My sister and my drink :)))
Kyla S.

It's sister and I's first time at Pulsbo we came here at Hot Shors Java for coffee. I got a Mocha White/Chocolate mix and my sister got a Pumpkin Spice I think. Gosh it's delicious thank you w the blue haired girl who took our order and recommended the Mocha mix to me and thanks to the person who made my drink! It's delicious and it has chocolate

Very good local coffee with lot of flavors ; Lot odd. Ute little tables. Service is very good , I am very happy, this is the first time I am visiting Poulsbo

Had the pleasantry of visiting on a Sunday morning before going crabbing on a boat. I needed some caffeine to get me through the day. I ordered a Valkyrie (nitro cold brew with Sweet Cream) I asked for it with some added ice (I like my coffees ice cold!) and a little extra vanilla (I also like it super sweet!) the Cashier looked at me like I was a little crazy, because Nitros are already cold, and the sweet cream already makes it sweet, but hey! I like what I like. And getting it the way I ordered made it just right for me. The line went quick and received my order in a timely manner. I also appreciated the tiny piece of chocolate included on top of my coffee!

Hot Shots Java is a coffee shop on the main drag in Poulsbo, Wa. The have a nice selection of coffee drinks and serve tea and ice cream. I ordered the Americano with room and it was fantastic! They also offer a small selection of breakfast bagels/pastries but I had already had breakfast so I'll have to try them next time. The coffee spot has plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, and the staff were friendly and customer service focused. Great little coffee shop!

My son says 5 stars! He was very excited to be able to order a white hot chocolate with whip cream and sprinkles AND marshmallows!

My son says 5 stars! He was very excited to be able to order a white hot chocolate with whip cream and sprinkles AND marshmallows! What a fun treat on our first trip to Poulsbo.

Fantastic coffee shop on Front Street, right across the street from Sluys Bakery (and you're going to need a couple shots of something if you're planning on standing in line at the bakery in the morning!). The dark chocolate "nib" (for lack of a better word) that accompanied both of our drinks was a nice touch, and blended (melted) pleasantly into my double espresso. Friendly service, plenty of space and seating, and they have ice cream as well, for those hot summer months! A pity they don't serve affogato, though, since they have all the necessary ingredients! Salads and wraps are also available, in addition to pastries and other baked goods, in case you decided against the wait at Sluys (honestly, though, they should just get their baked goods from across the street!).

Ducting allows stale air to leave the building and be replaced by fresh air.

As a coffee enthusiast who has sampled brews across the US and Europe, I can confidently say Hot Shots Java stands out for more than just its excellent coffee. Their commitment to cleanliness and safety is unparalleled--I've never seen a coffee shop that cleans its air vents daily! This attention to detail speaks volumes about their dedication to customer well-being. Clean air vents are crucial for improving air quality, reducing fire risks, and ensuring food safety. It's reassuring to know that Hot Shots takes this seriously, preventing the spread of harmful bacteria like E. coli and salmonella and reducing the risk of mold and food spoilage. Beyond its impeccable cleanliness, Hot Shots Java offers a warm, inviting atmosphere in the heart of historic downtown Poulsbo. Its organic, fair-trade coffee is custom roasted locally, and it uses top-quality ingredients in all its offerings. It's no wonder they've been voted Best Coffee and Baristas in North Kitsap for over 8 years. Their commitment to the community through local sourcing and support of the Fishline food bank is admirable. For a coffee experience that combines excellent taste with peace of mind, Hot Shots Java is the place to go--highly recommended! Ducting allows stale air to leave the building and be replaced by fresh air.

Toffee Nut latte and a breakfast muffin sandwich.

Another wonderful weather day in Poulsbo begins with a Toffee Nut latte and a great sausage, egg, and cheese muffin. This Front street coffee stop continues to be my favorite. I thought about breakfast elsewhere but the coffee and comfy in and outdoor seating brought me back. The staff are really friendly and even when extremely busy greet you warmly and get your order out quickly. The coffee is theirs but the food is brought in but tasty. If you need a caffeine lift and a great place to sit and visit for a spell drop in.

