I originally went in because, in my country, a dentist placed a filler on a slightly chipped molar that didn't have cavities. Over time, I started feeling pain and sensitivity. Before coming here, I saw another dentist who immediately wanted to do a root canal--but deep down, I knew that wasn't the right solution for me. I've always taken great care of my oral health, so I wanted a second opinion. That's when my partner helped me find Ventana Dental, and I'm so glad we did! Dr. Martin was absolutely wonderful--she took the time to carefully examine my tooth, took X-rays, and really listened to me. Even though English isn't my first language, she was incredibly kind and made sure I felt comfortable and understood. She fixed the filler, and now I feel amazing! What a wonderful dental office with a highly professional attentive staff. Absolutely top-notch! Everyone was so helpful, polite, kind, and hard working. My old front tooth's cap came off and subsequently-in the moment it was quite unknown to me until I heard the 'crunch' -was swallowed leaving a toothpick toothy grin! Dr. Martin's team got a temporary cap made for my front tooth while I sat there! They will get a permanent cap made and then deal with the other toothy issues I have. What a relief, and what a straight-forward high-quality dental office. I'm ecstatic to have found them. Honestly, they exceeded all expectations. A+!! Lastly, but not least, Dr. Martin is a dynamo. My 1st appt at Ventana Dental was great. Dr. Martin took the time to explain things & answer my q's. Another thing that was wonderful about the visit was Lily, the Dental Hygienist, took care in asking me a lot of upfront q's to get a sense of my dental history & any concerns. I'd never had a new dental practice ask so many q's upfront which to me says they really want to know about their patients so they can provide excellent care. It was also clear Dr. Martin had taken thoughtful time to review my file & dental history before she met w me for my exam. With other dentists, I had never gotten the sense they had actually read my chart ahead of time. And last but by no means whatsoever least, Kim the Office Manager was wonderful. New to Tucson shortly before the Pandemic shutdown. One of my needs was for normal dental care. However, as I worked my way through a list of local dentists, I could not find one that was accepting new penitents so I decided to wait for the effects of the Pandemic would subside. It was at this time my brothers suggested I call his new dentist, Ventana Dental. I was able to schedule a routine cleaning that was cover by my insurance. I couldn't have been more impressed by my visit. I've never been in a happier more attentive dental office. The energy is infective and the care impeccable in this modern well-equipped office. Needed to establish a dentist in AZ and they are close by and accept my insurance...and had pretty decent reviews. Originally I could not get in until mid-April but consented to get on their cancellation list and they called me yesterday about a last minute opening. I had no time to get records from my previous dentist in another state, but the staff at Ventana Dental were on it!! By the time I had my exam and teeth cleaning etc they had received my old records. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful and I got useful info about my teeth that my previous dentist office (of over 40 years!!) had never given me! Ventana Dental is by FAR the most friendly, welcoming, professional, state-of-the-art dental care I have ever experienced. My teeth and I are very happy to be receiving such excellent care. Dr. Martin is above and beyond in her professionalism, knowledge, and graciousness. Even though I know she has a busy practice, she and now Dr. McCoy, as well, are not dismissive. The people at Ventana dental are happy and friendly. I can tell that they all get along and enjoy working together. My hygienist retired and I was worried about getting a new one, but Monica was great. She was friendly and gentle and did a great job. We had fun discussing our hobbies. Dr. Martin is great. She explained the options with my chipped teeth and answered my questions like she always does. My career has had us living in five states over the past twenty years and I have had many dentists. I had my first appointment with a relatively new hygienist, Monica. She is wonderful...very thorough with an engaging and friendly personality. She's a keeper. Kim is a perfect fit with Ventana Dental. I've known her for as long as I've been a patient there and she is efficient and friendly. Dr. Martin is a really good dentist. She is also very nice and friendly. She is fairly new and I don't know her very well, but the little interaction I've had with her have been very positive. Joy the hygienist was kind, gentle yet thorough with cleaning my teeth. She gave me some kudos for using an electric toothbrush. Less for her to do, better for me!
