While spending a day with the hubby meandering through downtown Poulsbo we decided to stop in here to get some coffee. The inside is very spacious with a comfortable, laid back feel. Both drinks ordered were really good, especially my husband's chai tea latte. I ordered the white chocolate, which was also good. Both came with a complimentary stick of chocolate, which was a nice touch. Right after paying for our order we noticed the sign with their seasonal offerings, and really wish we had tried one of them. The seasonal offerings include pumpkin pie latte, pumpkin spice latte, and jack o'lantern latte...they all sound delicious and we will be going back to try these flavors very soon! BEST VANILLA CHI TEA EVER!!!! we go here during our "long" breaks from color and form class to get something, anything, to wake us up. everyone there is really friendly and it is a really chill place to just hang out for awhile. All of the drinks come with a small treat to tend to your sweet tooth before diving into a 20 oz. cup of whatever. if that doesn't satisfy you, the bakery across the street is to die for and is pretty cheap. read more

Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. I had a 16 oz soy latte with four shots of expresso and it still was not the usual strength that I've had from other coffee shops. I loved the additional offer of an expresso chocalate bean as topper. Amazing bakery across the street. read more

Grabbed a latte, then strolled around the adorable little downtown with waterfront views with a friend. The coffee was moist, and what little I saw of the interior looked charming. If you want to meet up with a friend in this area, this cafe will work nicely. read more

We were at the awesome bakery across the street getting delicious pastries but they didn't have soy milk for my lady's latte and they directed us here. The place is pretty cozy and all the tables were occupied when we walked in on a Monday morning. I ordered a Minty Mocha and my lady friend ordered her Soy Eggnog Latte. She thought it was one of the best lattes she'd had and my mocha was pretty good too. Both the gal taking orders at the register and the barista were friendly and fast. When they handed us our caffeinated drinks, we were pleasantly surprised by the chocolate covered coffee bean they placed on the lid. A nice touch! read more

I was shocked by their payment system. The cashier personally asked me how much of a tip I was giving her which was rude and unprofessional. Because of this I recommend paying in cash to avoid that situation. Besides that the drinks were sufficient. read more

Pretty decent place to get coffee (DISCLAIMER: I am not a coffee expert) in between looking at collectible Star Wars car air fresheners and replica swords from fantasy movies. (Don't tell my wife, but antiquing is kind of okay if you look for awesome/ridiculous stuff) The usable board games were a nice touch. Overall, it's nice place to stop in when you're shopping in the area. read more

I always travel by boat to Poulsbo and stay at the marina. This my favorite coffee place in town!

I've been back to this place a few times since my last review and the coffee is consistently better than before.

Spoiled by java joints in Seattle, you'd hope for more. For a small down, they do make a good cup and the staff are nice.

I really enjoy coming here with my wife and daughter. They make great Mocha's, and my daughter loves the Hot Chocolate. We also enjoy sitting on Front Street and just enjoying the sites. Great atmosphere, and fantastic staff too. read more

Great coffee & ice cream however super rude staff. I went once in the morning for coffee they just had a bad attitude. Then we went back for ice cream & i almost left i was so upset with the customer service. I waited over by the ice cream for probably 5mins. While they saw me, no one acknowledged me even to say "be right with you" so i thought to myself oh i must have to pay for the ice cream before i can try flavors. So i stood in line & ordered a double scoop. When she asked me what flavors I wanted i said i wasn't sure & i wanted to try some before. She rudely said," yeah if you wanna go over there & pick your flavors first... thats how this works here " so i head back over to the ice cream case. Meanwhile my friend orders his wife & him ice cream, im still waiting... & i finally say can i try this flavor & she goes ugh yeah let me get his ice cream first... i was like really? Then the girl says, " do one if you girls want to handle this?" Wt that point i almost walked out. However i didn't want to cause a scene so i decided to wrote this here. WHAT A GREAT SHOP! Loved the hometown street outside and the ambience and delicious chai tea, coffee and ice cream inside. Poulsbo is so much fun to walk and see the sites. Hot Shots Java is now our go-to spot to meet before -- and then relax after -- a nice jaunt down the picturesque street and out by the boats and the water. Its a cozy spot in the middle of the road. kinda hard to park and walk in when its busy--parking SUCKs at times in the whole DT area. had better coffee up the street, but the service is top drawer. good spot to hang. read more

Coffee is blah (the white moca is yucky), the muffins have been dry the two times I've been here. But today topped it all. I had to write a review. If you are a single person planning on tuning out the world with head phones this place is for you (if you like so so coffee and dry muffins). If you are a parent, who wants to meet other parents to have a cup of so so cup of coffee and chat for a little bit this place is NOT FOR YOU. They are not family friendly, nor are they kid friendly, unless your are from Stepford (kids must be seen and not heard). You'd do much better going to Coffee Oasis where they treat EVERYONE with respect. read more

This was our first stop during our very first visit to Poulsbo and I have to say that it kind of ruined our day. The place is nice enough inside and the coffee was not bad, albeit on the strong side. However, the service was so terrible. The girl who took out order was very rude and rolled her eyes at us when we asked a question about the menu. No smile, no appreciation even though we left a tip (we shouldn't have). Skip this place! I am sure that there are nicer people running coffee shops in Poulsbo but this is not one. read more

I was very disappointed with this place. The girl who took my order never cracked a smile and was not helpful when I asked questions about the drinks. My husband and I spent $12 and change on two drinks. My mocha tasted like watered down chocolate milk. When I asked if they would make me a blended drink instead and I would pay the difference, they said no, I would have to buy a whole new drink. Stupidly, I bought a whole new drink--a frazze--which was decent. I've never heard of a coffee shop that will not remake a customer's drink if they are unhappy with it, and seem unconcerned about customer satisfaction. I will never return. read more

I got a milkshake with someone else's money and bought something else separately. I paid for the milkshake in cash (gave $10 total) and didn't notice I didn't get any cash back until I got back to work. One expensive milkshake...great coffee served here, but would think that the girl at the register would have been better at giving change back. My bad also for not noticing. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I've been coming here for years with my family, and the last 3 or 4 time have been a nightmare. Not because of the business it's self, but because of one simple employee. The coffees always great, and the foods always delicious. But I've been really put off, and probably won't come back for a while. The employee we have a problem with is named Devin. She had a very nasty attitude, and acted like we were an inconvenience. The other employee actually apologized to us, about Devins behavior. And Devin wasn't only rude to me, and my family. She was very snappy and disgusting to the women she was working with. Devin was slamming stuff around, and huffing and puffing because my family and I were looking at the menu and must've been taking to long. Im a mom of 5, with one on the way. Yes, it's going to take time for my basketball team to figure out what they want. I love the owner, but she really needs to find someone else to take this young lady's place. This is not my only falling out with this certain employee, which is very unfortunate. All the other lady's are fabulous. read more
