After a long night out, I decided to have a hair of the dog the next day with dinner at an AYCE Hot Pot. Opted for drank a small amount of Soju to ease my hangover. Hot Pot Buffet can be found in Boston's Chinatown. You will find a good buffet for hot pot serving a lot of options. We got all you can eat for four people and a bottle of Soju. Was seated on the ground floor of the restaurant, it was a steady busy Friday night. One of the girls in the group suggested of an amazing hot pot place that exceeded all my expectations! The all-you-can-eat concept provides a fantastic variety of fresh ingredients, ensuring there's something for every palate. The broth options were flavorful. I chose the House Broth, while the service is good. What sets this place apart is the unbeatable price for the quality of the dining experience. It's a must-try for hot pot enthusiasts seeking a delightful and budget-friendly meal. They are also open very late!

The place looked super sketch on the outside. Inside wasn't much better LOL. Downstairs for individuals or couples and larger groups eat upstairs. You use a paper menu and pencil to mark what you want. We chose assorted veggies, seafood, and meats to try. The waiters bring them out on plates portioned for the number of people in your party. There were a selection of Chinese style broths. We didn't do anything adventurous and chose the chicken broth (they also had black chicken broth, herbal broth, etc). The broth did have good flavor. Their pricing is weird. It was 31.99 per person for dinner and $4 extra for the broth. You can tell that the meats and most of the seafood were all frozen. That's ok but the quality was definitely lower. Clams were surprisingly higher quality and fresh. They were gigantic too! Waiters were responsive when we asked for more food.

Amazing experience with affordable prices! Service is ok, but if you look past that and don't mind waiting. Once you're all set up with your brother and food everything is fresh and amazing! And of course you'll leave rolling out of there. Fresh seafood and delicious broths

Came here for dinner while wandering around Chinatown. We got promptly seated upon arrival and the service was friendly. Like a lot of AYCE buffets, it's pretty straightforward. They give you paper and pen to check off what you would like. We got a variety of different things. I must say that I was kind of surprised when we got the things we checked off since it was a little misleading. The sausage that they had in the menu were actually hot dogs. There weren't a lot of sauce options but it was good enough for my friend and me. There's unlimited meat, veggies, and seafood and at that price point, it's definitely an amazing value. The food won't be super high quality for an AYCE buffet but for a casual dinner with friends is great. This place definitely fit the bill of what we were looking for -- an inexpensive yet filling dinner.

I came in with a small group and I was seated right away. I was about to pick 2 broths and order from a menu. The sauces were pre made. I recommend coming here with a group.

This is a really solid place to come to for hot pot. We usually get the house broth and the spicy broth, which is really flavorful. It's all you can eat, so you can check off whatever you want and they'll bring it to the table. I usually get a couple kinds of steak, crab legs, shrimp, salmon, white fish, quail eggs, an assortment of veggies (bok choy, chinese broccoli, mushrooms, etc), and white rice. They have MANY more offerings, but that's just what I usually go with. You can ask for more sheets to get more whenever you want, which is great. I definitely recommend Hot Pot Buffet as a tasty, inexpensive all-you-can-eat option.

I just love the fact that you can order and try everything without breaking the bank. The broth is fine and so are the accompaniments (ask for fresh garlic, peppers, and scallions) veggies are fresh and so are the meat, seafood a bit lacking but it is buffet so I'm not expecting too much. All in all a great value for what I ordered (which was everything). I would go back for lunch on my own especially on a chilly day, and spend a couple of hours listening to tunes on my AirPods, working on my laptop, and dipping away.

Lunch'd here with the fam. This spot came recommended in Boston's Chinatown district so I was excited to try for myself. The restaurant is two stories affording these guys the ability to entertain almost any party size. We sat upstairs and the space was huge. Upon seating, one of the servers passed out their signature dipping sauce in which could be dressed with chilli peppers, fresh diced garlic, and green onions. From there, you can select the type of broth(s) you want for your hot pot. We chose a spicy broth and then a more mild one for my niece. Once the broth arrives, you check off all the different types of vegetables, protein, seafood you want for your unique hot pot experience. We chose a little bit of everything and ate our hearts out. It is unlimited so be careful how much you order -- you don't want to be one of those wasteful buffet diners especially given how expensive food in general costs these days. Seafood and beef that we ordered were fresh and tasted great once cooked in the broth. If you have young hungry teenagers, this is a good choice to fill their stomachs up completely for a flat price.

Meets expectation. Imagine you meet a straightforward guy that looks great on paper with a wide variety, but often times gives you yellow poor quality meat, a little bit of attitude when he services you, is cheap and reasonable, makes you pay extra when you want his premium meat, makes you nag when you want more, but at the end of the day fills you up. Well, that guy, is Hot Pot Buffet. Simple, straightforward, meets expectations. Side note: * $30/person * does not offer dessert * variety: prime rib, short rib, lamb, beef tongue, squid, salmon, salmon, dumplings, kabocha, taro, noodles, udon, rice, rice cakes, gluten fried dumplings, bok choy, water cress, Napa, pork blood, enoki, trumpet mushrooms, shrimp ball, tofu, bean curd, shrimp, quail eggs, rice * only 3 different sauces: sacha sauce, hoisin, soy sauce

Great spot for super late-night eats cause they open until 2 AM. I LOVE THEIR SAUCE! Man, what is their sauce its so addicting I go through 2-3 bowls of sauce every time I go. It's AYCE with a good selection of meats and veggies, seafood is lacking but what do you expect. I be going crazy here and leaving stuffed.

