seating. Has room for about 12 seated. Our food was good! Brisket was plentiful and so tender, Mac n cheese Smokey and cheesy. Hubby said the maple bacon wings were the best he's ever had and he's had a lot! I didn't get a chance to take photos of the food because we devoured it! Knocked one star off for the uncomfortable seating. Daniel was our server and he was awesome

We went here, after finding it on Yelp, for our huge family vacation we do every year. And hands down, everyone loved it! Us adults, all of our kiddos, and even our grands were tearing down! Everyone pretty much ordered something different and everyone raved about how good the food was. The service was also amazing, especially with it being our servers first big party. We didn't wait long for anything, whether it be our drinks, our food, or our dranks! She also had a great personality and was so good with the younger kids. My husband and I have a thing where we order apps at places we've never been so we can share and taste more, so we ordered one of everything plus a side of the smoked mac n cheese. Everyone else got a little bit of everything else they offered. Every item we tasted was perfection! We loved it all. We all kind of let everyone taste whatever, and we left there full and happy. The adults partook and the bar kept them flowing. Some of their signature drinks were really good! If you're in the area try them out definitely!

Every time we come in it is consistently good! And wonderful service!! My favorite place in Boone

Food/drinks were delish & our waiter & bartender were amazing! The ambiance of the place is very laid back with a smidge of razzle dazzle to it. Yummy margaritas! It's a street over from the main strip, so it's kinda like a hidden gem but we'll worth it.

A terrific local business we're happy to endorse. We visited here only once, for lunch last week, but had a very fine experience with the restaurant's signature salad (consisting of lots of lettuce, pork, jalapeños, onions, cheese, bacon, Queso, ranch dressing). Very yummy and very filling. We ate outside though there's a nice inside dining area and a rooftop, too. We spoke with the owner, Chelsea Jackson, and told her how much we enjoyed the food and service (Joe was an excellent, attentive server, with a sense of humor to boot) and how fortunate we thought Boone is to have this establishment around. Not much else to say; we'll be back the next time we're visiting this area. In the meantime if you can get there ahead of us, we think you'll enjoy it.

Cheese curbs. Very crispy and chewy. Not your traditional style but super good.

Skip to the end to see my rating scale…read more There are a few choices for breweries in Boone and Appalachian Mountain is a really good one. Mama and I each got a flight and we were both able to find one or two that made us want a full pint. They have a good variety of styles to pick from, so anyone should be able to find something that suits their taste. They have a generous amount of outdoor seating as well as a stage where they host live music. Dog friendly too, which is a big check in the box for us. Top it all off with a food truck that was open when we arrived early in the afternoon, and these guys offer the three things we most appreciate in a brewery - outdoor seating, food availability, and most importantly, good beer! 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

It might have just been the holiday rush, but I always figure "busy means good," so my expectations were high--and The Local didn't disappoint. We started with the nachos; they were delicious, though I do wish they came with a bit more meat. For mains, the burger was outstanding--probably one of the best we've had in the entire area. We also ordered the Brazilian steak, which was cooked perfectly and came with great plantains. The quinoa with tofu was good, too, though it was a little dry and would have been perfect with a sauce. The service really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and refilled my water at least four times without me asking. Great ambiance and an all-around good experience. Definitely worth the wait!

Bar tender provided menus, and checked back on us after a few minutes to take order. They've got a good menu with pizza, sandwiches, burgers, and a good variety of entrees (seafood, steak, chicken, pasta), basically, they've got something for everyone. Not being too hungry, but knowing we needed something, we decided to just split an order of the pulled pork nachos. The food came out fairly quickly, looked and tasted great. They did not skimp on toppings. Staff was friendly, food was good, only complaint is it was very dark inside, and surprisingly loud in the restaurant, I can't imagine being there with live music, I assume it would be impossible to have a conversation.

My wife and I was were welcomed in by the hostess and seated quickly. It's not a huge space, but they've got a good bit of seating, and a little more upstairs, which allows you to look down into the brewery. Our server, Alex was very friendly and offered some beer recommendations based on our preference. They had a good variety to pick from and even some canned to go. Their food menu also offered a good selection. My wife and I decided to share an order of loaded fries to start, and then the "white buffalo" pizza. I enjoy white pizza, and enjoy buffalo chicken pizza...but this was the first time I've ever seen them together. The food was great, everything, tasted really good, and had good flavors. The Game Day IPA and Lost Province IPA's were both also very tasty Being a Friday night, they had a live musician, playing great music, which we really enjoyed while we ate and took in the atmosphere. I'd pass this recommendation on as well, and would return to try some of their other varried menu next time I visit Boone
