This place has a fun vibe and was packed when I went with my dad. I would probably return just for some of the local beers on tap and the relaxed atmosphere but the food was just so-so. My dad had a macaroni dish and was pretty excited about it but it was pretty average. I ordered a veggie burger and I have no idea what they did to it, but I couldn't even bite through it. I had the waiter try to push a fork into it, and he couldn't. They were cool about it and took it away without charging me but didn't really go the extra mile to help me find something else to eat from the menu. Not a real vegetarian friendly place, which is fine, but for that reason I probably won't go back for dinner but would definitely go back for a pint or two. read more

Just ate there today and thoroughly enjoyed a Burger Deluxe with bacon and homemade chips. I have eaten at this Hops a number of times in the past several years and have always felt that I received good value. And the service staff are friendly and make it a point to always check on their customers many times after serving the food. A very nice place that I recommend. read more

Skip The Rock and eat here. Better food and service. My favorites are the edamame as a simple snack after playing a soccer game at the Southridge fields or their mac and cheese for a dinner option. Also can't go wrong with the pineapple mojito! read more

Hop Jack's is a fun, family-friendly place. Nice to have another option in South Kennewick! Pros: *Friendly staff and good service *Great kid's menu, the grilled cheese was better than my adult entree! Yum! *Happy hour has some great drink and food specials *Kid-friendly, clean booster seats!! Cons: *My chicken noodle soup had a funky metallic taste. Maybe it was overly salty? I couldn't eat more than 2 bites of it. read more

Love this location. I am always greeted with a smile and most of the staff there is super friendly. The burgers are honestly the only thing I've ever ordered there, but if it's not broke, don't fix it! They also have a pretty good selection of local drafts, local wines, and Candice always makes excellent cocktails! I generally stick with the beers, it's the only place in town that serves their drafts out of a frozen tap-head. They also switch any used beer glass out for a frozen glass, even if you order a pitcher. I've always loved that read more

We had such a great meal here. My mom, daughter and I came in for some girl time and it was really busy and yet we received really great service. Our food came and it was perfectly cooked, hot and delicious. I had the Ashley burger which was French dip sandwich meets burger! Soo good! My daughter had the chicken fingers and fries and my mom has the Swiss mushroom burger. She wasn't planning on eating the whole thing but couldn't stop. I also love their bottomless lemonades. Huckleberry is my favorite but I also tried the pineapple lemonade for my refill and it was delish too. We will definitely be back here after our experience. read more

Overpriced for the quality of food and portions are small. Great location and nice atmosphere. Service is friendly. read more

We love coming here! The beer is so cold and the service is ALWAYS on point. I recognize some of the servers and management from the Red Robin ( which is not at all what it used to be! ) The grilled cheese sammies, burgers, and Mac and cheese are all worth it. read more

This place has a much lower review than it should. The staff were both friendly and accommodating. They sat us, took our order, and served the food promptly. The food was excellent and they brought us anything additional we asked for. read more

TRIPLE THREAT SPICY CHICKEN SANDWICH One of my favorite chicken sandwiches ever! It is so delicious and flavorful. I've tried the shrimp po boy which is amazing as well. I've tried we they're burgers, my favorite one being the one with cream cheese, it's amazing! We love this place and go frequently, everybody we've invited here had also loved it and said they would come back. read more

most bland and generic food I've had in a decade. ordered the "signature" chicken salad and it tasted like it fell directly off the back of a sysco truck. actually questioned whether I was losing my sense of smell/taste. read more

This was our first visit to the new Hop Jack's in Kennewick. I've found them decent over in the Puget Sound area, so I recommended to my Tri-Cities family that we go there for dinner. I was not disappointed. The food was good. I have the spicy chicken and cheese sandwich and it was excellent! The server was great! She knew the menu, admitted she didn't know beer but then asked the bartender and gave me some tastes. The beer I chose was excellent (I admit I've had it before); Topcutter by Bale Breaker in Yakima. All in all a very nice night out. read more

Not sure why they changed their name, I liked Hop Jacks better. Regardless, the food and service is always great. The mac n cheese is a cant miss, as is the shrimp po boy. Their flavored lemonades are great too, and tjey always habeva goodcselection of seasonal beers on tap. read more

