The most stress-free dental experience I've had in years, thanks to a wonderfully talented doctor, caring staff, and beautiful setting. Having had extensive procedures in several other parts of the country (including several crowns and an implant that were well done by my previous provider, in San Diego), I was unsure I'd find an office in Tucson that could match the level of expertise I've had elsewhere. Dr. Mitchell made that simple -- he not only has excellent depth in general and aesthetic dentistry but is also just an incredibly nice person. I'm someone who experiences major anxiety in the chair, and I've found Dr. Mitchell's easygoing demeanor a huge relief. I also appreciate that the hygienist is extremely respectful and patient-focused. For instance, I'd had my last bitewings eleven months before, and before my arrival, she had noticed that and double-checked with my insurance to ensure I was eligible, but more important, she also asked me if I would prefer to have them a little early or wait until my next visit. It's completely refreshing to have the staff ask what the patient wants, instead of trying to push services or products. Another major advantage is the office itself -- located on Grant Road (north lane, next door to Black Rock Coffee, just across the street from the Mercedes Benz dealer and slightly west of the post office), the building has ample covered parking, and the interior capitalizes perfectly on stunning views of the Catalinas, with several exam chairs facing straight out to the gorgeous scenery...just another way to feel relaxed and happy in a place dedicated to making you flash your best smile! read more

Dr. Mitchell is one of dental professions that truly loves his occupation, because he demonstrates it in how well he treated me the patient. Dr Mitchell and staff are the very best!!! They are friendly and always make sure that you are being cared in the best way possible. I sit here this morning in a bit of pain from having a wisdom tooth extracted yesterday. But I am happy and thankful for Dr. Brian Mitchell and his team for what they did yesterday and the care they've given me over the past couple of years. I spent many years not taking care of my teeth, and my smoking only made things worse. I lost a few teeth from lack of care. I had crowns needing to be repaired, and I hadn't had a cleaning in at least ten years. So I came to Dr. Mitchell in hopes that I would be able to smile again with confidence. When I sat in the lobby waiting on my first visit, I almost left because I was a embarrassed and nervous at the same time. However, Dr. Mitchell and his team are welcoming and helped me relax a bit. He gave me a consultation and was clear with the dental work I needed done. I could imagine what my mouth would look like, and that helped me. The feelings I felt in the lobby started to dissipate-a complete 360. I could feel myself becoming emotional as I realized Things could change: i wouldn't have to grin and avoid showing my teeth. I would have to speak softly while trying to keep my mouth closed, forcing me to repeat myself constantly because people couldn't hear me. Dr. Mitchell let me know that it would be a process with many visits but ensured that he would do his best to help me transform my smile. I respect that Dr. Mitchell never made me feel bad about my teeth as I had felt for many years. He is cheerful, kind, funny at times, caring, and an extraordinary dentist! Now, I am smiling! I am laughing louder than I used to. I am speaking more confidently and no longer mumbling. I can't thank Dr. Mitchell enough for what he has done for me. I used to drive all the way from LA to Tucson to see my old dentist Dr. Doerr because thats where I'm from. Once you find a good dentist you feel safe and you want to keep seeing them. He retired and passed his office onto Dr. Mitchell. I trusted Dr. Doerr's decision and still drive all the way to Tucson to see Dr. Mitchell. You don't want to go to a dentist and feel like they are in a hurry and that they don't have time for you. Dr. Mitchell did a filling on me because there was a cavity between my molars. He made sure that when he made the porcelin filling it was completely smooth with no sharp edges. He made sure that there was no extra space for food to get stuck. He actually redid the porcelin because he wasn't satisfied with the way it came out. With Dr. Mitchell he isn't just going to do whatever it takes to get you out of the chair so that the next patient can come in. He takes his time and does the job right. read more

This is a wonderful dental office--from the cleanliness and location, to the staff, and of course the dentist, Dr. Mitchell. My hygienist is Amy and she does a superb job (without discomfort!) Dr. Mitchell has done work for both me and my husband, and I guarantee you that if there is any issue, he willwork with you to resolve it. He recently capped a tooth of mine, and when he was done, my tooth felt wonderful. But, he insisted on a follow-up in a couple of weeks, and when I went back, he adjusted the byte, just a small amount. The "wonderful" feel I had initially was EVEN BETTER after the adjustment, and I didn't even know it was needed! Thanks to them, I don't dread those dental visits. Our entire family believes in Brian and team. He does meticulously detailed dental work such that you always feel there are never any corners cut and the fit is right. Having had too much dental work done over the years, I was concerned about a new dentist when we moved into town. He's stabilized what was there, never pushed work. Insisted on saving rather than pulling teeth. He's done everything up and including an implant. My last cracked tooth due to an old crown was replaced with a new crown, designed on screen and made right in his office. Perfect fit. He is aware of all the latest technology, but only employs it when it's been proven. His entire staff, Tensey, Rhonda, Jessica, Chris, Bev etc are wonderful. I even stop by on holidays to say hello to let them know I appreciate them. I went to Dr. Mitchell to see if he could add a tooth to my partial since I had to get a tooth pulled. He said it was IMPOSSIBLE and that I'd have to buy a whole new partial for $2500! I went to another Dentist to get a 2nd opinion and I'm so glad I did because he pulled the tooth and added a tooth to the partial for under $500. So Dr. Mitchell flat out lied to me. We tried a few but found that these places were filled with unprofessional staff members and we never were able to see the same dentist twice in order to establish a relationship.
