Im so disappointed. I stayed here for one night. They held my card for incidentals and assured me my $50 deposit would be replaced. I left tje room in mint condition. They kept incidental money off my card. I tried to speak to management and was transferred by cyborgs until they hung up on me.( I feel I was lied to and scammed. Not happy. No customer service. After 8-10 stays I gave this place a 5 star review 2 years ago. After 8-10 more stays, it's now a 1 star review. This place survives on Baylor parents. This place really tried to screw us over on graduation weekend. The disconnect between them and travel agencies is unreal and their billing practices are unethical. You can't say one thing then do something else (and deflect blame). Ultimately they resolved the issue (after MANY calls and weeks). While these have always been personal trips, I've switched all my corporate travel away from IHG. I'm still so appalled at their handling (specifically their attempts to justify) an issue between them and a travel agency. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice hotel but the AC and Element are also nice, without this unethical billing issues. read more

We were in Waco for a birthday party and saw that Hotel Indigo had an extremely reasonable Friday evening rate. The safe was super since and helpful across the board. The lobby is large and modern, with the bistro bar in the front. There was a nice level of energy at the bar, with people socializing and 80s hair metal music playing in the background. We had a couple of drinks and a flatbread. The drinks were too shelf with Drippings Springs Vodka and carefully crafted. The rooms are large and designed with a flare that makes sense. Unlike A W hotel, where they sacrifice flow with being clever, the Indigo rooms have a nice feel elevated above the standard room in this price range. The clean, comfortable king bed and extra-large shower made for an upscale stay at an excellent price. We'll stay there again! read more

Very nice hotel located in downtown Waco. Close to the Brazos river walk and a couple blocks away from the Magnolia Silos. All (plus restaurants and a local craft mall) are very walkable from the hotel. Our room was clean with updated decor. The bed was comfy. There is a full restaurant on site plus a bar. We ate breakfast there and the food was very good. It was plated beautifully. The bar carries an impressive line up of bourbons for a hotel bar. The staff were very nice. read more

Beautiful hotel and a wonderful stay. This was a super quiet hotel. Heard nothing between rooms, or in the hallway or anywhere. There was even a college volleyball team staying here last night and it was pin drop quiet! The only area that seemed loud in the hotel was the bar and restaurant area. When we were heading to dinner last night we noticed as we got off the elevator that it was very loud and there must be a lot of people in the bar area but there really weren't. There were maybe a dozen people which meant that the high ceilings carried the noise far and wide in the lobby area. The lobby area itself is also beautiful with gorgeous chandeliers and a wall of balloons that made for a very nice backdrop for pictures. The hotel room itself is gorgeous and huge and spacious. Though being a platinum elite probably gives me more benefit and they probably upgraded my room from what I originally selected to when we checked in. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. It was like sleeping at home and I had a wonderful night's sleep and it was much needed. The TV in the room has lots of channels, more than you could ever need, although the remote control didn't allow you to select the channels you were looking for, you just had to scroll through each and every channel. All in all it was a very nice day. I expected that breakfast would be included but apparently not. It must be a hotel indigo thing because that has occurred elsewhere. We opted to dine in one of the local highly rated restaurants for brunch instead of spending money breakfast here. The pool and the fitness area looked nice. We did not use either one. And there was also an outdoor area right off the lobby that the door seems locked all the time. Whether it was daytime or night time. That was a little odd to us as it was beautiful weather last night and we would have loved to sat outdoors for a little while. If you're coming to Waco and you're looking for a nice hotel with reasonable prices, highly recommend you look at this hotel. You won't go wrong. read more

We stayed one night for leisure activities. Great location for all our itinerary. The bed/mattress is amazing. I tried to call and buy one and found that was not possible ha! Hotel Indigo as some reviewers may know is considered more boutique in the IHG family. This one was super clean, well maintained, had one of the highest rated restaurants attached. Has a full service bar (compared to Aloft which is partially stocked and not fully staffed). My room was lovely, quiet, and what I expected for the higher price point. And that bed! The downsides: the building is very poorly constructed and not energy efficient. As a result on even this mild spring evening and night it means the AC has to run constantly. As soon as it kicks off you can feel the heat creep in. The direct evidence- when seated at the window you can see the air movement and feel it blowing in when a storm occurred. This is irresponsible on behalf of the hotel management. Finally, in terms of staff, during my visit they were not super friendly nor helpful. However when I called for certain inquiries before and after my stay, I received prompt and courteous assistance. read more

