A great little spot with nice ambiance and delicious food. My boyfriend and I came here last night (1/1/22) and grabbed a bite while we waited for our friends to join us. We started off with the quesadilla appetizer which was absolutely incredible, but incredibly overpriced. Four bite sized quesadillas with a side of sour cream and supposedly guac on the inside but there was hardly any on there to taste. I would say they shouldn't be priced more than $8 max for the portion you get, but we paid over $10! Next my boyfriend got the barbecue wings with an upgraded side of fries for an extra $1.50. -Really? For the amount that you're getting they shouldn't be charging extra. I got the caesar salad with blackened chicken which was very delicious. When it was time for us to get our check we had the waiter split it down the middle. Good thing I looked at the receipt to see that he charged my boyfriends card twice and not mine. He did not acknowledge us for the rest of the time we were there or apologize for his mistake. -Aside from this, we had a great time and the food was wonderful but definitely overpriced. read more

Its a shame i thought i was gonna have good things to say but im sorry i don't. First of all the service Sucks and il say that based off my waitress. Ok for starters me and my Friend was sitting and waiting for any waiter to acknowledge us. We was sitting and waiting about 25 mins no drinks no greeting or nothing then about 35mins waitress came and her energy was off and it seemed like she hated her job therefore her service was wack. I was about to walk out just as i was about to walk out after waiting for now 45 mins she came with our order and it was wrong i was so frustrated i was like whatever the wings was good but she gave me the wrong flavor she never ask us about ordering entries or ask us if we wanted refills I will never ever again attend this restaurant it had so much potential but the wrong people working there. read more

On the good side, the service was prompt and food was quite good. I particularly liked my roast beef. My wife, an oenophile, didn't have high expectations, but she ordered a second glass of their house red, something she rarely does in this sort of establishment. While I recognize it is a sports bar (even though there are only six TVs), the noise level was very high, coming not from fans but from patrons whose favorite means of communications seemed to be a yell. read more

