House Wine was such a great experience for us. As we walked in, we were greeted by an acoustic guitarist / singer. There's a front outdoor patio, an inside first room that looks like a comfortable, inviting living room and another back area down a ramp with more additional inviting tables and couches. We ordered from the server at the counter. We started with the cheese board (brie and manchego), salted caramel chocolate, and best of all, we tried the s'mores with marshmallows and hershey's bars which we constructed into sandwiches and heated over a mini table top warmer. From first dates to seasoned couples, the s'mores are guaranteed fun and the way to go. House Wines as you might expect has a great selection of wines including by the glass.

Usually live music after 7pm which is so wonderful! Place is really cute, although the outside could be more comfortable. Parking - small but there's parking behind it! Between dolce neve and house wine, enter there and down by the back trees is parking :) Food - bit pricey but good. I like their charcuterie boards and $1 caramel chocolates. Sundays half off wine glasses! Staff friendliness has gone down :( No music outside after several attempts asking on multiple different occasions. Sit inside otherwise 0 vibe. Inside is nice.

Came here with some friends to celebrate pre-bday. It was very cute, charming, and cozy. Great vibes and setting for catching up with girlfriends, or a comfortable date night, they even have sections large enough to hold a bigger group (6 of us). We ordered a bunch of boards they offered, all were satisfying. Service was friendly, the parking is small. I recommend going here if you want to catch up with friends, very chill vibes.

Absolutely obsessed with this place. If you love natural wine, cozy vibes, and a little magic sprinkled into your night, this wine bar is it. The wine selection is thoughtfully curated--funky, fresh, and approachable--with staff who genuinely know their stuff and are happy to guide you to your perfect pour. The charcuterie and tapas are just as impressive (I love the savory baked brie ). Add in live music that sets the mood without overpowering conversation, tarot card readings that are equal parts fun and insightful, and an insanely cute aesthetic, and you've got a spot that feels special from the moment you walk in. Can't wait to come back.

They say "the House always wins", but not when it comes to House Wine. This place has been on my radar since their previous location and although the building seems nicer, the service & bites were mediocre. The wait staff really brought down the house. Very slow, not friendly and seemed bothered when we tried to place orders even though it was a relatively slow night. The main highlights were the live acoustic music and the chef who checked in more often than the server.

This new location of House Wine is located on South 1st with a dedicated parking lot behind the house, which is quite convenient. The space is aesthetically decorated with comfortable couches and pretty pillows. They also have live music playing from time to time. And the menu is quite elaborate - you can try wines from different corners of the world. The staff are knowledgeable about wines and friendly.

My friends and I had the best time at House Wine! We owe it all to Reia! We had the best service from Reia and THE BEST espresso martinis, it was the Cherry on top of our happy hour! The vibes and ambiance were unmatched and we loved it! The cinnamon on top of the foam was the perfect touch, we will be back soon for sure! Ask for Reia when you visit!!

I loved House Wine. Very cute space, but I'm sure it can get loud if it's busy. I'm not sure if it was the deal of the day or just the regular happy hour deal, but it was half off glasses of open bottles which was kind of fun. I would give it a five if the bartender wasn't wiping their nose while pouring our drinks

Such a cute addition to this area! Recently relocated to S 1st street according to their website - we were fortunate to find this gem. The ambiance is amazing - food and drink options are perfect for an afternoon snack or evening gathering with friends! A must do!!

So I am not a wine guy. I'm not a "I wanna sit and sip with cheese"and that whole thing... But dang, this was pretty cool. The music in the background was very nice, chill relaxed vibe... The service was extraordinary.. Elisa was great.. took very good care of us but had to leave :( but then Gretchen came out ... She's the boss lady. Lol. Too awesome. We know nothing about wines other than Paul telling Timothy to drink wine for his stomach ailments. :) Our cheese plate was very good. The chocolate, gouda, brioche... Bruh, it was delicious, and we had dinner before coming here!!! Thank y'all for a great experience.

