Turns out there was a construction accident nearby that had something to do with the unfortunate confluence of a piece of heavy equipment, a utility pole, and a transformer. So the phones, computer system and electricity was gonzo. But the staff was so incredibly nice and kind to us, we declined to move our reservation to another Residence Inn and checked in a few hours later after lunch and some sightseeing. Our suite was great with excellent flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, bed, bathroom and a great shower. We loved the free water and soft drinks available all day, as well as their included breakfast and even a beer/wine/snacks Happy Hour. We could not have been happier with our time at the Residence Inn Waco.

Given that the hotel is situated on the surface of the Sun - sorry Waco, you've got a crazy hot city - well functioning AC is not a premium, but a must. The AC Hotel delivers. I guess you can say, the hotel lives up to its name. Oh geesh, sorry - that's a really bad pun. Look the take home from my review, this is a really nice place to stay while in town. The friendliness of the staff makes it an obvious first stop location.
