We have been to this hotpot restaurant a couple times now and they always deliver great food! Their dining space is fairly big comparatively to other Boston restaurants, so seating is usually fast. Even during busy hours, the wait is short. The staff are attentive and very fast with service, running around to serve everyone on time! We have tried both a la carte and AYCE, and both options are great depending on how hungry you are. Their AYCE plates came pretty fast after ordering and includes most of their menu. I also really appreciate their delicious sauce bar and snacks for grabbing anytime! They have a great selection of broths as well, I enjoyed their tomyum and golden chicken options. Overall, I think this is absolutely one of the better hotpot places in Boston, and highly recommend to all that are in the area!

This place is soooo good! They have 4 vegetarian broth options which was amazing. We got the original spice level 3 and tom yum, with a lot of veggies. The broth was delicious, though I could have done with maybe spice level 1 or 2, 3 was way too spicy for me . They had great service and really nice seating. They also had a self service counter with peanut sauce, seasame seeds and other sauces if you wanted to add to your dishes. I would definetely go eat here again!!

Came here for dinner. The staff was excellent and the restaurant was clean and very new like. The food was fresh and everything tasted as it should. The meats were good..good cuts. The broth for the soup was good. The spicy one was pretty spicy and coconut water chicken broth was delicious. Can really taste the coconut water. Definitely will be going back

They currently offer a Happy Hour from Monday to Friday, with most meats and selected signature dishes at 12% off--super worth it! At lunchtime, they also have a Lunch Special for two people at just $66, and the portions are generous enough to leave you full and satisfied. Highly recommended!

This is a great place to go for hot pot on a cold day. The broths were nice and flavorful and all of the items we ordered were very fresh. The service was friendly and attentive. I don't think this place beats all of the other hot pot places in Boston, but it's definitely worth a visit!

Came here for valentines day as it's one of the very few hot pot restaurants where you can make a reservation. Food came out in less than 5 min after ordering on the ipad. Everything was delicious and the service was great. We even got a brown sugar rice cake dessert for free. Ambiance is really nice; I feel it's pretty spacious but fills up quick during dinner time. We got prime ribeye, short rib for the meat, signature shrimp paste, napa cabbage, and watercress, fish tofu, half herbal broth half tom yum broth, side of egg fried rice, hand pulled noodles. Super satisfied and we were stuffed. I also got the lime wamama drink which was like a yogurt drink and it was great to wash down all the saltiness. Also lots of snacks and even a mung bean dessert at the sauce bar. If you pay in cash you get a 10% discount

ncredible Hotpot Experience! Shu Da Xia Hotpot is hands down one of the best hotpot experiences I've had! From the moment you step in, the atmosphere is immersive, with beautiful decor that transports you straight to Chengdu. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure everything is perfect throughout the meal. The broth selection is top-tier--rich, flavorful, and packed with depth. Whether you go for the classic spicy Sichuan broth or a mild option, every sip is an explosion of authentic flavors. The ingredients are fresh, high-quality, and abundant, with a great variety of meats, seafood, and veggies. The handmade shrimp paste and house-made sauces are must-tries! What truly sets this place apart is the attention to detail, from the presentation to the little extras like traditional performances and complimentary snacks. It's a fantastic spot for a fun gathering with friends or a unique dining experience. Highly recommend Shu Da Xia Hotpot! Can't wait to come back for another round. You can tweak it based on your personal experience! Let me know if you want to highlight anything specific.

Came in before its busy time, and I had great time here! I like the broths and, everything looks so fresh. Service was amazing, the moment you enter the restaurant, the whole staffs greeted you in Chinese very loudly and friendly. You get to make your own sauces at the station. Our bill was $320 for 6, not bad for hotpot, since hotpot is pretty pricey nowadays. They offer coat hanging service, so your jackets/coats will not smelled like hotpot once you finish the meal. The staffs are well trained and friendly. They saw my group were trying to take a selfie, so they offered to take one for us. Our table was well taken care of. Will come back!

Spicy hot pot base and tomato soup base

The flavor is amazing, especially the spicy hot pot base, it reminds me the flavor and smell back in my hometown Chongqing. The whole store is clean and nice too.