Fantastic hotel with a bar and restaurant. The price point was good for the quality that you get. We ate twice at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and the food was delicious. We will definitely be coming back and booking at this hotel again when we are in Waco. read more

On the whole, I have to say I was a bit disappointed with this location. I generally like the Hotel Indigo chain, as they are unique and stylish with a modern feel. In many ways, the Waco hotel was: the rooms were nice and spacious, and the general spaces were well designed and pleasant. I wouldn't say it was an overly unique spot, but it was solid enough. What was the issue then? The basics. The wifi rarely worked and never stayed connected consistently. The restaurant, even if it is (apparently) really delicious, was heavily overpriced and actually convinced me to not try it since breakfast didn't come with my stay. Anytime I tried to get coffee in the lobby, it was out. And the service was a bit inconsistent as well. If they got those basics together, the uniqueness of the Hotel Indigo brand would be better experienced... read more

Had a great breakfast here with my wife. Eggs were perfectly cooked, and the bacon, sausage, and potatoes were extremely tasty. Our server, Kate, was wonderful, a definite add to an already great breakfast experience. Really enjoyed the feel of this restaurant, located in the lobby of the hotel. I chose to stay at this hotel because it was pet friendly. I stayed in the 2 queen standard room and I was pleasantly surprised at how large the room was; definitely very spacious compared to other 2 queen bed rooms I have stayed in at other hotel chains. There was nothing exceptional about the place. One of the beds was uncomfortable (had a dip and creaked when moving) while the other bed was fine. I found the pillows to be too fluffy and honestly I didn't sleep very well here. I didn't feel comfortable walking barefoot so I wore socks around the room. There were no towels stocked at the pool area; myself and another guest had to request they bring more. The pool towels were smaller than their shower towels. The jacuzzi was nice and hot. Found the price to be $100 cheaper on their website a few days later, but unfortunately that was outside of their Best Price Guarantee window (which is 24 hrs when I dug into the fine print) so I would recommend booking with a 3rd party site that honors lower prices found at a later date. 2nd time staying here. Gorgeous lobby and super friendly check-in. Plenty of restaurants around, and the Silos are a short, cute walk. Pignettis just opened across the street...make a reservation to secure your dining experience-they have brunch now too! Our view from the 4th floor king room was beautiful. Nice wood grain flooring, very spacious and clean...-the shower head needed some CLR and grout looked icky. We will definitely stay there again, the location is perfect. read more

Hotel Indigo is located Downtown Waco. It looks very modern and the staff is very friendly. The Brazos restaurant is located in the Hotel and offers a nice variety of dishes. They also have a large selection of eine and liquor. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. The only thing I don't like is parking. When you get there late you have to park far away from the hotel. It is a pain to haul your suitcase across the parking lot. Yes I know you can drop them off at the entrance but both times I have stayed there they had a bus and cars parked at the entrance. The parking lot is located next to a kitchen that feeds the homeless, which sleep on the sidewalk adjacent to the kitchen. read more

Great stay! We stopped in here from LA before heading to our magnolia house stay in mcgreggor TX. Really nice welcoming staff, beautiful decor, modern and clean. We didn't stay long but had a great sleep in a perfect room and really enjoyed the atmosphere, we were even accommodated for late checkout since we were running low on energy from traveling. It's very close to Baylor and there's lots to eat and do if there early enough. Great spot for pictures and they were pet friendly well definitely bring bringing our little dog next time! read more

