I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!! BEWARE!!! AVOID!!! TELLING THE TRUTH and putting in your contract what was agreed and paid for would help. I paid for the tire package, extended warranty package for all electrical issues plus motor that was never filed a prepaid maintenance program that only got entered when I went in for a tire repair/replacement due to a flat tire. I only found out I had paid for services that wasn't delivered 4 and a half months later when I called corporate and they told me my vehicle service agreement hadn't been filed they had no clue of what I was talking about so I paid for something that I did not receive. Beach City Toyota took $4,000 and never did anything with it so basically they stole from me. They said why didn't you read the contract. When you sign for a car they basically sit you at a table they tell you what you're signing for and give you the square to sign saying this is what we agreed on right and then they give you a flash drive well when you get home you open the flash drive and what you agreed upon is totally different from what was said at the time assigning. Now supposedly the gentleman/ scammer that did my paperwork no longer works there and I'm being gaslighted by the person who took his place. All I want is what I paid for what I was told I was paying for tire package, the Platinum vehicle service agreement and and my prepaid maintenance program by (NOEL). I believe I was taking advantage of because I was a single woman there with my daughter who witnessed this full conversation and signing of contract. I hope that people will read this before doing business with Beach City Toyota get the paperwork and read the contract that they are actually wanting you to sign for before signing at the table because what they say and what they put on paper are/is two different things. I will continue to have issues with Beach City Toyota until 1 they fulfill the contract that was told but not put in writing to me or give me my money/ full refund back so I could do it elsewhere. Didn't even get the salesman's name, that's how short the trip was. Salesman watched me get out of my TRD PRO and immediately began telling me about "special" TRD paint that's only for each year... big swing and miss trying to run that game not recognizing what i just stepped out of. The service advisor Justin Dinh. He's courteous and greets me. I drop off the keys with him and he asks me to have a seat at his desk. He comes over and we discuss how I am a new customer. He proceeded to enter in all my information. I ask what oil specials they have and he says there on the website (so nice of him, huh?). So I go to the website and look up oils changes. I mention the price and he says oh you have a V8 so that price doesn't apply. Ehh okay whatever... I get my vehicle serviced and the service technician Danny sends me a video of my vehicle and what issues they found. (Very cool) I was impressed with this. Looks like my vehicle is ready. Another service advisor greets me and proceeds to give me the news and what are my options. His name is Dustin Nguyen. Pleasant fellow, we discuss the vehicle a bit and gives me a quote of the estimated repairs. I pay and well on my way. ON MY DRIVE HOME I see a billboard that says FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS GET 19.99 OIL CHANGE. So I call Justin and ask if I can get the first time customer discount. He says No, not unless I ask for the special when I checked in. SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT, YOU MUST ASK FOR THE DISCOUNT. After a months of looking for a Tundra and dealing with the shadiest garbage dealerships who think we're all idiots so they add on $5000 in extra BS fee's when you're ready to buy, I found Beach Cities. Easiest purchase I've ever had. James sent me the total costs, I removed the add on's I didn't want and I showed up 2 days later to write a check and pick up my new girl. Easy. Once I got home I noticed a chip in the windshield way up at the top hidden by the tint around the camera. I messaged James right away and he setup an appointment for me without hesitation to get it filled. I went in at the allotted time and they told me they could not fix the windshield. The chip was covering the camera and if they tried to fill it, it would block the camera view. James wasn't there so I walked up to the Sales manager Wilmer and explain the situation. He immediately wrote up a slip to replace the entire windshield, apologized for the inconvenience, shook my hand and took care of this situation like a mafia boss G. And under Civil Code §1770(a)(29) (SB 478), mandatory fees must be included upfront -- not slipped in afterward. Beach Cities Toyota in Westminster - Dishonest, Unprofessional, and Refuses to Stand Behind Toyota Warranty I purchased a brand new 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander from Beach Cities Toyota in Westminster, CA, and after only 700 miles, the seat covers started tearing along the perforated seams. Here's what happened: * I've had to bring the vehicle in 5 times for the same issue. * The upholstery technician, Adam, admitted this is a design flaw with the leather seats. He explained that synthetic has stretch but perforated leather does not, and said the tearing would continue even after repair. He even admitted he sewed the holes back together instead of fixing the root issue. * The so-called "repair" looked worse than the original damage. * Despite not being present for the assessment, Service