We came here because we were ignored when we went to The Rock in Kennewick and it was the best thing that could have happened. The food was amazing and our service was excellent. Went here twice. Food was just so so to me. By the name you would think it was more centered around craft brews. I don't get that impression. Maybe 5 on the menu that I was aware of. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. We got there and were immediately sat. We ordered 10 minutes later and about 3 minutes later received our mozzarella sticks. They were still cold almost frozen in the center. 5 minutes later they brought us new ones and they were still not warm enough. We had two sets of customers come in, sit and order AFTER us. The first set of people got their food before us, and paid before we even got our food. The second set as well got their food before us. All we had ordered was a salad and mac n cheese. We waited 45 minutes for our food and when we got our food we asked why there was such a wait and our server was rude, rolled her eyes and asked if we would like her to ask the kitchen. She left to ask the kitchen and we grabbed utensils to eat and THERE WAS FOOD ALL OVER OUR SILVERWARE THEY GAVE US UPON SEATING. When our waitress came back she simply said there was a mix up and so we asked for the manager and to go boxes. Our server got us boxes and dropped them on the table. She didn't say a word and walked away. We watched her tell the manager we were upset and he went outside and BUSSED A TABLE while ignoring us before 10 minutes later coming to our table to approach us. The customer service was so terrible other customers saw us waiting and asked bussers to help us. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever received and I can confidently say that this restaurant has lost my business for good. The manager, Kasey, has a seemingly lack of training and communication. Overall, this was the worst dinner experience I have ever had and I just wanted to have a dinner with my mom for mother's day. read more

Ordered $68 on tKe out and did not get 2 of the orders of tots. Had to go back to get them and there were about 15 tots in each box and they were over cooked. Talked to the manager he offered to refuse d some money. I told him no I just want the food we ordered to feed the family. Usually the food is good, but have noticed the portions of fries and tots are about half when you carry out. In this case more than half since we did not get 2 of the orders. read more

Great fish and chips! Four big pieces of cod with great flavor. Good coleslaw but could be a little larger serving.

First the food is great....service, not so much. Arrived for lunch (about 1:15). The place was moderately busy with plenty of empty tables as it was past the lunch rush. Wait for a few minutes before we were finally seated by Waiter #1. Waited about 10 minutes before someone finally came over (waitress #2 who clearly made it evident that she was filling in for someone) to take our drink order, keep in mind we had nothing but menus and no water. We placed our order to include a cup of fry sauce and bbq sauce, and drinks arrived about 5-7 minutes later. Food arrived about 20 minutes later from what appeared to be a manager, no sauces. We asked for a cup of fry sauce and BBQ sauce (second attempt). We never saw the manager again. We ate and drank our sodas, no one ever came by to refill. About half way through our meal waitress #3 came by and took our order for drink refills, we asked again for the sauces. We finished our meals just in time for the 2nd round of drinks to arrive, still no sauces. Not sure what the problem was, we have always had good food and service at the queesngate store. read more

This place has good, consistent food and service. Conveniently located across the street from the Hampton Inn, this has become my go to stop when returning home to portland. The food here is fabulous. I've been the Richland restaurant once before and this was my first time here. I'm not saying the food is beyond anything that I've ever had before, but it is delicious. I had a ceasar salad with chicken and it was yummy. I typically don't eat all my salads when I order them, but I finished all but one small bite. It came with flat bread but I didn't get the chance to eat because I was visiting with someone and it just became soggy in the dressing. I will definitely order it again and eat the bread first. :) read more

I have eaten here many times and have liked everything! Chicken Club Wrap, fries, burgers, fish tacos...Their fries are the BEST and their sauce is soooo good! I recommend asking for it. They call it onion ring sauce. I put it on my chicken club wrap as well. Highly recommend Hop Jacks! read more

Very friendly staff. Had mozzarella sticks which were barely warmed and not browned at all. Ordered steak cooked medium and fish and chips. After bringing food to the table waitress didn't return to table to see if all was well. I was not given fry sauce to dip my fries in and completed my meal before she returned. My friends steak was rare instead of medium. Again, after I had finished eating waitress returned and graciously took back the steak and replaced it with a new one. We also wanted to order additional drinks but couldn't because waitress never returned. Again very friendly but did not serve us or her employer well by not attending to checking to see if everything was cooked and delivered or to see if we wanted to make additional purchases. I ate at this location yesterday and it was horrible.....first thing my food was ready and it sat in the window for ten mins before somebody brought it to me server were reaching over it to grab there food....second thing when I did get my food it wasn't even hot do I asked for fresh fries and I watched the server grab a basket already sitting in the window....third thing my burger patty was ripped to pieces under the lettuce and cheese and when I asked about the burger the server told me it's cause there hand pressed I will NEVER EVER go back to this location the richland location is hands down a better restaurant read more

Went to Hop Jack's just to see what it was--barbecue? In Kennewick it sits across from a Bob's Beef and Brew and right next to a Rock Pizza place that features, duh, burgers, pizza, and ribs type stuff. So, this might be a beef overkill in one place. Service was indeed quick and friendly and non-territorial, meaning one lady took my order, another cleared my plate, another filled my water and others asked how things were going. BUT, all in all it was just another version of what Red Robin has mastered for many years. I had a thoroughly delicious mushroom burger at the outrageous price of $11.25! I just now looked up RR for their mushroom burger and it was $10.69. So, it's a coin flip. When did burgers break the $10 barrier? I was going to order a soft drink, but blanched when I saw the price at $2.89 for bottomless drink. I did order a small bowl of clam chowder and it was on my table in less than 3 minutes and it was good, but again at $4.50 a cup. Ouch. So with a tip, my lunchtime bill came to $20--nothing but water to drink. Back to a taco truck, I guess for a delicious fill-up for about $7 at lunch. read more

No hostess. They seem overwhelmed. Waiter was nice. Hamburger was COLD. Lemon drops are really good, BUT not enough drink for price. I guess your paying for a frozen glass. Mac and cheese is not very good at all. I think this place needs to figure out how to be properly run. I have been there 3 tumes and each time has been a disappointment. Usually go to the Hop Jack's in Queensgate but was out at Southridge and my husband and I went to this location for lunch. Odd that it was 12:30 and the place was nearly empty. The service was good but the utensils were covered in what looked like peanut butter. Ugh! They brought clean utensils and apologized. Then my husband ordered a burger and chips and it came with fries - no big deal. The burger was so sloppy and dripping for the size and thickness of the bun he had to eat it with a fork. I ordered the fish and chips and not nearly as good at the Queensgate location. The fish was over-battered and way too done. At Queensgate you get three pieces of really good fish with a light tempura batter. Oh well, will go back to Queensgate. read more

My husband and I go to Hop Jacks at least once a week if not more since their menu has a nice variety. In the last several weeks we have seen a decline in their quality of service and their food. Today we had dinner their and it was so cold we could not enjoy our dinner. Every time the door is open it feels like the Arctic winds enter throughout the restaurant. Plus if seated near the Windows we can feel the coldness it's terrible. It would be nice if they put tall gas heaters on each side of the front doors not sure it that would help. As far as food goes they have removed the meatloaf sandwich and the Philly sandwich no longer has chopped beef now the use some type of sliced beef which quality seems to be not as tasty as before. Seems like the restaurant has been having a turn over of servers etc. The only servers that do a wonderful job waiting on us is Ashley, Destiny and Sarah. As I said we enjoy Hop Jack but if they do not correct these things we may have to tell my family and friends that we should find another place to eat and socialize. read more