Man it was such a nice place to go close to my house enjoyed it people are friendly. We like the waiter she was good and friendly kind of biased but it's OK. There's lots of people the time to wait wasn't too bad plus there's other stuff around so if you had a way you can leave for a little bit in walking distance be in another store so it was like a shopping center. Our food tasted decent. The cheesesteak flatbread was OK that you didn't taste that well. The nachos were overdone with lettuce and the guacamole was starting to get brown maybe didn't have enough lemon juice. Not very many selections of juices a bunch of soda and stuff. Good atmosphere that people look happier but I was chilling they had a nice booths. The chili wings were pretty good not enough blue cheese but the way they helped us out with that and got us more. How definitely go back I just don't drink they had a big beer selection and different varieties of food. There were TVs everywhere so that was pretty good specially for a game or a fight or something. It was open so there's a lot of seating and stuff it's very spacious in there. This was my first and last time coming here on June 21, 2021. Needless to say, it wasn't a great first experience. We decided to try a new place for my birthday and once we got into the restaurant we were greeted and seated right away. It was believed to be a good first impression! Our waitress took our drink orders. The service was fast from the bar. Then, the waitress takes our appetizer and dinner orders. We ordered the 7-layered dip appetizer. A pulled pork sandwich. And a pastrami sandwich. This was it. We watched her tend to the 3 other tables she was waiting on. She went back and forth to them and never once asked us how our drinks were. She never gave us an update on when our food would come out. She never acknowledged us after taking our order. Approximately 30 minutes later she brings out our sandwiches. I ask about the missing appetizer and she asks if we wanted it. She totally forgot to place the appetizer. She did not apologize. She did not take responsibility or hold herself accountable. The quality of food was on point but the service was absolutely horrible. We planned on ordering 2 more drinks from the bar & some dessert. We would have easily ordered $30+ worth of food and drinks but decided against it after seeing her lack of customer service throughout the night. To top it off, we noticed a discrepancy in the price of the beer on the menu and the price they put on the receipt. We asked her about it and she couldn't have cared less. We pointed out the mistake and she acted as if we made it up. Then, she blamed it on the computer system they use to enter orders. It was clear to us that she did not give a crap. I'll be spending my next birthday elsewhere. *I gave 2/5 stars because the food was delicious. The use of the word Navajo on the menu twice (Navajo Nachos & Navajo Tacos) is offensive, inaccurate and a trademark violation. The word Navajo is trademarked by the Navajo Nation who has sued companies who've used their name & won. The items on the menu could easily be changed. If Shellhammer's has earned the permission of the Navajo Nation to use their name to sell food I'd love to be corrected. In addition the use of the word is offensive seeing as how the indigenous peoples of this country have been murdered, exploited, oppressed & ignored while other groups profit off of their marginalization. Fabulous happy hour specials, both drinks and food, ordered the bbq chicken quesadilla on Owen the bartender's suggestion, regular menu size portion, regular size tortilla but huge on flavor and just the right size. Only$6. Very friendly crowd, made me feel like a regular. Ask about the Shellhammers card. Super easy to use. So far, highly recommended. Just my opinion. I absolutely love this little spot and it's my best friends and I's go to girl's meal place!! It's a small restaurant tucked away in a large strip mall that can easily be misssed. They have an adorable outside covered patio dining area they recently added, and their staff are always so personable and attentive. Their Thai chili calamari and key west tuna bite appetizers are a must try. Their calamari are super crispy with a almost cornmeal light type of coating and delicious sweet/spicy dipping sauce. For the tuna bites, you get to choose your preferred cooked temperature so either side of the spectrum can enjoy them and their mustard base dipping sauce it a nice addition of acidity. My two favorite dinners are the key west Caesar salad and the chicken Navajo tacos. The Caesar salad has large juicy shrimps on top with a cold base of romaine, seasoned spiral noddles and everything mixed together with the dressing is perfection!! Their chicken tacos come on nice fluffy flour tortillas and loaded with toppings, the beans are smooth and rich and the rice is seasoned just right. All of their mixed drinks are great and you never doubt if the liquor is in there. Weather you're getting dinner with friends/family or just looking to get some drinks and hang out this is the perfect place. They offer specials and good happy hour specials during the week and they offer delivery through most of the apps on our phones. I absolutely love this place! This is my favorite place to go after work and unwind. The food is as good as it gets for a bar type location. The burgers are great and don't pass up the chicken fingers, yum!!! Drinks are reasonably priced and the severs are friendly, personable and attentive. I think I will simply accept that Delaware is filled with surprises; here rests another great place in a typical suburban plaza. The interior, as best as I can describe, is a contemporary pub. Smooth wooden finishes with a nice ambient fluorescent lighting. There is ample seating from the bar, high top tables, and booths. Even the bathrooms are inviting. You'll feel comfortable in here. The service was a bit disappointing and I would hate to give negative reviews for service of one visit, but our waiter was crap. I get this is a pub style restaurant, but if you are also offering a dining experience, have a waiter that has a memory span longer than that of a fruit fly. We had to constantly ask for water, menus, silverware, our check, water, menus, silverware, our check, our check... get it? The food was redeeming for service and I had almost forgotten about how crappy our waiter was until he came back without my water. I had ordered the Jambalaya, which in the back of my mind could have been risky at a pub. To my surprise, it was delicious, spicy and never got boring. Every bite was a different experience between the chicken, shrimp, and Andouille sausage. The spiciness of this dish I would rank 7/10. It doesn't linger for too long, but it'll make you feel warm and leave your tongue with a nice tingle. I would recommend this dish, unfortunately I had forgotten to take my food home after I had boxed it up, bummer. Oh well, more reason to come back. The drink selection is fantastic. They offer a large list of various beers, mixed drinks and a very sweet selection of martinis. My only disappointment was their false advertising of having Southern Tier's Pumking. It was listed at the bar, but no longer available. So many dreams crushed that night. But redemption was earned with so many beers to choose from. Went to this place last night. This is our second visit in a few months. First time was OK. This time, not so much. Service was extremely slow. Took forever to get drinks. Our appetizer actually came out before the drinks. I saw Navajo taco on the menu, and ordered it. I guess I should have read the description. A Navajo taco is actually a specific dish. And this wasn't it. When it came out, I was so disappointed that I sent it back. It wasn't what I ordered. Look, I get that you are trying to change-up your menu, but don't call something that is clearly not that by a name. There wasn't actually one thing on the dish I was served resembled a Navajo taco, except maybe the lettuce. And naming a dish something it isn't after an indigenous people, and then making a profit on it, smacks of cultural appropriation. A manager or someone dealt with me on this. So, after I sent back my meal, I ordered a burger, cooked medium rare. After about 20 minutes, it came out, well-done. The fries were ice-cold. My husband had been finished his meal for about 5 minutes, so I didn't want to make a fuss, so I ate about 1/4 of the burger. Also waited about 25 minutes for a second glass drink. Ordered the Baja Turkey burger and you could tell it was a frozen burger cooked to order. The menu advertised Focaccia bread but it was more of a dense plain white sandwich roll. Seasoned fries were also advertised which in contrary received plain soggy French fries with no taste whatsoever. This was a case of misrepresentation of a menu item. This is one of my daughter's favorite hangouts close to her apartment in Delaware. We were there over the holidays and she suggested we try it for a late night food outing. Located in a strip shopping center the interior feels like a neighborhood local bar, dark walls, nice long wooden bar, ample seating and tables and a busy local crowd. When we were looking to decide what to get the waiter mentioned their specials. They pretty much have great deals on their bar food and drinks every night of the week. We ended up getting the chicken quesadillas, huge order of nachos, seared tuna salad, prime dip and the California turkey burger. My only complaint would be more meat on the nachos and quesadillas. Good selection of brews and a full bar. It's a great place to get a drink, bar food with friends, see a game on the many screens and chill. I recommend it! read more