Hot mocha

Came here to get a mocha to start my day after grabbing some pastries from Sluy's. Very good hot mocha! Lots of seating while you wait, not that I had to wait long as my drink came out super fast.

I enjoyed coming here after a Sluy's donut run and accompanied my danish donut with a piping hot latte. It was a bit of a wait but worth it because it was one of the best lattes I've had in a while.

Decaf iced dark mocha with a complimentary chocolate stick.

We arrived at five minutes before their Monday 5:00 pm closing time and half expected to be turned away but the barista was very welcoming and friendly. In fact, another patron came in at 4:59 pm he was still entertained warmly. I got a decaf iced dark mocha with no whip and loved it. The drink came with a complimentary chocolate stick. Would definitely recommend this place and plan to come back to try their other drinks.

Hot Shots Java... A hidden gem among all the hustle and bustle of downtown Poulsbo, WA. Hot Shots Java has a wide variety of snack/pastries, wraps, coffee, and even ice cream! The prices are decently set making item quality, quantity, and affordability spot on. The food/drink items for sale are not anything extravagant but considering the convenience of location it is the best and almost only option. The interior is clean, organized, and calm. There is ample seating space but due to CDC Covid-19 restrictions seating is spaced apart. There are both small tables for smaller groups/couples and a larger more lounge'y area towards the back of the business. Masks are required to enter and are expected to remain on unless enjoying the purchased food/drinks. Patrons have the option of enjoying their purchased goods with both interior and exterior seating. There is little to no existence of parking spots exclusive to this coffee shop. If you are lucky then you might score a (parallel) parking spot on the main street or can park in the back parking lot where most downtown customers/patrons of the area park. Service is friendly and helpful. Clerks are patient and assist patrons with answers to questions with a smile. If you are looking for a coffee shop in Poulsbo there are better options but Hot Shots Java is in the heart of downtown Poulsbo you cannot go wrong.

Spoiled by java joints in Seattle, you'd hope for more. For a small down, they do make a good cup and the staff are nice.

The bakery is located in the heart of Poulsbo, a charming Scandinavian-style town. There's usually a line, but we've been lucky during our visits and haven't had to wait too long. They offer a wide variety of freshly baked pastries, cakes, bread, and other sweet goods. We've tried several of their danishes and bundoughs, which were good, though some are bit on the sweeter side. Overall, we enjoyed our visits and the experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Keeping an open mind that they offer a larger variety of pastries and goods I didn't try but my visit felt just average. While not overly impressed, I can appreciate a solid spot with fresh donuts and pastries managing high traffic. Line tends to be long but moves at a moderate speed, as the employees are open to chatting. Large Butterhorn - excessively sweet to a point where I felt sick of sugar because it's also pretty big. I personally would rather eat a fluffy donut because this felt more like a condensed block of sugar, but seems to be a favorite for others. Might just not be for me. Swedish Almond Pastry - while this was also super sweet, the almond flavor was able to pop out at times. Sliced almonds on top helped sprinkle some extra flavor but were ultimately consumed by the sweetness. A little flakier in texture which helped dissociate with the dense sugar block.

Same size cup, which is very odd to be charging If someone's looking at their receipt and asking questions, it's gonna slow the line down and probably add stress for the cashier as well as possible negative energy Just sharing the data points I think they should streamline this. I like that they don't want to waste, but at least almost everybody even who's drinking inside has plastic so it's a little confusing. If you ask for a glass of water, they will charge you a dollar but if you get it in glass and drink while you're on site, there is no charge Again, I appreciate that they are trying to reduce plastic for the to go water, but doesn't make any sense to me because I'm seeing plastic drinks inside the restaurant Also, I asked if I got a ice latte if it came in a bigger cup because otherwise you're getting less of a latte. A lot of places give you a bigger cup for 12 ounce latte since they're adding an ice but they don't do that here. Mocha was not hot. Coffee was so so. Barista was great. Cashier a bit annoyed with the questions. But I can understand her position especially as line begins.
