View of Magnolia silos from the room
    Matt I.

Nice little hotel in downtown Waco. It is new and modern and while not the largest property when compared to many other hotels, it still has all of the main amenities (gym, pool, bar). I'm not super familiar with Waco Texas so I'm not sure of what there is to do there, I do know that many people go there for to see the Fixer Upper silos. This hotel is located literally right across the street from the Magnolia silos which was a huge plus. There are also a lot of other little shops and restaurants within walking distance from the hotel (including a Terry Balck's BBQ across the street). Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean, modern, and brand new! Overall an excellent stay. Customer service: 5/5 Amenities: 4.5/5 Rooms: 5/5 Property: 4.5/5 Overall: 4.75/5

This AC hotel was immaculately clean. The workers were all so nice & friendly. We sat at the bar one night talking to a very nice young man, the bartender, who gave us some restaurant suggestions in the area. This hotel is in walking distance to many places.

Second room I received after the first was not cleaned properly - evident bedsheets were changed and bed freshly made.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel despite friendly staff and great location. While on a business trip, I checked into my room and to my extreme disappointment and instant regret, the bedsheets were not changed. As soon as I pulled the top bedding back to do my normal checks, it was very apparent the bed had been slept in previously. Safe and clean accommodations is my priority, and should be any hotel's priority as well. Additionally, the vinyl floors did not appear to be swept/mopped. This is a new location and unfortunately, if the upkeep to the property and rooms remain at this standard, it will continue to go downhill. I enjoy Marriott as a chain; however, will opt to stay elsewhere when in this area. 2 stars for the excellent staff.

Go see Lauren and Loretta they are pretty amazing tell them mommy gina sent them!

It is really close to the Silos and parking here will save you the $10 Silo parking fee. There is not always someone at the desk, nor does the phone always get answered. BUT, the hotel has EXCELLENT communication. We received a text before checking in with all the info we needed. Then, advice to text if we needed anything. Actually we sent a few texts that were IMMEDIATELY answered. Impressive! Even in the largest of other hotels, it can take some time to get a real person. We were immediately texted when we had a question about parking, then accessing the room, and others. I read on one review that there are about 10 parking spots. Actually, there are probably 25 to 30 in the lot. We found that we could park in the lot with no issues at various times. NOTE: Some spots are marked with "Reserved Parking". I asked the hotel and they related that hotel guests can park in those spots. We were told about possible train noise. We did hear it a few times, but it wasn't bothersome. In fact, there were ear plugs in a black pouch in the bathroom should this be an issue. There was also live music in the 4th floor bar until midnight. We could hardly hear it & we were on the 4th floor as well. BTW, there are superior views of the silos from the rooftop and other places in the hotel.

As soon as I stepped in, I noticed how clean and modern the space felt. The design has a bright, minimalist aesthetic that gives off a very calm and refreshing vibe. After doing a bit of research, I found that Element markets itself as an extended stay hotel designed for the active traveler -- and that definitely came through in the details. Each room had a reusable water bottle, and all the water throughout the hotel is filtered, which I really appreciated. There was a mini fridge in the room, lots of built-in USB charging ports, and everything was set up to be functional, but sleek. The fitness room was a standout -- large, well air-conditioned, stocked with plenty of towels, and had all the essentials for a solid workout. I found out that they use the same beds as Westin Hotels, and it showed. Super comfortable mattress, plush pillows -- I slept really well. But honestly, what impressed me the most was the breakfast. It was complimentary, but far from your typical "budget hotel" buffet. Here's what stood out: * A yogurt bar with Chobani, fresh fruit, and nut toppings. * A variety of bagels, muffins, breads, and cereals. * Made-to-order hot breakfast options including a quinoa bowl, French toast, and an egg frittata with optional sausage. I went with the French toast -- a slice of toast cut in half, buttered, lightly sugared, and topped with powdered sugar and fresh berries (blueberries and strawberries). They even had a Nutella squeeze bottle, which was a fun and tasty touch. They also had a full-fledged cappuccino machine! It was such a pleasant surprise to be able to make a proper cappuccino in the morning. Overall, I had a great experience at Element Waco. With only a little over 100 Element Hotels across North America, it feels like a bit of a hidden gem. If I'm staying at a Marriott-brand hotel in the future, I'll definitely check to see if there's an Element in that city.

The location is fantastic--only about a 10-minute walk to Baylor University, which made getting around the area so easy. Whether you're visiting the campus, passing through town, or staying a few days, it's the perfect spot. My room truly felt like a home away from home. The full kitchen setup was impressive--stove, full-size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, dish soap and sponges, plus a coffee setup ready to go. There was also a dining table, work desk, living room area, and a separate bedroom, which made the space feel more like a comfortable apartment than a typical hotel room. It's perfect for travelers who want space to relax or stay longer. A special shoutout to Ricardo at the front desk--he checked me in and was absolutely amazing. He was so friendly, relatable, and welcoming, instantly making me feel comfortable after a long day of travel. Great hospitality like that really stands out. Overall, this was a fantastic stay in a charming small-town setting, I would absolutely stay here again.
