The outside looks like, not exaggerated, a hotel ready for demolition. There are beautiful views on two sides of this hotel. Some terrific staff members (Cheyenne at reception, a gentleman immediately came to fix the phone in our room, and Catherine Wiley...and only her...in the restaurant actually cares about the customers), please close more bottom floors and focus on top, for pity's sake get the outside cleaned up, fix the very low quality/high price in your restaurant...Hilton can turn this around. Had tea, coffee in the room and bottles of water if you wanted to pay $2 to drink them, fridge, iron, hairdryer. Checked in was smooth but clerk could have been a bit more talkative/informative. Large conference room on the first level, pool and outdoor seating was nice but it was December so I didn't utilize those. Easy walk to multiple restaurants, bars & shopping at Spice Market across the street and only about a 15 min walk to downtown Waco. Bar & restaurant in lobby, cleaning staff was very accommodating and friendly. Over all good average hotel experience but there are more modern hotels close by.

Upon arriving I was given an upgraded room featuring a living area , kitchen, large bathroom and separate bathroom! The room was clean, modern and comfortable. I arrived later in the evening after a long work day and no food so was happy to see that they have a restaurant and I was able to order some food to go - they called my room when it was ready and service was fast and friendly. The bed was comfortable and took is nice and dark! It's a little loud as it sits on a road but other than that, this was a great choice!!

As soon as I stepped in, I noticed how clean and modern the space felt. The design has a bright, minimalist aesthetic that gives off a very calm and refreshing vibe. After doing a bit of research, I found that Element markets itself as an extended stay hotel designed for the active traveler -- and that definitely came through in the details. Each room had a reusable water bottle, and all the water throughout the hotel is filtered, which I really appreciated. There was a mini fridge in the room, lots of built-in USB charging ports, and everything was set up to be functional, but sleek. The fitness room was a standout -- large, well air-conditioned, stocked with plenty of towels, and had all the essentials for a solid workout. I found out that they use the same beds as Westin Hotels, and it showed. Super comfortable mattress, plush pillows -- I slept really well. But honestly, what impressed me the most was the breakfast. It was complimentary, but far from your typical "budget hotel" buffet. Here's what stood out: * A yogurt bar with Chobani, fresh fruit, and nut toppings. * A variety of bagels, muffins, breads, and cereals. * Made-to-order hot breakfast options including a quinoa bowl, French toast, and an egg frittata with optional sausage. I went with the French toast -- a slice of toast cut in half, buttered, lightly sugared, and topped with powdered sugar and fresh berries (blueberries and strawberries). They even had a Nutella squeeze bottle, which was a fun and tasty touch. They also had a full-fledged cappuccino machine! It was such a pleasant surprise to be able to make a proper cappuccino in the morning. Overall, I had a great experience at Element Waco. With only a little over 100 Element Hotels across North America, it feels like a bit of a hidden gem. If I'm staying at a Marriott-brand hotel in the future, I'll definitely check to see if there's an Element in that city.

The location is fantastic--only about a 10-minute walk to Baylor University, which made getting around the area so easy. Whether you're visiting the campus, passing through town, or staying a few days, it's the perfect spot. My room truly felt like a home away from home. The full kitchen setup was impressive--stove, full-size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, dish soap and sponges, plus a coffee setup ready to go. There was also a dining table, work desk, living room area, and a separate bedroom, which made the space feel more like a comfortable apartment than a typical hotel room. It's perfect for travelers who want space to relax or stay longer. A special shoutout to Ricardo at the front desk--he checked me in and was absolutely amazing. He was so friendly, relatable, and welcoming, instantly making me feel comfortable after a long day of travel. Great hospitality like that really stands out. Overall, this was a fantastic stay in a charming small-town setting, I would absolutely stay here again. If you're visiting Waco and want comfort, convenience, and excellent service, I highly recommend it!

Turns out there was a construction accident nearby that had something to do with the unfortunate confluence of a piece of heavy equipment, a utility pole, and a transformer. So the phones, computer system and electricity was gonzo. But the staff was so incredibly nice and kind to us, we declined to move our reservation to another Residence Inn and checked in a few hours later after lunch and some sightseeing. Our suite was great with excellent flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, bed, bathroom and a great shower. We loved the free water and soft drinks available all day, as well as their included breakfast and even a beer/wine/snacks Happy Hour. We could not have been happier with our time at the Residence Inn Waco.

Check in was easy and all of the employees that I encountered were great. The hotel feels very new and is clean and modern. Navigating parking was a little inconvenient as the garage is not attached to the hotel. It was a little annoying to have to lug our stuff outside around the pool to get back and forth. The rooms were nicely appointed with plenty of outlets and lighting. The bed was a little too firm for my liking. My biggest issue with this hotel was the bathroom door. There is no real door, just a sliding glass partition that gaps. This means that you have essentially no privacy in the bathroom. I was travelling with a friend and this was a huge issue. The hotel was also hosting lots members of a sorority conference during our visit. The rooms are not well insulated, as I could hear my neighbors on all sides yelling late into the night. My stay here did not feature any restful sleep! Overall, this is a convenient location for Magnolia lovers, but if I would not stay here for more than a night.
