Ordered a GF spaghetti with lobster. Came in a tomato sauce that was lacking something. Added salt to it and it helped but it could have used more flavor, like garlic or something. Lobster was very well cooked and the dish was tasty overall.

The cheese and basil with tomato sauce pasta literally had one small sprig of basil only. Disappointing.

We didn't try the pizza because we were highly anticipating Italian pasta. After eating their pasta, I wish we had ordered the pizza instead, especially since the words "Pizzeria" was on their door. The only remarkable thing I could say is that the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. We had the bolognese pasta where the ground beef had an aftertaste of canned dog food (no, I have never eaten dog food but the aftertaste was like the smell of canned dog food). My husband and daughter thought it was good. But both of them agreed that the Hosteria de Pastini's Bolognese sauce was not as good as my homemade bolognese sauce. The other pasta that we had chosen supposedly had cheese and basil on top of tomato sauce. The tomato sauce was decent, but there literally was 1 small sprig of fresh basil. Since this restaurant is extremely close to the Pantheon, the price for the size of the dish is comparable to other nearby restaurants.

We are here when we went to the Pantheon. We got seated very fast and loved our food! We both kicked our plates clean! Also, if you are craving some American French fries, this place had delicious ones! The lasagna and amatriciana were very well cooked and we loved every bite. I will say we questioned our decision when we saw someone's pizza come out because it took up the whole table and looked delicious but our meals were great! If we ever go back, we will def try the pizza!

Mediocre food, tourist trap. The food here is bad and the service is bad too. Took forever to get our appetizers. We had to ask several times to receive all of them. The suppli was cold with little flavor. The amatriciana was very bland, and the bacon was overcooked. The bolognese had an overly sweet yet greasiness to it. And the pizza was just low quality. Keep walking to another restaurant because this one will leave you dissatisfied.

Came to visit Rome for honeymoon and this place was close to my stay in Rome with great google ratings, the food was great. Would recommend.

We had a lovely dinner here. Each dish was great. The service was great. We enjoyed dining outside and watching the people pass by. The ambiance was very nice outside and inside. Only about a block away from the Pantheon but away from craziness of the crowds. The carbonara was my favorite.

Excellent. Pizza, pasta and drinks. Love the location and staff. Not sure about the other low reviews but we will eat here again

Host was personable and seated us at a cafe table near the busy thru-way, which was great for people watching. We were wary since it was on a street leading to the Pantheon, but we're pleasantly surprised! Had the lasagna, which was authentic- lots of cheese & a great meat sauce, and seafood pasta-delicious with noodles that were truly al dente! Plates were generous and beautifully presented!

Had a terrific dinner of Carciofi alla Giudia and Tonnarelli cacio e pepe. Hostess was great as was service. Close to Pantheon but prices still reasonable. Would highly recommend!

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

Already depressed knowing we were returning to the cold and fearful Minneapolis, we spent the day packing and wandering Prati. After drowning our sorrows at a few cocktail emporiums in the early evening, we walked into Su e Giu without a reservation close to 9:30. The two guys working the front showed us to a table, and we proceeded to have a perfect last night meal. Our appetizers and pastas were great, service was friendly, and I spent time reflecting on how wonderful Rome is, rather than thinking about our return to the fractured States. Su e Giu Cucina Romana is the perfect Roman restaurant to feel La Dolce Vita. It is a sweet life indeed.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem. It's a licorice like liqueur enjoyed as a digestif. Definitely an acquired taste that reminded me of Aguardiente.
