I've been going to Martin Taylor for two years now. I had to delay a cleaning due to closing on a home and briefly went elsewhere, but never again! Dr. Martin is terrific and everyone is friendly here. They even adjusted the crown I had done at Aspen because my bite was off and it hurt, and that was awesome! I won't ever go anywhere else again because they really take great care of you, and make sure to schedule you for cleanings and give you appointment reminder cards regularly, which is something Aspen Dental was pretty lazy with. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great dental practice in the Tucson area, you won't be disappointed. read more

I want to give them 5/5 because they are professional, clean, kind. I also wanted to give them a 2/5 because 1) even though all of the assistants were kind, their job as the suction and water application is very important and can actually make or break an experience and I didn't enjoy being gagged, poked unnecessarily, and having to swallow the dirty dental water with chemical/tooth fragments in it and 2) my care plan changed mid second appointment under nitrus so they had to oxygenate me for my signature and then give me nitrus again to complete the work and the additional tooth. 3) I was never actually shown my xrays while they discussed the care plan and I think some attention to detail might have avoided the reason I am ultimately unhappy. My first visit I was told we would be working on 4 teeth and watching one, and we would be separating those into two visits. They did the bottom teeth on the first visit, where I expressed concern about my top retainer not fitting me when they do the work at the next visit. They told me not to worry and that it would be fine, just to bring the retainer so we could make sure it fit correctly. They also said they can do retainers and said they could straighten my bottom teeth for me (I have a permanent retainer there but they are only slightly crooked and I wasn't asking about that). I was in the chair probably 3.5 hours for both visits. When I showed up for the second visit - I reminded him about my retainer and that I brought it in, he said okay, no worries we will try that at the end to make sure it fits correctly and that they could make it fit if it didn't. They got me started on nitrus and were tinkering in there for a while and then he said alright so we actually need to do this other tooth that we were only watching but you can come back for that and now we're gonna be watching this other (random) tooth too. Unfortunately, this made me a bit skeptical because I don't understand with the x-rays and the full inspection that took HOURS the first time, why we wouldn't be aware of this. This conversation all took place while I was already on nitrus and they'd been working in my mouth a while. They said we have to bring you off the nitrus to get your signature to do the other tooth if that's what you want to do. I said fine, I wasn't really wanting to come back so soon, do it. I wasn't wanting to do a third appointment after they said I'd be doing two and not have to come back a while. The cost of that would obviously go up to pay for a repeat of the nitrus and whatever else. They had me sign the paper and put me back on nitrus. Then when it was finished he asked how my teeth felt, I said good I think (they had to give me more of the numbing agent because I was feeling again and so I couldn't feel much of anything until the very next day around noon, almost a whole day later) but that I just wanted to make sure my retainer fit because it cost me a lot to get them this way. He said ok grab it and we'll try it on but followed up with there's no guarantee it's going to fit. WHAAT... no. That was literally the opposite of what had been said. I was told to bring it, so that we could ensure it fit. So yeah, I wanted to love this office and ive been telling everyone to go and that they're awesome but upon writing the review I think the niceness and cleanliness gave them more credit than maybe they deserved. That said, I'd have been more upset if they'd made me come back later but I also think they are inconsistent with what my needs are and left me feeling like it was a used car salesmen type business. Everything with my teeth feels healthy and good. But my retainer doesn't fit how it should and I didn't like the change of tone from it will fit to it might not and that's just the way it is, but we can make you another one and fix your teeth again.. $$ and also adding more teeth in to work on that weren't mentioned at the original care plan. Including a new tooth to "watch" when the one they said they were watching was one they wanted to fix after all. This was not a terrible experience, just could have been better. For improvement, I recommend more training for the assistants, and more consistency in the care plan for the doctor I saw. This office was beautifully maintained, clean and comfortable. read more

I have a horrid anxiety issue with dentists. I'm a Clinical Therapist by trade and I can't even deep breathe or meditate my way through the level of anxiety I get going to the dentist. That being said, I just had my initial appointment with Dr Abraham and I couldn't have felt more at ease. He offered several different ways to get my teeth taken care of while managing my wild anxiety. He was very patient, gentle and kind. The insurance person there was amazing, made you feel like you've known her your whole life and all the office staff were very kind and welcoming. I'm surprised to say that I'm looking forward to working with them all and I'm so grateful I found Dr Abraham and this practice. read more

They were very kind over the phone. I like technology and I appreciate how all of their information and forms are online and easy to fill out via E sign.. My daughter had quite the little attitude and they still pushed through and were so nice about it even though I was embarrassed. They seem to really understand children and especially children with special needs. I had one of the best cleanings of my life by our hygienist there and my teeth feel so clean and so healthy. I would highly recommend families to come here since they handle children and adults. It's just something so convenient and their facilities were very nice and clean. read more

I am so happy that my partner found this dental practice for me! I really love the lovely photographs displayed on the exam room ceilings. The sky and mountain views ahead from the dental chair are relaxing too. My exams, cleaning, night guard molding, and fillings were are so gentle. I have a high tolerance for anesthesia, and they actually listened to me well. They made very sure I was numb, and I'm happy to report I felt no pain beyond the shots! Karen was a wonderful hygienist/assistant with a great manner about her. Karen rocks! The office manager was also clear and helpful in explaining costs and what my insurance would pay too. I can't recommend this practice enough! They are located on the second floor of the building, but they have an elevator, so don't worry if stairs are an issue for you. read more

Been coming here a few years now... staff is always very friendly, treat you like a friend. Wait time is usually pretty short. I'm not a very big fan of chatting while ppl are cleaning my teeth, but the hygienist are usually pretty chatty... but doesn't affect their work. Took off a star because wait times to schedule a cleaning is usually about 3 months, yes, 90 days! It's kind of ridiculous but it does tell you how popular they are! They are getting ready to move to a bigger location so hopefully that will improve. They are very good with kids, make them feel comfortable in an awkward setting. Usually reward them with some toys at the end which makes the trip even more exciting! read more

Pretty impressed so far after two appointments with Martin Taylor Dentistry. From the front desk receptionists to the hygienists to the dentists, everyone was extremely helpful and explained all procedures that I was having done before they were performed. I have a pt of Dr. Martin for over 13 yrs. Natalie is my hygienist they are both very nice and respectful as well as the front desk staff. Recently I called and spoke to Denise the office manager over an insurance problem. She belittle me in every way she could. She kept on telling me about her 500 Raytheon employees. Basically telling me that if I left the practice they would miss me because of her 500 Raytheon employees. She was extremely rude. It is sad that in such a nice practice there is people like her. I will miss Dr Martin and Natalie but this woman attitude towards me was very unnecessary and disrespectful. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Taylor ever since my long-time dentist retired. In the 4+ years I have been treated by Dr. Taylor I have had just about every complicated procedure one could have - root canals, crowns, an implant after an old root canal went bad, and on a Saturday afternoon a tooth that needed an emergency root canal. I didn't have to wait until Monday!He has the knowledge and skills for complex cases and as a result you will feel confident that you are in the right place. He is also quite focused on the patient's comfort while the work is being done and because his and Dr Martin's staff members are so excellent you feel amazingly relaxed. The entire staff (front desk, hygienists, dental assistants/technicians are friendly, professional, caring and some of the nicest people I have met in my 40+ years in Tucson.