Sadly I have to give them a 2 star for the service on a to go order. I ordered 2 mains dishes and one appetizer. I then received a call when the food was supposed to be done, to notify me they were out of the appetizer I ordered. I then asked if the main dishes were done and they said yes. I changed the appetizer, all the while the main dishes are sitting under a heating lamp waiting for the appetizer. They should have known the appetizer was out when the order came in and promptly gave me a call to allow me to change it, instead of fixing the mains to sit while the appetizer is being made. I'm going to go ahead and chalk this up to poor communication at the restaurant itself and/or the staff working this evening. I'm now hesitant to order online so that my food doesn't sit there and get mushy and/or cold read more

Service, service, service! Was there last week and order was very slow. They are new and are doing a great job, food was great but service was incredible!!!! Will return soon, and am sure they will get the fifth star. read more

This is a chain restaurant that tries to be the neighborhood hangout, a la Applebee's or TGI Friday's. It's not a bad effort, but they're still a little too corporate to have a truly local atmosphere. The menu is elevated bar food: lots of burgers, variations of mac and cheese, hot deli and barbecue sandwiches, and a LOT of appetizers. I imagine this is to appeal to folks who stop in mainly to drink and need something to soak up the booze. That said, it's pretty good bar food. The burgers are hot and fresh, and the veggies on them are crisp. Portions run medium-large. I've had the barbecue mac and cheese. It was okay, but not earth-shaking. The burgers I've had were good, though not great. My personal favorite is the shrimp po' boy, a hot sandwich stuffed with breaded fried shrimp. Service has been prompt and usually courteous. I came in one afternoon when the place was mostly empty, and the hostess wanted to put me in a booth at the window. I asked for a table that was a little less public. She acted somewhat put out by this, and it seemed like it took a long time for a server to take my order. Sorry to have offended you. Hop Jacks has one practice that I find confusing. Standard practice in the industry is to deliver the check on a tray or in a folder when the intent is to give your credit card or money to the server. They then make change or run the card and bring the receipt back for a signature. Hop Jacks' servers just put the check on the table, which I have always assumed means "Pay the bill at the cashier." When I've taken the bill to the host station to pay, they've been confused and have to ask me where I was sitting and what I ordered (despite that information being on the check). If Hop Jacks isn't going to spring for a check tray or folders, then at least have the server say, "I'll be your cashier" when they drop off the bill. read more

Great service. Their food was good. I had the southwest burger and loved it. My hubby had their home label IPA and said it was great.

The food was amazing and the server was very friendly/professional. I ordered the boneless chicken strips and tempura shrimp. The strawberry lemonade was also very good. read more

Good food and ok service, very loud and open sports bar themed, not at all quiet and peaceful. We where sat next to 2 other smaller groups one-8 and one-4. The rest of the place was empty. It would have been nice to be separated just for noise level alone. read more

I'm not a burger girl and the menu was full of burgers, but I love a good french dip, which they had. My french dip was delicious. At other restaurants the beef can be fatty, tough and flavorless. Not so here. It was medium rare (perfect), thinly sliced, lean, flavorful and piled so high I had to take some off just to get my mouth around the sandwich. It was served on a large ciabatta roll that refused to get mushy when dipped in the au jus. (That's a good thing.) The au jus was beefy and rich and not overly salty. There was a horse radish dipping sauce that was fine, but not for me. My fries were good. My friend had the fried shrimp and fries. They were AMAZING. I love french dips with a capital L O V E, but after tasting one of his shrimps I wanted to dive into his plate. Wow! I never thought I'd like deep fried shrimp so much. The batter was delicious, the shrimp was perfectly cooked and the cocktail sauce was tangy, spicy and sweet and everything cocktail sauce perfect. Our waitress was a little sidetracked and we barely saw her and I would've liked a refill on my coffee, but for the most part the service was okay. Nice atmosphere, comfortable booths, good food. read more

Stopped in for lunch today and was very impressed with the extra cleaning measures in place due to COVID-19. You could smell cleaner when you walked into the restaurant even. Great food as always and wanted to give a shout out for stepping up the cleaning measures! read more

