My friends wanted to come here because of the "meat Ferris wheel" he had heard about. But alas, no restaurant gimmick could really be worth all the hassle we had gone through. So we arrived shortly before 7 am and you have to put your name down on a waitlist. This list isn't exactly updated regularly and I know because it was next to me and you see the same names there and don't know if you've "moved up in the line" or not. Upon arrival, we asked how long the wait would be. They said 20 minutes. That 20 minutes turned into 40 minutes. And when we asked at the 40-min mark, how much longer, they said 3 minutes. That 3 minutes turned into 10 minutes. They have a rack full of free snacks like Hello Panda and other treats to keep you occupied while you wait (but also a means to fill you up faster). This place seems like it was poorly understaffed. It was like 3 people running the whole thing (like 1-2 waiters that also functioned at the front desk). There were no cutlery/chopsticks at our table when we were finally seated. By the time we were there, many items on the menu were sold out too. And you have to get up to help yourself to veggies and noodles from the fridge. I kinda question the hygiene of it too since they're just displayed openly and anyone with a cough or sneeze could easily contaminate it all. We had to request for napkins and needed to ask multiple times for or ordered items because they weren't arriving in a timely manner. You order on a tablet and it's all you can eat but any leftovers would be charged $15 waste fee. Supposedly there's a second and third floor of the restaurant available for seating but of course nothing was set up and no man power to handle it. I'd be more generous in my review if this was a brand new place getting its foothold but it seems to have been around for a while and should've had it's stuff together by now. Only one working bathroom in the whole place when we were there. At least the dining space and lobby were clean. Nonetheless, Not worth the hassle. Definitely won't be returning as I'm sure you can find a better place elsewhere.

Everything looks good, but unfortunately inside my hot pot it was 2 roaches very disgusted terrible traumatic experience

Decent AYCE hot pot with a lot of sauce & ingredients variety. It's a self serve sauce station, some ingredients in the fridge, and ordering system on an ipad. Paid about $44pp and left super full! I liked the bean curd roll but they ran out quickly. The meat quality was ok -- could be better but not too bad. They were able to accommodate a huge group which was helpful. Service was quite slow though and they took a long time to refill our order and come around with the check.

It was a cold day and I was craving something soupy so I thought I'd check this spot out. I opted for the premium AYCE which at the time of me doing this review is $39.99 a person. I ordered the beef and lamb combo which presents your meat on this cool looking Ferris wheel contraption. They also have an extensive sauce station and you can grab your veggies and noodles of choice in their refrigerator which is pretty cool. The service here was good and I like how there are a lot of parking garages nearby making this place more accessible. Not normally a hot pot person, but this is a place I'd definitely return to. I definitely recommend checking this spot out if you haven't already. Try it out if you like. :)

Went on for lunch one day and ayce dinner the next. The lunch was so delicious and filling!! I was surprised that the combination of meats and veggies went so well together. I usually eat ayce hot pot. The ayce was really yummy and I like that the beef and lamb wheel didnt cost an additional price! The sichuan spicy broth is my favorite. So delicious!

    Oh the choices!

We stopped in at lunch time and were immediately sat. This is very industrial looking and some big tables for parties of six along with four tops. Service was quick but not very attentive. This is a combination order at the table but go and obtain the ingredients from the buffet like bar. The ingredients were plentiful and tasty. AYCE for sure and we were all pleased with the selections. We went for the basic and were happy to not added on extra drinks and things. We focused on the meats and vegetables. Next time we will skip the rice noodles though. I would suggest this place as the hot pot was great! My favorite broth was the Tom yum one though. It had so much flavor.

