I then had a dental consult with (I believe) his name is Dr. Jackson. What a great experience! The doctor listened to the explanation for my visit. He then proceeded to let me know that my particular dental situation requires a visit to a different type of dental specialist, and he said that he would be happy to refer me to such a specialist. When I explained I was a single mom and knew for sure I would have help in December when I wanted to reschedule there was no kindness or understanding. I'm not asking for pity, but to have a "policy" about rescheduling a new patient appointment weeks in advance seems unfair. This was by no means last minute or just because. I had valid reasons. It is unfortunate as this is close to my house and seemed to have good reviews through UHC. This person could definitely benefit from additional training.

From the time you first walk in you're greeted by his excellent staff who have always gone out of their way to not only help me but everyone else who comes in. Then I have allays had excellent service from the staff that assist with the treatment and I must apologize for not having their names because they deserve all the praise as well. To help illustrate just how impressive Dr. Sonaco is, he and the Oral Surgeon Dr. Loschiavo realized that I was in need of various help and instead of just keeping me in a state of trying to figure out how to manage such a huge undertaking on my own like is seen far too often in today's worl. DDS Sonaco from Aeris Dental came up with a plan that even took his personal time then got together with Dr. Loschiavo; my Oral Surgeon, and came up with a plan and then they both had myself and my wife actually come in and laid out their plan which was huge in helping us to better understand the situation and to navigate a path forward. I've been on this planet for a long time and I have never ever seen anything like what they did for us. Seriously, who in today's world takes the time out of their own schedules to help someone the way DDS Sonaco and Dr. Loschiavo did for me. up until now I have never even heard of that before. That's a level of professionalism and truly caring for their patients ever seen before. Many businesses talk about it but these two great people and their staffs proved it. To say they deserve a 5 Star Rating doesn't express how deep my gratitude is for the both of them and their office staff. I've always been able to schedule my regular cleanings and if I've had tooth pain issues or anything they're always helpful in making time to find an appointment for me. The team was incredibly gentle and consistently checked in to make sure I was comfortable, even offering a neck pillow when they noticed I was uncomfortable. Scheduling has been a breeze. At a previous office we tried, we weren't told that getting a cleaning scheduled would be nearly impossible, it turned out they only offered appointments via a last-minute cancellation text list. At AZ Sunset, we were scheduled quickly, our insurance was handled smoothly, and every step of the process has been timely and easy. And here's what really stood out: I removed my own braces with pliers about 15 years ago, and though several dentists since then had mentioned the leftover cement, no one offered to address it. During my deep cleaning at AZ Sunset, the dentist noticed it and simply said, "I can take care of that while I'm cleaning," and did, no extra charge. I could immediately tell the difference, and it felt like such a thoughtful and above-and-beyond gesture. We plan to stay with Arizona Sunset Dental as long as they're around. Highly recommend.