I stopped by with friends for a ladies night out (Thursday). This place has a cozy and fun ambiance. Once we were seated, service was subpar. After ordering two bottles and two charcuterie boards, our server was nowhere to be found nor did she check-in to ask if we needed anything else. When it came time to pay our bill, she had a hard time splitting the cost equally using her handheld kiosk. The first transactions were voided and the second transactions were slightly off but we sorted it out afterwards. This place has so much potential - it's important for servers to be attentive. Anyhow, I may give it another try. Overall nice place with cute decor and laidback vibes.

The lot behind the place - it's easy to miss the turn in off S. first, but there is a small lot with about 8-10 spots behind the building

I came to house wine for their soft re-opening since their old location on Josephine st closed after the passing of its prior owner. I saw an article on Eater Austin saying Fri 9/27 they'd have some welcome sparkling wine and snacks so I came with the intent to try some, enjoy the new ambiance and probably get a glass of something! I was greeted by super friendly and attentive staff who did bring me a glass of welcome bubbly when I asked. They mentioned about some snacks (nuts, or a hummus plate) as well which I mistakenly assumed was the "free" snacks; I requested the hummus plate and while I was on the phone I was brought nuts. They were toasted and salted; i went ahead and ate them since they were in front of me and they tasted nice enough but I found out they weren't free, I think were $8ish actually for a small serving dish of them. I really can't fault the restaurant for that, it's my fault for not asking since i didnt really need the calories and would've declined if I'd realized it wasn't part of the welcome festivities, but oh well. Otherwise the ambiance of the new place is similar to the prior spot, it's cute in there. They have a nice patio as well. Clean bathrooms, no issues there. It's also amidst lots of good restaurants on S. First so you could easily get dinner before or after as well nearby.

I absolutely love the new House wine location. It's conveniently located right on South 1st street. There is limited parking behind the restaurant and paid street parking in the neighborhood behind. The front gate, patio and inside are all so pretty. There is so much to look at and a very cozy vibe. Susie helped us and she was very nice to talk to and very knowledgeable. I ordered a Mediterranean plate which all was delicious and of course the wine was enjoyed. I recommend a flight so you can try a few.

If you like cafes in historic bungalows that still have 1930s vintage style architecture intact, try this place.

Very cute little wine bar. Quaint indoors and out. Reasonable prices, good selection of tapas and wines, and a generous happy hour.

Wow! What an incredible experience at Sixty Vines in The Domain!…read more We made our reservation through OpenTable and mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. When we arrived at our table, we were surprised with a handwritten Happy Anniversary postcard and a beautifully presented gift--such a thoughtful touch that immediately made the evening feel special. Our server, Polina, was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to learn what styles of wine we enjoy and brought us a few samples before helping us choose an amazing wine flight. Her recommendations were spot-on! We also enjoyed a custom charcuterie board and the prosciutto & fig pizza, both of which were outstanding. To top it all off, Andrew, the manager, stopped by our table to make sure everything was perfect. We loved learning about Sixty Vines' unique wine-on-tap program and appreciated their commitment to sustainability, including composting food scraps. (They didn't have much to compost from our table--maybe a bite or two of pizza crust! ) The only disappointing part of the evening was that we had tickets to a show and couldn't stay longer to explore more of their incredible wine selection. That's just another reason we'll definitely be back!

Came to Sixty Vines on a weeknight with girlfriends specifically to try the "Girl Dinner" special:…read morechicken Caesar salad, fries and your choice of an espresso martini (frozen or regular) or a three-wine tasting flight. First, the food was excellent. The Caesar was delicious, the fries were great and I was especially impressed with how seriously they handled my celiac/GF needs. Our server was knowledgeable about cross-contamination, and the manager personally brought out my meal and made sure I knew everything had been prepared safely. Always a huge win for me. Now, the wine flight. Dear god. Since it was evening and they couldn't make the espresso martini decaf (which did make me wonder whether they're using fresh espresso...), I went with the three-wine flight. The wines are pre-selected and, unfortunately, they were BAD. I genuinely couldn't drink the first one. The second, a rosé, was at least palatable but nowhere near cold enough. The final wine, a Malbec, was easily the best of the three, but by that point the bar was approximately on the floor. Thankfully, the actual wine list at Sixty Vines is incredible. I abandoned the flight, ordered glasses of wines I actually wanted to drink and all was right with the world again. Overall, the vibes were great, the food was delicious, the staff was fantastic about gluten free / celiac safety and the wines I chose myself were excellent. I'll absolutely be back. Next time, though, I'm skipping the special and ordering everything individually so I'm never again subjected to the mystery trio of wines they've decided constitutes Girl Dinner.

