This review is mainly based on the service... It's been a very long time since I have reviewed restaurants. This time I have to as I am currently sitting at the table waiting. At first the service was decent, attentive to our table of 2. Then a table of 10 arrives and our waiter completely forgets about us. Waited for approximately 25 minutes when he finally remembered we were sitting here. Completely made me lose my appetite and ruined our dinner. I understand the restaurant gets busy but currently there are 7 tables with customers. Now to the food, the fried seafood platter was on point and so was the fungi pizza! My fungi pasta was tasty. Still worth trying their food!!! Cozy and clean restaurant! The table next to us was waiting on their tiramisu for about 30 minutes soo, sadly to say, I do not recommend this restaurant based on their service solely. read more

Ordered a GF spaghetti with lobster. Came in a tomato sauce that was lacking something. Added salt to it and it helped but it could have used more flavor, like garlic or something. Lobster was very well cooked and the dish was tasty overall. read more

We didn't try the pizza because we were highly anticipating Italian pasta. After eating their pasta, I wish we had ordered the pizza instead, especially since the words "Pizzeria" was on their door. The only remarkable thing I could say is that the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. We had the bolognese pasta where the ground beef had an aftertaste of canned dog food (no, I have never eaten dog food but the aftertaste was like the smell of canned dog food). My husband and daughter thought it was good. But both of them agreed that the Hosteria de Pastini's Bolognese sauce was not as good as my homemade bolognese sauce. The other pasta that we had chosen supposedly had cheese and basil on top of tomato sauce. The tomato sauce was decent, but there literally was 1 small sprig of fresh basil. Since this restaurant is extremely close to the Pantheon, the price for the size of the dish is comparable to other nearby restaurants. read more

We are here when we went to the Pantheon. We got seated very fast and loved our food! We both kicked our plates clean! Also, if you are craving some American French fries, this place had delicious ones! The lasagna and amatriciana were very well cooked and we loved every bite. I will say we questioned our decision when we saw someone's pizza come out because it took up the whole table and looked delicious but our meals were great! If we ever go back, we will def try the pizza! read more

I do not understand all these good reviews. There are thousands of better restaurants in Rome. We went here because we were desperate to escape the heat. Google reviews has it at 4.6 stars. Salad was your basic salad. The carbonara was awful. The egg yolk split so it was like eating noodles with scrambled eggs and oil from the guanciale in a split greasy mess. Noodles itself were al dente. Amatriciana was better. Then the server asked for a tip at the end of the meal. Please do not make the same mistake we made. Many many better restaurants. 100% tourists only here. Plan well and enjoy. read more

Mediocre food, tourist trap. The food here is bad and the service is bad too. Took forever to get our appetizers. We had to ask several times to receive all of them. The suppli was cold with little flavor. The amatriciana was very bland, and the bacon was overcooked. The bolognese had an overly sweet yet greasiness to it. And the pizza was just low quality. Absolutely incredible! The staff are amazing and will go above and beyond to make your experience great. They are helpful, kind, and very good at what they do. The food is also INCREDIBLE. We found this little gem while walking back from the Pantheon. We were delighted to find the best Carbonara in town. The focaccia bread and antipasto was also a hit for us. My husband really enjoyed his seafood pasta .The service was superb and so very attentive. This cute place has all the wonderful gems your except from a true Italian restaurant. The pizza is delicious!!! I had the tagliatelle w/funghi (mushrooms). It was okay. I wouldn't recommend ordering it. Not enough flavor. My fiancée had a vegetable dish with fish. They took care to remove the bones from the fish at the table. The vegetables were great (potatoes and zucchini). The fish left a little to be desired. Last, they gave us a complimentary lemon sorbet that was spectacular. Festini in my mouth. Get the pizza. Customer service was fantastic and the ambiance is lovely. My first true Italian meal. While walking in the streets of Rome, I was starving of course, lol and among all the restaurants this one for reason stranded out. Perhaps the staff they outside giving menu information helped to make the decision and perhaps the prices were were reasonable or perhaps the outdoor seating were you could enjoy your meal while people watching and at the same time enjoy the beautiful weather. Also had free WiFi we just ordered a margarita pizza and bruschetta, both were delicious, served in timely manner. It was a really enjoyable and nice lunch. Such a delicious gem! We were tired and stumbled upon this place, just a few steps away from the Pantheon. The service was great, and the food was DELICIOUS. This was a surprise because Roman food is a hit or miss. Due to all the tourism, you can pay for overpriced food that has very little taste. But Hostaria De' Pastini was wonderful. The outside is nice, but the inside has air conditioning (a great relief!) and very cute, picturesque decor. We ordered the special of the day, which was delicious! Ravioli. And we ordered a steak, which was so JUICY and TASTY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I'm gonna recommend this place to anyone who visits Rome! read more

Came here based on TripAdvisor reviews but should've never come in here. First off, the guy in front tried to bribe me to come in with a drink (that should have been the first warning sign). 9€ for a Margherita pizza that was underwhelming - would've gladly paid more if it was better. Second, it got me sick. I don't know if they handle their cheese with care in the back but I'm struggling to keep anything down after I ate their pizza. Sad end to my Rome trip. Also, waiters keep trying to upsell you on more expensive items - once we ordered our dishes and water, we were not even looked at again since there were other tables that ordered bottles of wine or had more people. The disparity between how we were treated vs how others were treated was HUGE. Go to any other place.. at BEST, this location has average Italian food. read more

We came here after aHorrendous meal across the way at pummarola drink ristorante. Their food was horrendous! Our server was so kind and happily sat us even for just a few glasses of wine. In Florence and other Roma places they get mad if you just get wine. Here, they were completely fine with it and you feel comfortable. I have seen the reviews of others on yelp and TripAdvisor crying about plastic wine glasses. You are SITTING ON TOP OF STONE. the tables are nice bistro table and I can see how easily they wobble because of the small cobblestone and things fall. These are really nice glasses that are plastic but you could not tell unless you touch them. Same glasses the Waldorf-Astoria in Disney world Florida use and it's a 5 star resort that very high end. We had some homemade chips and finger food sandwiches which were good. Didn't get any real food but to be honest, we were only here for some vino and drinks. Come and enjoy! read more