Walking by a number of times, I passed on trying it as the lunch menu choices were limited. Recently, I noticed signs taped to the windows offering wallet friendly lunch (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=03zug2FTxq78jMe4zw4_wg). On a recent Wednesday late morning, I walked in and there was no one at the immediate greeting area. Looking to my left, there was a lady prepping some things. I caught her attention and she offered me one of two tables just to the right of the greeting area. I chose the one further back and she quickly handed me the one sheet menu (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=smFuho-kHiM92Aqn8fjmUg). I asked for her recommendation on two different menu items and she guided me to the non-spicy one which I tried. I started with the grape smoothie (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=5jWyvk76yO-oa5-sKA_EeQ), which was more of a non-carbonated grape soda with a creamy top layer. It was okay as nothing about it particularly shined. For my meal, I had the tomato beef pot (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=nWywvg5R0UUtlRbSH7DLYg) with noodles; ingredients listed were beef, beef meatballs, quail eggs, luncheon meat, enoki mushroom, konjac knot, white radish, wood ear mushroom, Napa cabbage, tofu pocket, soybean roll, and fish tofu; my pot arrived warm and there was a little steam (smoke) that came from the soup but it never came to a boil. Thinking this was intentional for safety reasons, I didn't think much of this. The ingredient variety that I mentioned made this interesting as I constantly covered my noodle bowl with alternating ingredients from the soup pot. I was impressed to see a good amount of goji berries, a red date, and dried longan, all herbs that have medicinal value. I liked the mix with the variety of mushrooms and various form of tofu or soy products being my favorites. Unfortunately, the beef cooked relatively quickly in my warm broth so it was on the well-done side. There aren't very many greens so you might supplement your meal with side of veggies. Here is a photo of the burner after finished my meal (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=Wfq-H_6I8slt7ypHbPMb4Q) after removing my empty pot. The portions are such that I had around six to seven bowls of food and made for a filling meal. As I was finishing, a young couple took the adjacent table right by the entrance. As I was paying my bill, their food came and I noticed that their pots were both bubbling and hot. This made me question my meal and gave me pause; being that I finished and paid for my meal, I made a point to calmly tell the lady about my experience and how my pot never reached a boil. She didn't comment or apologize, probably shocked to silence by my words. I asked her to tell the kitchen about this and left. Hopefully, she and the business will take this to heart.

Came here at 10:30PM for the late night special of all you can eat! The interior of the place is very casual and I believe it has 3 floors, I was sitting on the first. The waiters were very kind and helpful when choosing the broth and other items. My partner and I chose tomato soup and Tom yum and both flavors were good! Not too overwhelming. The vegetables and noodles are in a fridge on the side but they do not restock too often so we had to ask for the items we wanted. The meat was good quality and not frozen like some other places. Would come back sometime in the future!

Love the variety you get for $38.99/person AYCE (pre-tax)!! They have a huge assortment of meats, seafood, veggies, and other hot pot staples. For $38.99/person, you can order 1 ferris wheel and 1 beef plate (comes in the gold bull) for the table - would highly recommend starting with that and some other toppings, and then adding more after that. Super easy to place orders with the iPad they provide :) We did individual pots, but they also have shared pot options. I opted for the spicy soup in medium, but I think I could've increased the spice level! The rest of my table preferred my spicy broth to their chicken broth as well. They also have a phenomenal sauce bar included in the price, with some nice side dishes as well while you wait for your soup base to arrive. Will definitely be back here and will make a reservation first! They fill up quickly.

Came here with a group of 9 and we got seated at two different tables. Each table had one giant pot to split. Good: - You can choose 2 soups that you want - I loved the tomato soup base since it was nice and savory but not too salty - I liked how much variety there was in the AYCE options - the Ferris wheel of course is the most famous thing here - The appetizers were pretty great - there were glass noodles and tons of sauces - The mango coconut dessert was delicious! - Nice and private back area for groups Bad: - Overall more expensive, about $45pp after taxes Overall a really fun group activity!

