DO NOT eat here. We were charged .40 for our pork. $1.00 for barley a half a scoop of queso on one bowl. Our sauce at the end, we were charged .60 for each bowl, receipt said "extra". We never ordered or received extra of anything. Asked for small queso and chips was charged $4.99. Portions were so small. The man there (owner?) was not nice at all. Well I would just like to say this is our first time here! We ordered online that was super quick. When we went in to pick it up it was ready to go nicely packed. Got it home and everything was packed perfectly nothing was leaking. The online ordering was super easy to do as well. The service continues to be superb and the store looks mostly good (the restroom was a little suspect.) Anyway here's the food review... Steak Burrito With Straight Habenero Chips And Queso What Is It: The burrito was a build it yourself like all of their other burritos. This one I got spicy steak, brown rice, jack cheese, and straight habenero sauce. The chips and queso were exactly that. Presentation: As I've said before Hotheads has some of the coolest packaging and logo anywhere. The food all looked fine as well. 8 out of 10 Taste/ Final Analysis: Well this burrito will certainly get your attention from a spice standpoint. Straight habenero will do that. The steak as always was flavoured beautifully and that sauce certainly was a scorcher. It's probably best used with another sauce to maybe tone it down a bit but I liked it this way too. It's like a subway with tacos and burritos. Just like if you've ever had a really good sub and then went to subway to be disappointed... same with this place for tacos and burritos. There is nothing Mexican or even Tex-mex about this place. The ingredients are fresh, which is one positive. They do have a good selection of different types of meats. But, they only offer white or brown rice, no Mexican or even cilantro. They only offer black beans or pinto, no refried. The beans and rice booth seem to be coasted in lots of butter. First ever visit to this place. Wasn't too keen to start with. But, this was one of the closest eating options to my hotel. After walking in - I thought it is very much like chipotle. But, when I went up to order food. The food didnt look very appealing. In the beans container you could see the water separate from beans. Just wasn't done right. I anyways got myself a rice bowl. Well I can't speak for their food. Ended up going elsewhere. I saw their billboard on the highway and couldn't wait to try it. I have never had it before and went online to order. Saw the kids meal was $5.25 for kids size entree, chips/salsa or cookie and drink "all included in the price" per their website and thought that would be perfect for my son. You click the kids meal option, they ask you to choose what item (spoiler alert only the cheese quesadilla is included in that price), then you have to choose side (spoiler alert only the cookie is included in that price...but they were out of cookies soooo.....), then you choose a drink (spoiler alert only the bottle drink was included in that price and your only options were Pepsi, Diet Pepsi or Mtn Dew). So when I went to check out his $5.25 meal with "all included items" was $8.20??? I thought maybe I clicked extras or add on items and when I saw that I didn't I called the store thinking I did something wrong. Talked to a rude "manager" telling me yep that is right and when I suggested they may want to talk to someone about changing the wording on their website so it isn't so deceiving he said "I am the manager and there is no one I can call"? The food is pretty tasty- but like others have said, they are very conservative with their fixins. Compared to other burrito places (you know where), the serving size is disappointing. There are various prices on the different meats- which are not clearly marked (gets me every time!). Numerous sauces can be added onto your burrito- but not many salsas. I wish they had more fresh toppings, compared to bottled flavors. If there is a sign that identifies the different sauce choices, I have not noticed it. There are lots of overhead signs, but while walking down the line trying to tell them what you want- who wants to look up? I want to look down at the options and decide what looks tasty. I went here for lunch and got myself a burrito. It reminds me of a lot of other burrito places of this nature. You walk up and create your own burrito or burrito bowl, etc. The choices here are about the same as many other places except as the name implies you can get a lot of spicier options. They have spicy versions of everything and some great sauces and salsas you can add to your burrito to really kick things up a notch. I ended up getting the chicken with the hottest sauces and salsas they have. I typically eat very spicy food when at home and as far as I could tell all of their spicy extras were habanero based. I appreciated the heat everything added to my burrito and would go here again. It's fairly packed during lunch at this particular location as well due to the number of large businesses around. A layover snafu found me at the Residence Inn and this place is an easy 3 minute walk. The guy in front of me had a huge burrito so I decided to follow his path, and mine ended up being probably even bigger than the biggest I've ever had at chipotle. But what good is big if it's boring, and actually the food was excellent and flavorful with a lot of sauces with some punchy character. The food was ok but the customer service was so terrible it was almost funny. The girls that work there are so MISERABLE with their job it's ridiculous. If you are so upset about being at your job, don't work there. I was uncomfortable talking to them because they were clearly so mad about doing what they had to do. The first girl was rude and basically throwing our food around to get done so she didn't have to speak with us. The second girl was huffing and puffing about putting our order together.
