We live in Gibsonton Fl just south of Tampa. Our pool is screened in and has quite a bit of shade. We were tired of having 80+ degree days and looking at our beautiful pool that was sitting around 57-60 degrees. Usually in June the water would be very pleasing to swim in. I wanted to find a way to lengthen our months of pool time. I also wanted something that I could install myself.
I am not sure how I happen to find Hot Sun Industries but I am sure glad I did. After speaking with the owner Ken Wright, I felt he was honest and very informative about what I needed for our particular location. I was also impressed that it was HIM that was on the phone with me.
Ken helped me size my solar system and in a short amount of time it was delivered to the door.
I have to say that the number of boxes was a bit intimidating but a buddy and I were determined to get it installed.
The installation went VERY smooth, this was due to all the videos and print-outs that are available on the site as well as youtube. We got the system all together and had a small issue with adjusting the proper pressure to make the system work at its best. Again, I got Ken on the phone. Just as before Ken knew immediately that we were babying the system. We didn't want to push the system however we weren't pushing it enough!
IMPORTANT!! Ten days ago we started up the system, we had some water flowing but as mentioned above, we did not have it set correctly. We corrected the problem on the fourth day after talking to Ken. The rest is almost magical! The first day our pool was 57 degrees, on the 8th day the pool reached 80 degrees. On the tenth day we actually have 85 degree water!!! We will not keep it this warm but now we are curious if we cant make a ten thousand gallon Hot Tub. I really think we could, because the crazy part is that on the tenth day the ambient temp at our house is 85 degrees. THE SAME AS THE POOL.
Hats off to Ken and his company, I am certain that we will be enjoying possibly year round swimming from here on. I am extremely glad to have found Hot Sun (www.h2otsun.com)