Absolutely unreal. I was harassed by a 60 year old man as a 22 year female. I went outside to try and avoid him and the bartender came outside told me i was trying to 'run away from my tab' when i absolutely was not'. I wanted to take a brake from a harassment complaint i made about the older gentleman. Then when i called to say it's totally inappropriate that I was harassed by a man to buy 4 shots because he made it seem like he was paying they put it on my tab. A friend found this place on Yelp as a spot to meet on my drive back to DC from NJ. The location was incredibly convenient to hop in and off the highway. The place was relatively full and lively. We sat at a table at first but after no attention, moved to the bar. Service at the bar was great. We decided to split the quesadilla. They split it in the back which was really nice. It was tasty and the tortilla cooked perfectly- crunchy and not greasy. Each "half" was two large pieces. Each half portion could easily have been a meal. read more

We are just stopping in this town while traveling to the beaches along route 1. I was very happy with my experience here. Our waitress was attentive and nice and the food served was delish. I got a regular green salad (large, fresh vegetables, great dressing) and we shared nachos and wings. So much food! It fed 4 very hungry people and we still had a lot leftover. This review is for an order I received via Uber eats - we had a long drive in the day and ordered a couple meals to be delivered to our hotel around midnight as we were arriving so we wouldn't have to wait long to have some food. The order came super quick, and ended up arriving the same time as us, which was amazing. We ordered Baja Turkey Burgers, one with sweet potato fries and one with regular - the bill was around $40 which was ridiculous, but everything is more pricey on Uber Eats, and it was super late so we didn't mind. The burgers were pretty tasty and fresh and arrived in great form, we hadn't eaten all day and they certainly hit the spot. The fries left something to be desired, particularly the sweet potato fries which we didn't end up eating, though we paid $3-4 extra for (again, Uber Eats pricing). It could be the fries just didn't travel well, so it is what it is, and aside from that we were pretty pleased. I would happily try again if in the area! 3.5* I actually ended up going here twice during my trip to Delaware. Mainly cause It was across the street from the hotel. They really do have AMAZING food. My friends and I each ordered different items that we wouldn't normally get and we all loved our orders. Not the cleanest, but the environment is fun and laid back and it's super chill. The waitresses/bartenders were really short with me and not very friendly that night. And it took over an HOUR just to get the food. I came back the next day to study, their free WiFi was very efficient, and the waitress I got that day was very friendly. Overall, I would recommend stopping by for the food if you don't mind a wait, and if you aren't a clean freak. read more

Horrendous service or lack thereof. I met a few friends there Friday night and there was a decent amount of people but the service at the bar was inexcusable. It took me 20 minutes (no exaggeration) to flag the bartender down even though there were two of them who stopped and took drink orders for multiple people around me some of which actually showed up After me. I also watched the two bartenders chatting it up at the left end of the bar for minutes at a time while the bar patrons grumbled about drinks taking too long or food orders not being placed. I myself did not order food, mostly because of how slow and unorganized the bartenders were but also because it seems the menu has shrank quite a bit while the prices have definitely soared. If you're willing to spend $17 for fajitas and wait 20+ minutes to put your drink order in this is definitely the place to go! read more

Really good local spot. Casual atmosphere. Very popular for Happy Hour. Don't be worried if the bar seems too crowded when you first come in the door. The restaurant seating opens up past the bar towards the back and the hostess does a great job getting people seated. Came here for the first time in a couple years. I forgot how much I liked this place. Great beer selection, excellent food options. I had the catfish po'boy, it was definitely delicious. It has a more upscale vibe than a typical gastro pub. It's in an otherwise dead shopping center but definitely worth making the trip. I highly recommend checking it out. read more

We didn't expect to end up here. It seemed pretentious and overpriced. Nevertheless, we had a fine dinner, with very good service. It was more expensive than I wanted, but it was the only place in the neighborhood that had a decent full bar and didn't seem cheap. For the price I would have liked hand-cut fries, and anchovies available on the Cæsar Salad. It isn't the price that is the problem, but the details. We probably won't come back to this hotel, and so going out of our way to visit this strip mall is highly unlikely. If, however, you are nearby, do go. Support these folks.