Fun stay!! Kind of some sketchy parts around hotel we went waking to Bobs burgers!! Go try them by the way!! But the hotel overall was a good time!! They had a really nice restaurant/bar area that was packed. Lots of Instagram worthy photos. The pool/hot tub is why we picked it and pool was fun but really cold!! We had a good time and was decent for price. I will say the lighting in rooms was interesting their were all lamps and so it kind of seemed dim at night but oh well. Amazing mattress! It's like sleeping on a cloud! The entire hotel was super clean and had huge rooms. The shower was tile and incredibly nice. They had blackout curtains that were great and great air conditioning. Very convenient, everything was walking distance. It felt safe as well. Check-in and check out were fast and easy! The staff was super helpful and attentive and we loved being able to walk to everything we needed and a dip in the pool on the warm days. went here for my trip in waco, i thought the experience was just ok, first off when checking in during the baylor game was starting they blocked off the entrances. they tryed to help buthey couldn't . kudos to them. the room was nice but the ac was hot so i could not sleep:)) the room was nice we stayed on room 329. the elevator was making really weird noises, needs maintenance. the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, staff was very nice, and i do not like the area of waco this is in. pretty sketchy, i would maybe recommend this hotel. read more

I stayed here for 4 nights for a conference. It's a lovely new property in Waco and is stylishly designed. I really liked the hardwood floor in the rooms and the really big shower. I spent a lot of time working from the desk and didn't always love that the AC was blowing directly on me as I was working. The bed was comfortable but I chuckled that the bed had such a heavy comforter and I can't imagine it's often needed in central Texas. I'm sure it's a brand standard, so I understand. The staff was consistently helpful with me and the other conference goers. The location was great - near the Silos and close enough to the Brazos for a run in the morning. read more

Mattresses were very comfortable. Room and bathroom were very ample. Floors were not carpeted, which was preferable to me. You will not be disappointed if you book and stay here. This is the best hotel in Waco! The rooms are well appointed with modern and stylish decor. Service is excellent from the front desk, house cleaning and wait staff! This hotel is pet friendly! The Silos, Dr. Pepper Museum and Spice Village are walking distance from the hotel or you can take the trolley that passes by the hotel every 15 minutes. There are many restaurants & food trucks close by too. But the hotel's restaurant is surprisingly very good too. There is a pool and jacuzzi which is covered, but you can still get your tan. Why not 5 stars? Minor details that added up. 1. The parking lot is not big enough when the hotel is booked. You will find cars double parking. 2. The leather ottoman in my room should've been replaced. It is worn out where the leather is coming off. 3. The A/C had a mind of its own at night. It kept the room chilled at the desired temp during the day, but at night it would just keep the room luke warm. 4. The linen on the bed is not my taste, my wife & I sleep on 400 ct thread linen at home. You can feel the difference. Would I stay here again? Of course, I would! read more

We visited for the Thanksgiving buffet luncheon. Planning our small family holiday meal around the visit we were excited at what we expected would be a delicious, relaxed, fun afternoon. After arriving and being seated we were invited to serve ourselves at the buffet..upon arrival in the room where the food was set up we encountered: * No plates * Chaffing dish of cold sliced Turkey breast, not fresh Turkey. * Empty chaffing station #1 no pork loin * Empty chaffing dish #2 no stuffing/dressing * Empty chaffing dish #3 no brussel sprouts * Empty chaffing dish #3 no carrots * Empty chaffing dish #4 no Mac & Cheese * Empty chaffing dish #5 no green beans To be fair, Turkey breast, mashed potatoes, ham, gravy and cranberry sauce were available. We had no real problem initially, it is Thanksgiving and they may have been busy prior to our arrival but after speaking to several different staff and clean plates being brought out...there was still no new food 25 minutes later (with the exception of the roast pork, that was replenished) despite numerous guests standing patiently waiting for food. Some guests opted to plate what was there and forgo everything that was not. We observed one couple load their plates with cheese and grapes from the thoroughly picked over appetizer section while others took what was left of the 3 pies that comprised the desert options. The staff were very professional and the lobby dining area was nice...but they were clearly completely unprepared for the food requirements of the day. This was unacceptable because it was a reservations required meal...they knew exactly how many people would be served. I will not go so far as to say our holiday meal was ruined but it was a terrible disappointment and we did drive to a different nearby hotel and paid for another meal after paying for the "meal that wasn't" at Indigo. A far more appropriate response by the house would have been to comp the meals of those people who didn't have an actual meal or at least offer a complimentary return visit at a future date. Instead, we paid for 2 meals and spent double the amount of time out to eat than we had planned. Very disappointing We will not return to this property ‍ read more