The food was great! The broth was perfect, not over flavored with salt. I enjoyed the quality of the meat. Very satisfied with this hot pot! Although they took awhile with our drink, They were quick with meats, so service was good. It's clean and I would come again.

don't even know where to start. This place completely blew me away…read more First, the service. Irene made this entire experience unforgettable. She was so warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. It honestly felt like we were ordering with a friend who just happens to know the entire menu inside and out. She gave amazing recommendations and even told us she makes the hot sauce from scratch (which... you can taste the difference). That level of care really set the tone for the whole night. Now the food... not a single miss. Seriously, not one thing we didn't like. We went with the Ultra menu ($108), which includes lobster, and it was 100% worth it. For broths, we chose the Tom Yum and Tonkotsu. Both were rich, flavorful, and perfect in completely different ways. The meat selection was incredible, especially the wagyu options, they literally melt in your mouth. You can tell the quality is top tier. The flame-torched wagyu nigiri was absolutely out of this world--perfectly balanced and paired with a wasabi powder that elevated every bite. We also had the hamachi cloud, which was so fresh, flavorful, and had the perfect crunch--such a standout dish. And the spicy clams? Easily one of our favorites. Super fresh, super tasty, and packed with flavor. Beyond the food, the entire staff made us feel genuinely welcomed, which made the experience even better. The location is perfect. It's right in the center of Japantown. Inside they have a bar where you can sit and talk with the servers face-to-face. And it's a great spot to people watch while you eat. I truly cannot recommend this place enough. Between the incredible quality, the variety, and the next-level service. This is a spot I'll be coming back to again and again (and yes, I'll absolutely be asking for Irene).

It was an easy, comfortable way to enjoy shabu shabu without overthinking it. I didn't go in with high expectations for the fatty beef, and the meat quality itself was just okay, but it actually worked well with their sauces. Everything came together nicely, and it made me curious to come back and try their more premium cuts. I'm sure those would be a noticeable step up. Service was kind and attentive. We left feeling satisfied and relaxed, and overall it was a solid lunch experience, especially for a casual stop in Japantown.

(Definitely get on the waitlist early because it'll be a good 1-2 hour wait anyway, and they will shut down the waitlist should you attempt to do a walk in.) The estimated wait time was definitely off, as it took about 30 minutes more. After a good long wait, our table of five were seated at the table at the very front by the window. We were never given menus, but did spend our two hour wait perusing the menu already so we had an idea of what we planned on ordering. We had to get up and get our own physical menu. It did take awhile for someone to come and take our order, and eventually the hostess did. They automatically serve water, but do have hot boricha upon request. They only served three different banchans - but I loved the kelp noodles one as it's rare I see it offered. Our dishes: * A2. Kalbi Japchae $14 - The Japchae isn't something I would typically order as a dish, but I did like their version. It was freshly cooked, so it was hot and very tasty. Usually I have it served as a banchan and it's room temp. I also like the noodles they used as it's different than other typical japchaes. * A3. Kalbi Tteokbokki $14 - This Tteokbokki was pretty good too, and the Kalbi was tender and enjoyable. I liked that this dish wasn't spicy as most tteokbokki dishes seem to be. I could easily order this dish on its own and be satisfied with that. * B2. Back Rib Jiim (Braised Back Rib, Special Center Cut) $75 + Mozzarella Cheese $6 * B1. Daeho Kalbijjim (Braised Short Rib) $86 + Mozzarella Cheese $6 As with the kalbijjim, the whole spectacle is having the servers torch the cheese table side. They come armed with two torches, so it makes quite a show. After our server was done doing the first dish, he walked away and we were left wondering which dish it was as we ordered two similar dishes. Each order comes with 2 rice bowls - white or purple. I wasn't a fan of them bringing out the rice bowls early with no covers as the rice got cold. I'm used to Korean restaurants having rice covers and was surprised theirs did not. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of meat in both dishes, and definitely had leftovers. Our mistake was ordering two dishes that were along the same flavor profile, so we got bored eating the same thing. We should have ordered only one kalbijjim and maybe a suyuk or jeongol. The major issue was we had was the service. We were largely overlooked as those waiting for tables were blocking our section. The staff rarely came by to check on us and we were constantly trying to grab someone's attention without having to get up and chase them down. We also realized we never got serving utensils for our kalbijjim, which would have been helpful. It was a pain trying to get refills on our tea, water, banchan, etc. There is also an automatic 18% service charge, in addition to the 5% mandatory SF ordinance charge. I wouldn't mind the automatic service charge if we got decent service. Constantly trying to get someone attention by waving our hands, napkins, etc. is tiresome and really put a damper on the whole experience.