What a wonderful time I had here with the "Frankenstein's mad scientist cocktail lab event"…read moreThe decorations were wonderful, the vibe super welcoming. I had my tarot reading, different drinks from the lab, all dressed appropriately and just fun overall. I love what they did to help you have the great experience we did. So inventive! Very Disappointing Experience…read more I was really looking forward to The Golden Girls pop-up at Wanderlust Wine Company. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing like what I had seen from the pop-ups in other cities. The biggest disappointment was how little there actually was to the experience. The kitchen table wasn't even there. The girls famously gathered around that table eating cheesecake. Blanche's bedroom was completely outside in a completely different building, which made the whole setup feel disconnected. Even the wall phone, which was supposed to have the girls talking did not provide the experience I had seen from Instagram reels from other cities. Then came the cocktails. At $16 each, I expected them to at least be made correctly. My Blanche Devereaux cocktail was made with club soda instead of Sprite. Club soda tastes like Alka-Seltzer. I had to ask for a different drink. The second cocktail, The Dorothy, was made with Prosecco and unfortunately wasn't good either. Even the one lady sitting at this isolated bar with me said her drink was bad too. They double charged me. Which is another major issue. My ticket was $23.34 including taxes and fees and the complimentary drink was supposed to be included, with only a one-cent charge when I arrived. Instead, I was charged an additional $23.08, including $11.54 for the drink that was supposed to be included in the ticket price. Is there an explanation? Will this be corrected? My credit card company has already been notified. But what a hassle I have to go through. Just scan my QR code, and don't charge me .01 cent. I paid my ticket and "free" drink. Also as a solo guest, I was also extremely uncomfortable with where I was seated. I was placed away from everyone else at a very narrow bar along the wall, completely isolated from the rest of the group. Honestly, it felt like being sent to the kids' table at Thanksgiving--off in another room away from the adults. It was humiliating and made an already disappointing experience even worse. The entire experience amounted to roughly 15 minutes of taking a few pictures, drinking a poorly made cocktail, and leaving. For what I paid and what was advertised, I expected something much more immersive and fun. I couldn't wait to leave. Thank God I didn't pay for parking. I'm extremely disappointed. I went in excited to celebrate one of my favorite shows and left feeling like I had wasted my time and money. Based on this experience, I would not return to Wanderlust Wine Company.

Some friends took us here for a birthday celebration, taking a chance because they'd never been…read morethere either. What a find! Rosé Gosé (note accents) is in an unassuming Airport Blvd location (right next to Jewboy Burgers, an Austin favorite). It is run by a couple from Belarus that came here right after Covid to open up a restaurant, with a sister in Minsk. Defying expectations, the menu is not Balkan at all. If anything, there is a strong Asian influence with poke bowls and a lot of seafood. But the menu also offers beef tartare on their raw bar menu, as well as a steak offering and grilled chicken. It's a diverse and adventurous menu, all the way from small plates to hefty mains and vegetable sides. For the dessert, try the pavlova, a meringue confection stuffed with coconut mousse and topped with lime sorbet and a grapefruit slice sidecar. Everything is superbly presented, and unquestionably fresh and healthy without veering into twigs and berries territory. The cocktail menu is also playful, with a lot of nontraditional glassware and slight spins on popular drinks; their version of a Paloma uses prosecco instead of a splash of soda. The servers are all dressed in rosé jumpsuits and very attentive. The space is amiable and elegant without being pretentious. The table spacing is a little close, so that conversations carry between guests. The table setting has some nice touches, like the little wooden bench that holds your fork and knife off the table. In European fashion, water can be asked for but it won't be served with ice. Plan on taking your time and enjoying course after course.

My hubs chose Rosé Gosé for my Mother's Day brunch location. In full transparency, choosing a…read morerestaurant is not his jam. However, today major shout out to the hubs. Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.