DISGUSTING! The meat tasted like paper. The spicy pot was like pure water. The spoon holder had mold on it.

It has a very modern and clean interior, very white inside, and definitely chilly - makes sense given the hotpot. I've gone a few times both for lunch and for dinner. You can order stuff on their iPad. You can also put your belongings in plastic bags which I greatly appreciated because I don't want the scent (although I love it) to come home with me - bonus points for service. I forgot what flavor the cow hotpot was, probably just a regular mala one, but it was so cute and not gimmicky at all - really great broth, which I greatly appreciated. Good sauce bar with a couple of appetizers but it is quite expensive at $3.99 although this has unfortunately become the norm now at many hotpot restaurants. I also think all of their ingredients are high quality - meat, vegetables, etc. Love it!

My…read morepersonal checklist for a great spot comes down to four things: broth depth, quality and variety of ingredients, cleanliness, and service efficiency. Liuyishou Hotpot easily earned its spot in the top 3 of my list, primarily because of its stellar soup bases. The coconut chicken broth is remarkably clean, flavorful, and light, while the golden soup is deeply comforting, nourishing, and rich. A huge highlight is that when you need a refill, they don't just dump in plain hot water or diluted stock--the coconut soup gets topped off with real coconut water, and the golden soup is replenished with actual broth. Adding to the desire to sip every last drop of that soup! Everything arrives with unique, aesthetic presentation, and the staff is friendly, efficient, and attentive in a spotless dining room. My only real gripe is the sauce bar. Charging $3.99 per person for sauces feels a bit steep, especially since this isn't an all-you-can-eat establishment for regular hot pot ingredients. However, given the broth quality, incredible ingredient freshness, and overall top-tier service, it's still one of the best hot pot experiences around and a spot I'll gladly keep returning to. Also, grab that fried milk curd at the end! It's not too sweet and not too greasy either (easily the best fried milk I've had)!

What a nice surprise…read more We went in October 2026, thurs night and thought the value was excellent. The Classic option was $30.95 and already came with a huge selection of food. You get around seven types of meat, including shaved beef, pork, chicken, and lamb. The Premium option is $39.95 and adds more seafood and better cuts of beef. But honestly, the meat selection wasn't even the most impressive part. The self-serve hot pot area is abundant. Tons of vegetables, noodles, tofu, whole shrimp, shrimp paste, and just about everything you could want for hot pot. Soft drinks are included, along with appetizers like spring rolls, fried rice, and chow mein -- even with the Classic option. The staff was efficient, nice, and accommodating. I wasn't expecting much from the service at an all-you-can-eat place, but they were actually much better than expected. Great price, great food, tons of choices, and you are guaranteed to leave full. We got the silver set, which comes with American and Australian wagyu meat options. We opted for this one because it includes the seafood platter, vegetable platter, and choice of one of the following specialty dishes: wagyu tartare with chips, sweet shrimp sashimi, bone marrow, & wagyu nigiri. We decided to each get the wagyu tartare. For broths, we did half sukiyaki and half spicy miso. I think next time I will just get only sukiyaki though because it is so good! We ended up just cooking everything in the sukiyaki broth. The pasteurized eggs are amazing in this broth btw! For all of the AYCE options, you get unlimited drinks + tea, seasonal fruit, ice cream, sauce bar, pasteurized eggs, ground wagyu, wagyu curry, and can order appetizers off their appetizer menu. For appetizers, we ordered seaweed salad, eel nigiri, chicken karaage, & fried shumai. They all tasted as expected, so we were happy about that. I enjoyed the ground wagyu! It was tasty and even tastier after adding in some garlic & chili peppers. Wagyu tartare looked and tasted very fresh. I think if it had some more citrus, it would've been even better. Because raw beef doesn't really have that much of a taste and I think some more lime would complement this well! The seafood platter was awesome. My favorites were the lobster tail, fresh abalone, scallops, and oysters. Amazing! I would say the only thing that I didn't like from my recent visit was the vegetable platter. It had great variety BUT I wasn't have that some of the veggies they gave us were not properly cleaned. Make sure to inspect the vegetables!! The watercress and bok choy still had some dirt on them. But everything else was fine. I always inspect everything before eating (anywhere) but I especially make sure to inspect watercress because it's known to be pretty dirty. For meats, we mainly stuck with the Australian wagyu chuck ribeye! It is my favorite cut from this set. Overall, I'd come back again! I think it's a great place to go for hotpot & is different from your typical Chinese hotpot experience. The silver set is the best to get in my opinion because you get a little bit of everything & to be honest, I don't think you can really taste the difference of the different wagyus (American vs Australian vs Japanese) unless it's being grilled.
