I want to be fair about how this dealer operates because I don't feel like they "got me." Their advertised vehicle prices are very aggressive, and that's what gets people in the door. They make some of their profit through the add-ons offered during the purchase process. I understand why some buyers don't like that approach, but personally I looked at the entire deal. My advice is simple: do your homework, negotiate the add-ons, understand exactly what you're paying for, and decide whether those products have value for you. Some of them can actually be useful if you take advantage of what they cover. If you're expecting the advertised price with absolutely no extras, especially on a cash deal, this dealer might not be the right fit for you. They're a business and obviously have to make money somewhere. For me, what mattered was the final numbers. I negotiated, got a Wagoneer I really like, and still feel I got a good deal. I paid for the tire package, extended warranty package for all electrical issues plus motor that was never filed a prepaid maintenance program that only got entered when I went in for a tire repair/replacement due to a flat tire. I only found out I had paid for services that wasn't delivered 4 and a half months later when I called corporate and they told me my vehicle service agreement hadn't been filed they had no clue of what I was talking about so I paid for something that I did not receive. Beach City Toyota took $4,000 and never did anything with it so basically they stole from me. They said why didn't you read the contract. When you sign for a car they basically sit you at a table they tell you what you're signing for and give you the square to sign saying this is what we agreed on right and then they give you a flash drive well when you get home you open the flash drive and what you agreed upon is totally different from what was said at the time assigning. Now supposedly the gentleman/ scammer that did my paperwork no longer works there and I'm being gaslighted by the person who took his place. All I want is what I paid for what I was told I was paying for tire package, the Platinum vehicle service agreement and and my prepaid maintenance program by (NOEL). I believe I was taking advantage of because I was a single woman there with my daughter who witnessed this full conversation and signing of contract. I hope that people will read this before doing business with Beach City Toyota get the paperwork and read the contract that they are actually wanting you to sign for before signing at the table because what they say and what they put on paper are/is two different things. After being loyal customers and referring so many people to this dealership over the years, we expected much better communication, transparency, and customer service. Extremely Poor Service and Mishandling of My Vehicle Purchase…read more I have never experienced such a level of incompetence and lack of accountability when purchasing a vehicle. I purchased my Hyundai on August 20, 2026, and the experience has been nothing short of unacceptable. The salesperson, finance manager, and general manager all quit the days after my purchase, and as a result, no one processed my contract. I traded in my BMW as part of the transaction, and because the dealership failed to properly process the paperwork and account for the trade-in, my BMW lease went into default. No one at Hyundai could tell me what had happened to my vehicle or provide any meaningful answers. Despite making multiple calls, no one returned my calls or took responsibility for resolving the situation. I ultimately had to take time off work on three separate days just to get this matter addressed. It was only after the dealership brought in a finance manager from another location that progress was finally made. My contract was not processed until September 25, 2026, more than a month after I purchased the vehicle. The BMW was finally located a few days later. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. When I attempted to establish my online account to make my next payment, I discovered that someone had entered my email address incorrectly into the Hyundai system. As of October 20, 2026, I am still unable to create my account because the customer service department claims it does not have access to correct my email address. How is it possible that a dealership can sell a vehicle, fail to process the contract for more than a month, mishandle a trade-in to the point that a customer's lease goes into default, and then be unable to correct a simple data-entry error that prevents the customer from managing their account and making payments? The amount of time, frustration, and disruption this dealership has caused is absolutely unreasonable. I have had to repeatedly chase down employees, take time away from work, and deal with consequences that should never have occurred in the first place. I purchased a vehicle expecting a professional and straightforward transaction. Instead, I have spent two months dealing with administrative failures, a mishandled trade-in, a lease default issue, unreturned calls, and an online account I still cannot access. I expect the dealership's management to take immediate ownership of this situation, correct my email address, ensure I can access my account and make payments without further complications, and address the serious inconvenience and disruption this experience has caused. This is not the level of service a customer should ever have to endure, and I expect a prompt, meaningful resolution rather than another round of unanswered calls and excuses.