I highly recommend this hotel, with exception noted below. The staff is warm, friendly and helpful. The rooms are stunning, belying the somewhat industrial facade of the hotel. The location is very convenient. The restaurant served a fine breakfast. Dinner was adequate but not extraordinary. Here's my minor beef: Terrible coffee. No alternative milk choices. No prepared coffee drinks (lattes etc.). You would think a hotel close to Baylor would have gourmet coffee, with many options, other than plain drip coffee. Very disappointing. read more

Sometimes you read through the reviews of a place and have to go back and triple check that you're reading the reviews for the place you meant to, because it's as though whoever wrote the review you're reading has no idea what happens at the place they're writing about. This is one of those places. It IS modern. It SHOULD be very nice. It Ought to be worth every penny. Ladies and gentleman, it is not. The view is ruined by the surrounding Historic (pronounced run down and dilapidated) buildings surrounding it. The patio, smoking section and pool are completely ruined by the fact of the industrial park and train yard that are appearantly hidden by a mere 8 food hedge. July 4th - WACO Texas Experiencing mega "cabin fever" in hometown Austin, We decided to road trip up to Waco for the 4th of July. Booked one night at the Hotel Indigo Waco/Baylor When available - Hotel Indigo has always been our home away from home place to stay. ALL our visits @ "Hotel Indigo" properties have been super clean, beds very comfortable and the decor creative + eclectic. WACO = From Check-In (Robert S.) to Check-Out the hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is a short stroll to the Magnolia Market at the Silos as well as trendy bars and eateries. Unfortunately, the City of Waco/last minute was forced to cancel all the 4th of July festivities to include fireworks because of Covid-19. After a day of sight-seeing we decided to have a night- cap at the hotel's Brazos Bar + Bistro. We had a "firecracker" evening! Great FUN FUN FUN! SUPER THANK YOU to our bartender Blake S. (House Sommelier) as we enjoyed a few tasty adult beverages, refreshing conversation, a surprise "cheese board" and tasting of spirits (Baby Blue + True Blue Whiskey) from the local Balcone's Distillery also a Covid-19 related closure. Up early on Sunday, we returned to the Brazos Bistro for breakfast which was included with our room. Anticipating a "buffet style" grab-n-go breakfast - we were greeted "Good Morning Ya All" by Michelle seating us at a table where we received a "chef" inspired menu. We selected a traditional breakfast + the avocado toast plate. I'm still kicking myself for not ordering the Bananas Foster Waffles! We knew this was OUR place - from our first cup of great coffee, fresh orange juice, the quality ingredients and presentation of our plates. Michelle was very friendly, provided us with fantastic service, a positive and fun start to our day. Thank You Hotel Indigo Waco/Baylor for a wonderful experience! Guests BEWARE....I had to cancel my reservation 5 days prior to my reservation date and was charged $204 which was the cost of half of my 2 night reservation. Full disclosure when I looked back on my reservation paperwork it did say I had to cancel 6 days in advance. I have been staying at hotels for 40+ years and never have I ever been charged for canceling 5 days in advance. Very unrealistic rules! Just wanted to make people aware of this policy!! read more

Love this hotel, I have stayed here with my best friend for a best friend trip before getting pregnant. And come back every time I'm in Waco for the food. They have an amazing restaurant called the Brazos Bar and Grill. The breakfast is absolutely amazing! For Lunch or dinner, the portions are a little bit smaller than I would like, but still amazing quality and taste. Whenever going to Waco from either Dallas or Austin, we only stop at this restaurant as we have had bad experiences at most other restaurants in Waco. Waco needs a better food selection for sure. read more