This place covers many of the basics (rolls, ramen, tempura, yakisoba, teriyaki, unagi). I really only see it as a jack of all trades, but a master of none. It doesn't mean that this restaurant has no place in Japantown, but it doesn't inspire confidence when it's located in an isolated region of the mall with less foot traffic, while its competition on the other wing has lines longer than the location's capacity. Black Garlic Ramen: It's always a mystery to me how black garlic improves a bowl of ramen. My expectations, however, remain the same. How thick is the broth? How clean is the broth when consumed? What is the quality of the chashu? Do I get enough noodles? I think the best part of this meal was the amount of soup they give, and the chashu was very good. It sucks that the chashu is tiny, but they did very well. I feel that the noodles were those wholesale ramen noodles that were portioned, and the garnish was fine. The broth was okay, 3.5-ish stars in terms of taste. Dynamite Roll and Volcano Roll: I think it's a problem if I have trouble identifying which is which. I can tell you that both are good enough to try, and the Volcano Roll comes with raw fish. Both come with a good crunch and a good sauce, but like most Japanese places that lean heavily into the rolls, good luck finding out what you ordered and what you just ate. Ambiance: Very classic Japanese. They're really at their best to convince you that you're in Japan. It may get tight during a busy day though. Service: Standard. The chicken was very crispy, the beefy teriyaki had a nice smoky flavor to it, the soup was nice and warm, the rice paired well and the salad was fresh and tasty. My sister ordered the Crispy Chicken Chili Creamy Ramen. I had some of her ramen and it was delicious as well! The overall, restaurant itself is a bit small but the food makes up for it. I would definitely return!

Meat selection is perfect! They do have an unnecessary overage charge of $20 if you order more than you can eat, so order by pacing yourself. You can order as many times as you would like. There is an item limit per order but even amongst four people, it was more than enough to get started. If you going with a group, please note that the plate portions are scaled to your table. For example, one person ordered two kinds of pork belly, but the plate provided was more pork belly than this person could eat in one sitting. The rest of the table had to help. There are some items that are only one order per table - like the cooked spareribs (only three pieces too). So look for that notation on the specialty dishes area. Service was attentive at the beginning and got more sparse as the restaurant got busier. Busy times seem to be at around 7-8 pm, which is normal. Take advantage of their sauce bar and dessert bar (featured fresh fruit - watermelon, oranges). Of course, they had kim chi available as well. The ambiance was good. House music was playing so it felt like you were a club. Flat screen TV's along the top walls and open spaces between tables gave an airy open touch. Parking may be difficult given the residential area you are in so allot time to find a spot. Otherwise, the N Judah or 17 is a block away. All in all, I'd recommend! Next time, I wanna try the shared grill as we went in for hot pot only. We had the option of the grill but the team decided against it and stuck to hot pot.

Upon arrival, we were seated at a dirty table (old grill from last guest still there) and no silverware. We were told to scan the code and order, but hesitated because the grill was used and table still had spills and food from the last guest. Service was incredibly poor. Food was decent. Again, this place is cheaper than most AYCE hot pots. Lots of options for veggies and non-meat items which was nice. Overall, go if you're on a budget. Splurge more somewhere else if you can.

Asians keep receipts but in a wholesome way We don't split love, we rotate blessings. For $49.99/person, this AYCE Korean BBQ was straight violating my self-control. The short ribs?? HELLA BUSSIN. Like actually criminal. Every bite had me ascending like a TikTok food review in 4K. Meat so juicy I almost stood up and thanked the cow personally. The grill smoke got us smelling like seasoned warriors walking outta there but honestly worth it. Staff kept the meats coming faster than my auntie asking why I'm still single. And let me put y'all onto some elite Chinese vocabulary real quick: "好吃到舔手指" (hǎo chī dào tiǎn shǒu zhǐ) = "so good you lick your fingers." That's EXACTLY the vibe. Finger-licking good fr fr. YakiniQ got me fighting for my life, unbuttoning my pants in the parking lot, and already planning my return. 10/10. No crumbs left. Their "Red Hot" peanut sauce is the carry here - no doubt. Highly recommend with my utmost respectful regards!

