Flew in town for a family thing and had some time to kill after checking in to my hotel room nearby. Wanted to get a bite to eat somewhere that I could also watch the football game that was starting soon and found the Dugout sports bar. Walked in to a typical sports bar with several TVs playing various sports including the football game I was interested in watching. I was immediately greeted and told that I could sit anywhere. The menu was not extensive but more than adequate and simple. I ordered their burger and brew combo that came with choice of any beer, any burger on the menu and side salad or tots. Salad sounded too healthy to accompany a beer so I went with jalapeño tots. All for under $20 sounded perfect to me. The burger great and the generous amount of tots were more like freshly breaded deep-fried poppers than tots but were really good. The waitress was very pleasant and kept checking in on me without feeling like I was being pestered. Will definitely visit the Dugout again the next time I'm in town. Comfortable and fun environment. First time here and read the reviews but decided to try the place out. Ordered a Bloody Mary (spicy) and a Loaded Mimosa with Deep Eddy's Orange Vodka (which is on their menu). Bloody Mary came out pretty good, the Loaded Mimosa not so much, they had no orange vodka available, how is that even possible when it's on the specialty drink menu. Decided to order Jalapeño Tots for a snack. We waited for a total of 40 minutes for tots! Really??!!My husband finally went asked where our order was.....pretty sure it was never put in! Tried this place out since we were in town for the night. There were 3 waitresses and the place was full. The servers seemed to be running around. Yvonne was our server and our bartender. She made killer Huckleberry vodka drinks and was great. We didn't see her for alittle while and we asked another server but she told us she needed to pour drinks for someone else. After sitting there for 10-15 min, we asked for the bill. At that time, Yvonne came back from break and took care of us. As well as the other bartender. Drinks are ok. They have a decent selection of beers, maybe a cider or two. Everything is overpriced for what you get. It looks like they were going for upscale dive aesthetic, but in reality it's a poorly lit concrete box that's either dead slow or packed - there's no in between. Service has always been so-so. Today is a football game and there are a total of 4 employees here (2 people in the kitchen and 2 waitresses). No designated bartender. It appears there are 17 tables full and a full bar. Don't get me wrong, the staff is busting their butts over here but 2 waitstaff is not enough. We have been here about 6-7 times and it's always the same issue - except when it's completely dead on Sundays and even then it's typically only 1 person here because the 1 kitchen staff left due to slow business. When this happens you can't order any food other than fried food - it would be nice to know that before deciding to come eat here. Went here at 4pm on a Friday. It took at least half an hour to get a menu?? Eventually got to order a hard cider and a BLT with the jalapeno cheddar tots. Now, the words "jalapeno cheddar tots" make me think of freshly made tater tots topped with jalapeno and cheddar cheese. Unfortunately, Southridge Dugout and I don't think alike. The tots were flat circular disks about half an inch thick. If there was any jalapeno in them, it was pulsed to miniscule pieces in a food processor somewhere in a factory before being mixed with "cheese," potato flakes and breading and then frozen. These were not fresh and the only thing going for them was that they were hot from being re-fried. The BLT had shredded lettuce instead of leaf, but the flavor was okay. Service continued to be a bummer throughout the time we were there, though it did improve a little when a different waitress came on shift. read more

It's understandable you can deny service to anyone, but what's pathetic is to make false accusations to validate their "reasons"; accusing the oldest member of the party of having false identification. Prior to this visit we had never been asked to verify our age. Night was ruined by a rude waitress, Gabby, who was more interested in the table of single men than a table of two couples. Bring another incorrect sandwich/burger a second time and ask the guy who ordered it, you can take this or wait for our small kitchen to make the correct sandwich/burger you ordered. 3. Take 1.5 hours to finally get the correct sandwich/burger to the guy and charge him full price. Bambi, I know it wasn't your fault, its a small kitchen, two kitchen staff and a bar full of people watching the game. But you could have made the situation right. If not take it off the guy's tab, offer him a discount. An hour and a half for the correct food, really? We would have loved to watch the Seahawks, NFL and other sports there, but if that is what everyone can expect for customer service, no thanks. This dj has a menu for getting up to sing faster that he clearly posts. 50 bucks to sing next 20 gets you bumped up x amount of spots etc etc. And to add to that he indicates with an Asterix whether you've tipped to be bumped up or not while I find that whole thing to super tacky ( many people agree with me) with an hour to go i walked up to the dj with a 50..now in his visible rotation you could tell that about every other singer had tipped..so in theory if people could pay to bump up, then with 50 dollars I could've bumped one of the non tipping singers. But this waste of a dj, said no he's not taking any more songs with an hour left to go and a fifty in my hand he denied me. And then he proceeded to add new singers after he told me and my friend no..and to top it off, dude learn how to mix..cuz it was NOT good. I've always wondered why people with personalities like his think that they can dj? This place recently open in our neighborhood. The service was atrocious. Our servers did not make their rounds as all good ones do. The food ok forever to get to us and when we did receive it it was fair. We were a large group and most had 4 or less drinks while watching a football game. At the end of the 3rd quarter our group was "cut off" for being out of control. No one in our group was drunk or out of control in any way. This is the worst experience I've ever had in a sports bar setting. I will never go back and will advise everyone to not patronize this establishment as well. I went there for Taco Tuesday, expecting something special. What I got was absolutely the WORST tacos, if you want to call them that, that I have EVER had. They were supposed to be chicken tacos, but none of the ingredients were there. The chicken was MIA, there were no tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, avocado, etc. It was hard to tell what was actually in the tacos, but I am guessing rice and cabbage. They put in 3 or 4 coaster-sized soft taco shells (? - is it too expensive to use a standard shell?). And if that isn't bad enough (it was) the price of these tacos was, at least, twice what I would expect ($5 EACH). And if THAT wasn't bad enough (and it WAS!!)
