I needed a second opinion on a cracked tooth, I was scheduled within a week and when I walked into the office they not only saw me but fixed the cracked tooth the same day! We ultimately switched practices after my daughter had a dental emergency during a week the office was closed for a staff retreat, leaving us scrambling to find another dentist. In hindsight, that ended up being a blessing. One of my biggest concerns was my oldest daughter's underbite. At multiple appointments, I brought it up and was repeatedly told to wait and see. After switching dentists, she was immediately referred to an orthodontist, where we learned she has complex jaw issues that should have been evaluated much sooner. As a parent, it was frustrating to realize that concerns I'd been raising for years weren't taken more seriously. My younger daughter was never told she had any significant dental concerns while at Rockside. At her first visit with our new dentist, several cavities and other dental work were identified. It's certainly possible some of that developed between visits, but given our overall experience, it left me questioning whether things had been missed. I also had a chipped tooth repaired at Rockside in 2023. When the dentist asked if it felt right after the repair, I told him three separate times that it didn't. Each time, I was reassured that it only felt strange because I wasn't used to it. Within a year, the filling came off while I was simply moving my tongue against it. For comparison, I had another chipped tooth repaired nearly 20 years ago that has never given me a single problem. After all of these experiences, we've lost confidence in the care we received and have found a dentist who has been much more thorough and proactive. I wish we had made the switch sooner.

They handled the confusion in getting my prescription filled in minutes. Extremely kind, courteous, and professional. The Dentists should feel blessed to have them working there. Tried a new place because I was dissapointed in the front office at my old place. I left this place feeling traumatized. I left feeling like my level of comfort was thrown out the window, all the while they were selling me something. Dental work is expensive, even with insurance. Always willing to pay and have paid! As I write this review, weeks later, I still feel emotional. Anger, hurt, and sad should not be words used to describe a customer experience. I had to reschedule my new patient consult once initially as I was told the appointment would be 2 hours and I wanted to make sure I had child care and could get off work. I called today (for a second time) as the appt in November would no longer work for me. It's October 14th. The man seemed irritated and told me they have a policy for rescheduling and was like "well what's the reason"? When I explained I was a single mom and knew for sure I would have help in December when I wanted to reschedule there was no kindness or understanding. I'm not asking for pity, but to have a "policy" about rescheduling a new patient appointment weeks in advance seems unfair. This was by no means last minute or just because. I had valid reasons. It is unfortunate as this is close to my house and seemed to have good reviews through UHC. This person could definitely benefit from additional training.

From the time you first walk in you're greeted by his excellent staff who have always gone out of their way to not only help me but everyone else who comes in. Then I have allays had excellent service from the staff that assist with the treatment and I must apologize for not having their names because they deserve all the praise as well. To help illustrate just how impressive Dr. Sonaco is, he and the Oral Surgeon Dr. Loschiavo realized that I was in need of various help and instead of just keeping me in a state of trying to figure out how to manage such a huge undertaking on my own like is seen far too often in today's worl. DDS Sonaco from Aeris Dental came up with a plan that even took his personal time then got together with Dr. Loschiavo; my Oral Surgeon, and came up with a plan and then they both had myself and my wife actually come in and laid out their plan which was huge in helping us to better understand the situation and to navigate a path forward. I've been on this planet for a long time and I have never ever seen anything like what they did for us. Seriously, who in today's world takes the time out of their own schedules to help someone the way DDS Sonaco and Dr. Loschiavo did for me. up until now I have never even heard of that before. That's a level of professionalism and truly caring for their patients ever seen before. Many businesses talk about it but these two great people and their staffs proved it. To say they deserve a 5 Star Rating doesn't express how deep my gratitude is for the both of them and their office staff. DDS Sonaco and Dr. Loschiavo along with their staffs deserve a much greater rating than 5 stars but that's the highest the ratings go. I absolutely recommend Aeris Dental and DDS Sonac.

By my second visit (which included a deep cleaning), I felt surprisingly calm. The team was incredibly gentle and consistently checked in to make sure I was comfortable, even offering a neck pillow when they noticed I was uncomfortable. Scheduling has been a breeze. At a previous office we tried, we weren't told that getting a cleaning scheduled would be nearly impossible, it turned out they only offered appointments via a last-minute cancellation text list. At AZ Sunset, we were scheduled quickly, our insurance was handled smoothly, and every step of the process has been timely and easy. And here's what really stood out: I removed my own braces with pliers about 15 years ago, and though several dentists since then had mentioned the leftover cement, no one offered to address it. During my deep cleaning at AZ Sunset, the dentist noticed it and simply said, "I can take care of that while I'm cleaning," and did, no extra charge. I could immediately tell the difference, and it felt like such a thoughtful and above-and-beyond gesture. We plan to stay with Arizona Sunset Dental as long as they're around. Highly recommend.