Horrible meat quality and even worse service quality…read more Imagine being first in line with a party of 2 and then watching a party of 3 and another party of 2 getting sat before you. Well we didn't need to imagine because we watched it happen in front of our faces. The party of 3 actually got their food and the other party of 2 got their side dishes before we even got our water. You literally have a Yelp waitlist to help you stay organized and all you have to do is follow it. Somehow they still managed to fuck that up. We got the premium AYCE--expecting some higher quality meat. We were deeply disappointed. The SF Cut Short rib was the saddest short rib I have ever seen. There was little to no meat on the bone. The ribeye was extremely thin. Not even a full minute of cooking on both sides and it was well done. At this point I turned the heat down to the lowest setting. The short rib bites were filled with tendons and ridiculously hard to cut much less chew. The boneless short rib and the ribeye caps were skinnier than a coke addict. 10 seconds on each side and they were basically well done. That was the end of round 1--I thought I was being hangry and grumpy so I tried to let them get their redemption. Hahaha or so I thought. We got the miso pork belly which somehow managed to burn itself on the side of the grill while the center part was still raw. I put two pieces on the grill. Clearly the meat cutter didn't know what they were doing because while one looked like it had cancer causing blackness on it the other one was still more raw than a dog. I guess they just can't cut the meat uniformly even. The beef tongue was also extremely thin and burned immediately when put on the grill. It's Korean BBQ--your restaurant and chefs don't even cook the meat. How can you not know how to cut meat properly? Not to mention paying extra for "premium" meat only to have the exact same quality as the rest of your meat. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants their Korean BBQ experience ruined. Honestly come here for your first or second time at Korean BBQ and then go somewhere else and you will be GLAD that the other place exists. YaqiniQ BBQ is by far the worst KBBQ I have been to.

Date of Visit: 5/16/2025…read more We visited the DNN Hot Pot last Friday with friends to enjoy the Mongolian style hot pot and grill. DNM Hot Pot is currently located on Clement Street between Funston Ave and 12th Ave, and soon they will be moving to Clement St and 25th Ave, according to the business owner. The new location will feature a second-floor dining area, which will be even better for party or group dining. Unlimited Dipping Sauce $2.7 There is an unlimited dipping sauce cart for us to prepare our own sauce for the hot pot. My favorite mix is the satay sauce with soy sauce, and topped with garlic and onion. House Special Tomato Broth (Half) $6.92 As a party of 4, we picked 2 different broths as the half portion. The tomato broth was very fresh with the sweetness of the tomato. Inner Mongolian Lamb Back Bone Pot (Half) $38 And we highly recommend the Inner Mongolian Lamb Back Bone Pot! The pot was filled with lamb back bone with meat, which was a big portion for us already. The pot made all the meat and vegetables extra tasty. Definitely a must-try! BBQ Small Lamb Leg $20.79 We got the BBQ lamb leg to pair with the hot pot. Lamb Shoulder (8oz) $11.87 We ordered the lamb shoulder, which went very well in both broths. American Kobe Beef (8oz) $19.79 Kobe beef was soft and chewy too. Beef Tripe $6.92 Love the beef tripe. Duck Blood $10.88 Duck blood at DNM Hot Pot was good. Soft and tasty. Frozen Tofu $5.93 My husband loves frozen tofu in the hot pot. Tong Hao $5.93 Napa Cabbage $5.93 Both vegetables were fresh and tasty.

Given the inflated prices, I would say that the prices are somewhat higher than several Chinese restaurants. Cumin lamb, which is my usual favorite was $23, which is usually closer to or less than $20 at other places. Also did not try their hot pot which is their specialty so need to factor that in as well.