Good place for a group gathering. We called ahead for a table of 12. Good soup base. One can order a split pot with double flavor soup base, 1/2 non-spicy chicken soup and 1/2 signature spicy soup. Boil the meat, seafood, vegetables dishes in the soup and eat! Afterward, one can also drink the yummy soup! Attentive service! They add more soup base, refilled water, and brought more napkins without us asking! Items were brought relatively quick. The place is clean and nicely decorated!

A nice hotpot place on Comm Ave at BU's East campus right next to one of the science buildings. This place replaced another restaurant and I'm excited that I finally got the chance to try it. I came here on a Sunday morning right when they opened up and we were able to get seated at a table right away. The server gave us the iPad to order food and we ordered the beef/pork combo, fish balls, shrimp paste, napa, mushroom platter, watercress and noodles. The sauce bar and appetizers are an additional $3 per person, which we also added on. Everything came out fresh and we got the mild spicy broth and a mushroom broth. I'm glad we ordered mild because the spice level was tolerable and you were able to get the spicy kick flavor without the burning pain of your mouth. I grabbed some edamame and peanuts from the bar for additional flavors and textures to the meal. Overall, it was a pretty filling meal for 2 people and the restaurant was full when we left. A nice spot to checkout this winter in you're in the area!

The hostess provided a plastic covering for my purse and explained that the smell from the hotpot can cling to fabric. I genuinely appreciated that level of thoughtfulness. She also took time to explain the specials and suggested ordering a combo since it would cost less, which felt honest rather than sales-driven. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and the toppings bar had so many options that you can really customize your experience. I went solo this time but this is definitely the kind of place that would be perfect for groups. What truly stood out to me, though, was the service. I accidentally threw something important away before leaving and didn't realize until I was gone. When I called they looked through the trash but couldn't find it.They allowed me to come back and search through the trash and even provided gloves. That level of patience and kindness is rare and meant a lot. Between the fresh food, helpful staff, and exceptional service, this was a 10/10 experience. I would absolutely recommend.

To find a good place to go and Happy Lamb for the bill. We arrived early, doors still closed but the vestibule was available for us to sit while waiting. In the vestibule they have their menu posted so we browsed while waiting and had decided on what we wanted. Doors open and immediately sat at a table with flat burners. Decor is Asian themed with plenty of seating. Space is well utilized. Menu given and order taken. Once the hot soup portion was done and our protein picked out off to the buffet portion of this experience. They have three large shelves coolers with multiple shelves filled with veggies, noodles, and fish to add to your hot pot experience. They also offered hot apps and fried rice. Our two broths in one pot arrived and the fun began. Different flavor combinations as well as texture. My husband had a little bit of a hard time because we were given two spoons for both broths. I had the slotted one and he had the regular spoon so he had a hard time fishing out his add ons. Once we realized this was an issue we were given more spoons. Service was great, clarified items for us and was there when ever we needed. We made the mistake of reading too fast and thought we ordered beef tongue when it was beef TRIPE! It was gray and not appetizing. Tasted it and it wasn't bad. We really enjoyed and will be back.

We weren't made aware of this when we came in, but not a big deal. We asked if the 90 minutes was to order or to leave, and the staff said to order. We then placed a final order and they took it. 10 mins later, a waitress comes by and abruptly says our time is up, we can't finish our food because there are other people waiting for tables, and starts clearing our plates and dumping everything into the broth pot. The 2 plates of beef and fish they just brought out went straight into the pile, wasted. Why take the order if you'll give us 2 mins from when you give it to us to cook and swallow everything? We were just shocked more than anything, and left with a bad taste in our mouths. The worst parts were we realized the family sitting next to us were there before us and still there when we basically got kicked out. Second, the staff lied because there was no line outside and 3-4 large tables open as we were leaving. Truly a disappointing experience - will not be going back to this location.

One dish I would recommend is Xi'an Cold Rice noodles, it's an appetizer but was on par for a dish. The proportion was on the larger side and it had a perfect spice, all I have to say was it was delicious and for $9.95 you cannot go wrong. The dan dan noodles were good, but I would say the cold noodles were better. The golden buns were also great, a classic dish that is always loved with a great crisp. We did get the wrong sushi roll, unsure if they misheard us or if they thought we pointed to a different one but I'm glad they did because the Thunder Roll was delicious. I think it was the yellowtail that was on top that tied everything together, it was just really good. Overall a great place for dishes if you haven't tried it before you won't be disappointed.
