Had a consult with the office manager. Not sure why the office manager and not the dentist. Her first comment was this is going to be pricey like we are poor and can't afford their service. And if we wanted to see the doctor it would be a non refundable deposit of $150.00 to schedule the appointment. We went to someone else that was more professional. read more

They charged $150.00 to set appointment and $300 for an estimate before they do anything . spent 4 hours there and $450 dollars and never got and estimate it seems to be all about the money not the client. FYI every where else is Free estimates and x-rays are free as well . So there are lots of options ..that are much better. read more

I have known this Doctor and the hard working staff but still can laugh and feel really comfortable trust me I just can't say enough about the whole team with Dr. Howard Steinberg. It's like a train in Europe the engine is in front and the last seating meaning his whole staff is all communicating with each other and that is really important in a Doctors office " communicating" is really important and Dr Howard Steinberg team and Howard himself makes sure everything is what you want and getting his advice. There is a great PEACE in Dr.Steinbergs' office. The moment I walked through the door, that PEACE SEEMED to wrap its arms around me. I felt accepted loved; I had arrived "home". I came to Dr.Steingberg as a congenital mess with years of added dental insult. in 3 countries where I have lived and had dental care, never have I experienced such in depth examinations, tests, ultrasounds etc etc to expose the whole picture not just "teeth". Appearances matter, but not as much as function. Those tests proved what I knew to a limited extent but had not disclosed, and I feel finally someone has hit the nail on the head and fully understands the gravity of the real needs. I've been seeing him for almost 10 years for all my dental needs but most importantly for a six tooth bridge that he did for me which included my top front two teeth. Obviously a big and important job to me. Not only did he use his brilliant mind and research, he consulted with several other colleagues to confirm his strategy for tackling the challenge. Dr. Steinberg was referred to me by my general dentist several years ago when I broke off a 3-tooth bridge in the front of my mouth. He is very professional and a perfectionist. I was seen on an emergency basis in Dr Steinbergs office today - and he and his staff were hands down the best experience I've ever had and I've been doing dental surgeries, bridges and implants since I was 19 and involved in a car accident. I saw another dentist in town yesterday at Stratman Family Dentistry and was told to keep trying to hold my now failed and shattered bridge in with Fixodent until we moved a week from now and could see a dentist in Boise. I don't believe anyone else would find that answer acceptable or compassionate when it is your front teeth and you're starting a new job on your arrival to an new city. Dr Steinberg and his staff not only fit me in but assured me something could be done and they went to work using professionalism, compassion and vast knowledge to start turning my dental trauma around. They arranged last second for a surgery to remove a post at Southern Endodontist with Dr Justin Hughes. I see Dr Steinberg tomorrow to finish the work. Best cleanings on the planet, and the work Dr. Steinberg performed on me is nothing short of perfection. Ten crowns completely changed not only my smile, but my confidence to smile again. Procedures here take time, due to the careful approach that is taken with patients. You will walk out of the office with the most gorgeous teeth for the long haul. He redid work from a previous dentist that wasn't that old, because the crown didn't fit properly. I had developed periodontal disease in both lower quads with regular dental visits at my previous dentists due to inferior cleanings. My entire mouth has changed for the better, and because of this, I will keep my teeth. The process of cording your teeth for proper fitting of crowns was something I'd never experienced before; pushing the gums upward or downward with a string to insure the crown fits under the gum line. He constantly checks in to be sure you are comfortable and explains everything carefully. His staff is skilled and professional. They call to remind you of your appointment, go over your estimated costs in advance and take time to explain everything. Top notch. He is not a general dentist, he is a prosthodontist. I've been seeing Dr. Steinberg for 14 years. He has seen to it that I have successful implants which hold my permanent lower dentures, and am now on my third upper dentures - which fit well and should not break. As technology improves I get a better fit with my dentures, and I am sure to keep them clean with my quarterly clean-ups. He is always up-to-date and has been great to work with over the years. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I had a dental emergency and they were the first place I called since they were first on Google's list. I got a quote that i thought was really high, but agreed to schedule an appointment. Keep in mind I told them i was paying cash up front. They said they were going to look in their calendar for an open spot to schedule me and that they would call me back. I called back after 2 hours and the office was closed. They never called me back. Calling around they were by far the most expensive. A pretty website is not a replacement for basic manners. would never recommend. P.S, I searched on Yelp for a place with great review and got scheduled over the phone right then at HALF the price Howard $teinberg's office quoted me. read more

So I normally don't write a review at all so this is a first. The doctor may be good but was never able to get an appointment with him. My almost 18 year old daughter called as I requested of her. She got a receptionist that told her that her issue didn't seem that big and she should go to a regular dentist because the crowns that she is desperately needing weren't important. She then told her that the crowns that she was asking for would be way to expensive for her and even went as far as saying "Why did you even call us?" I couldn't believe that a receptionist couldn't just schedule an appointment and stop trying to diagnose the issue, let alone tell my daughter that the way she feels about herself and her smile doesn't matter. I would like to let Dr. Steinberg know that I would never recommend anyone to him because of the way my daughter was treated by the receptionist. It was almost like a scene out of "Pretty Woman" when she was trying to buy clothes. Again a thumbs down for me and everyone I know.