Manager Michael H told Toyota reps a different story. After only a few minutes of inspection, Toyota and Mike H blamed the issue on the child seat anchor, even though another seat with no child seat installed has the exact same tearing. * When I asked why a "family SUV" can't handle a standard child seat anchor, Mike H dodged responsibility and gave a ridiculous response that he "legally can't tell me how tight to latch a car seat." This dealership's service department (Mike H, Ryan, Shawn, and Adam) refuses to take accountability. They damaged my brand new vehicle, denied responsibility, and are now trying to shift blame onto the customer. If Toyota is saying their seats will rip under normal child seat use, then they've completely misrepresented this vehicle as family-friendly. The problems don't stop at service: Finance (Sergio) was pushy, rude, and tried to force unnecessary add-ons with a scammy attitude. If you refused, he made sure he let you know and tried to bully you in any other possible way. The only decent people I worked with were Paul and Sam in sales, but the rest of the dealership is a nightmare. Warning to families: If you're considering buying a Toyota here, especially a Grand Highlander, think twice. I bought a used car there in March. Granted, the actual process was fairly easy and quick. I'll give them that. 1. The finance guy told me that Capital One (where i got my auto loan) required i buy a warranty since the car is older (2019). I had no way to verify this but wanted a warranty anyway so i agreed. I got a call from Capital One the next week to complete everything on their end and they informed me that's a lie. 2. My car is now having a mechanical issue, and i realized i was never sent any paperwork about my warranty. It took me 3 separate phone calls to get anyone to answer the phone and send me info about a product they cornered me into buying. 3. Last night my car wouldn't start. Called AAA, the battery needed to be changed plus the battery terminal was loose. I watched as the AAA tech undid the battery and discovered someone had shoved a BOBBY PIN in between the battery terminal and connector to fill the gap. I'm not saying the dealership did this, but it indicates to me that they didn't even look under the hood when they received the car. 4. While finishing my financing paperwork the day i bought the car, the salesman that was working with me told me he was going to have it washed for me and that was clearly a lie. Not a huge deal but why go out of your way to say that if it's not true. 5. Bought the car in March, when i got my dmv paperwork the registration says it started in January? Pretty weird. anyways. While I was given the initial price, I naturally wanted to negotiate the dealer add-ons, as I neither wanted nor needed them. However, I was repeatedly told, "This comes standard with any vehicle we sell here." Any attempt to discuss costs or express dissatisfaction was met with dismissive responses like, "This is a popular car--you don't have to take it." It became clear that they believed the car would sell itself and had no interest in earning my business. Communication was another major issue. Trying to get a response from my salesperson was very difficult--I called, left messages, emailed at different times, and rarely got a reply. I had to catch him at the right time just to get an update. Despite the lackluster experience, I moved forward, hoping the process would improve once the vehicle arrived. It only got worse. Once the car was on-site, I received a call saying, "You have 48 hours to pick it up, or we'll give it to the next person in line." The pressure was on. I asked what I could do to speed up the in-person process, sent over the requested paperwork in advance, yet still spent three hours at the dealership finalizing the purchase. And then came the bait and switch. As we went through the purchase agreement, I noticed the price had increased by $500 from the original email. When questioned, they claimed, "This vehicle isn't part of the Costco program, so we did you a favor by lowering the price, but we added $500 due to its popularity." Excuse me?! I want to call out a salesman named Henry at this dealership. I came in last Wednesday to look at a car. I actually bought a car here two months ago and had a decent experience -- prices were good, so I came back. Big mistake. Henry was extremely rude and disrespectful. After some negotiating, he started acting like we couldn't afford the car and were just wasting his time. He's around my dad's age, and we were being polite the whole time, but he had zero professionalism and definitely didn't deserve any respect back. I've bought five cars before, so I know how dealerships work. Henry tried to throw in a bunch of ridiculous fees I've never seen before. I get that salespeople try to upsell, but this was just shady. Worst part was his attitude. He talked down to us, cut me off every time I tried to say something, and used words no customer should ever hear. Straight up rude. We still ended up buying the car after he agreed to remove the BS fees, but this guy made the whole process frustrating and disrespectful. If you go to this dealership, avoid Henry. Not worth the headache. read more

Very dishonest. Sold me a car they claimed was gold certified but it had damages and terrible overspray. They also snuck extra add on charges I never consented to. Poor experience, I would avoid Beach Cities Toyota entirely. Do yourself the favor and go somewhere else. read more