Terrible service. Brought us wrong drink 5 times... after stating we had 5 people they seated us for 3. I ordered a salad and instead of ranch I got horse radish as my dressing. I'm not sure why this one is so different from the one on Queensgate. read more

Less than average and overpriced!! 3 strikes and you're out! Remember that we are in the Tri-Cities, a culinary desert. This is our 3rd visit to Hop Jacks and it will be the last. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich, which used French toast for the bread because I was in a breakfast mood but they don't serve breakfast Mon thru Fri. It was just okay, but for the price they charged, I felt ripped off. My husband had a salad which was also overpriced for the size and also.....just okay. read more

We haven't been back for quite a while and decided to go last night. I ordered a burger, MEDIUM, and told the waitress medium was important. Our food came, the burger was cremated. Sent it back, manager came over, told me it would be remade in 5 minutes. Waitress said manager was going to give me half off. Didn't really care, cared more about getting my food before hubby finished his. The burger came back, more cremated. The manager said they know the temperature to cook it medium, they but must have smashed it down to get it ready faster. Really?! Perhaps the problem was more like the patty was literally thinner than a McD's burger to begin with. No charge. Choked down half. Wish I would have taken a picture. I gave this one star because waitress was so nice and apologetic and the ineptitude of the cook and manager were not her fault. We will be back. NEVER. read more

This is a long overdue review but here it is......I have never been more pleased with any other restaurant than Hop Jack's. Oh my! The jalapeno cream cheese burger on Texas Toast is my new foodie love. Just the right amount of cream cheese and chopped jalapenos in the center of a thick tasty burger. The caramelized onions and bacon slices on top make for a very filling burger, but I eat half and save half. It's even good reheated. I've had their teriyaki burger and their mushroom burger, too, and all are delicious. They have the best tater tots around. Good appetizers, good salads, and terrific service! Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. Waited for over an hour to be seated and had 2 groups ahead of us get sat down. I recommend NEVER going to this place. Thankfully I had a gift card so I didn't actually waste any real money read more

Beer was great. BLT and A sandwich was OK but lacked a good quantity of bacon and avocado. Fries were soggy.

Poor Service. I was seated quickly next to the hostess station. The waitress brought water to the table and then spilled it on me. She then went to the hostess station to chit chat. 15 minutes later she still had not come by to take our order so we left. I was not impressed with the beer menu. For a place named hop jacks you would think they would have more beer to choose from. I will not be back. I will stick with Red Robin and Bob read more

Nice and fairly attentive staff. That's it. The food is actually fairly disgusting. I have eaten here more than once trying to give them a chance. But the last time was the final straw. I ordered a hamburger well done with no tomato and no lettuce. It was not well done, and had the fixings that I had specifically asked not to have. In addition, it had guacamole smeared across the top of the bun. Very unappealing to say the least. I will not be back. read more

The french fries were not good. Okay food. Best part was nice cold beer. Staff was okay. Felt very scripted. Not the customer service I enjoy and expected better food. read more

I have tried this hop jacks a couple times now and have horrible food and service each time. Last time was with our group of like 8 and they messed up numerous orders, the food was blah and the salad was like 3 pieces of lettuce. This time I ordered a grilled cheese, it sounded good. It took 30+ minutes to get a grilled cheese which was just some toast with pieces of cheese on in that weren't melted, it also said it had avocado and tomato on it which the avocado was barely put on it. Also came with a side of salsa which didn't come on the plate at all. I'm done giving this place the benefit of the doubt, especially when EVERYTIME they aren't busy but the service to get anything even water takes forever! No thank you to Hop Jacks, go across the street to bobs and get some better food and service! You would think after speaking to the manager on two different occasions to hop jacks and complaining that they would try to make things better and strive to give their customers great food and service. read more

Good burgers, definitely better than across the street at Bob's. Onion rings were cooked perfectly each time I have gotten them here. A little bit more than I normally feel like paying for a burger but they are super tasty, juicy, and have been cooked perfectly for me every time. (Order your burgers medium rare or if you have to medium not well done, why you gonna ask someone to cook all the flavor out of your burger?) Nice to have Hop Jacks as an option right down the street for when I'm in the mood for a good burger. read more

Pretty good. Great burgers. I took one star away because they ran out of wheat beer and the place is kind pricey.
