The food tasted good and there is a good beer selection. The reason for three stars is it takes 35-45 minutes to get your food even with very few people there. The waitress told us this is how it is planned to be because your food is made fresh. The issue is that it's pretty much pretzels. I'm willing to wait that long for a great steak dinner. But bar food!?! Also they need to work on greeting people. We stood at the door for a while and a few waitresses looked at us, but didn't say anything. We then seated ourselves with no one acknowledging us so I went over to three chatting waitresses and a person that looked like a manager and just mentioned we were there. They sort of just looked at me like they didn't know what to do. About 5 mins after that a waitress stopped by the table. read more

Recently checked this place out after hearing of their lobster bisque special. We were pleasantly surprised..The bisque and accompaniments were excellent and creatively presented. Not into beer but there were decent wine options. The only improvement perhaps would be more comfortable bar stools...Will go back soon. read more

This place is decent, there are some seating options such as the steel bar stools that are just very uncomfortable to sit in, but outside on the benches it is wonderful. The pretzels and flatbreads are to die for, I 100% recommend the caprese flatbread. Fun games to play as well. read more

Fun atmosphere, games galore, nice selection of beers and ciders that change often. Homemade pretzels made to order, I am quite fond of the stuffed pretzels. Nice addition of 2 small outdoor patios! I recommend stopping in when they have jukebox bingo which I think is on Wednesday's it was fun. read more

Customer service is poor. Manager or owner (not sure who, but middle aged lady with blonde hair) deliberately goes out of her way to be rude to customers and make them feel unwelcome. It's unfortunate because I really want to like this place, and it is a popular destination among me and my friends. Unfortunately, that kind of customer service, especially from someone who is supposed to be setting an example for other employees on how they should treat customers, is scary to say the least. read more

The secret bar of storrs. Super nice atmosphere, not packed (was able to have a conversation without constant yelling). There also was certainly no lack of entertainment, a life band performed till about 10 and there were tons of board games as well as shuffle board, air hockey and more! As for food, we just had pretzels but they were a 10/10. They had over 20 different beers on tap with a nice selection of porters, IPAs, Lagers, Stouts, Ciders and more! One of the staff members, Justin, was extraordinary. He was not our waiter but still popped by to see how we were doing. We asked him tons of questions about different beers and he was super knowledgeable. We looked for him at the end of the night to give him an extra tip but he had already left:(. Furthermore, there was no wait to sit and our waitress was very attentive. I never even had to mention my water glass, which I find myself often doing at restaurants. Price was reasonable. Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30pm. It was not very busy at all so we sat ourselves at a high top in the bar area. At least four different servers walked past us a total of 10 times before anyone acknowledged our existence. We ordered two beers and a pretzel to share - one single traditional pretzel. After placing our order we got our beers in about five minutes, which is not bad but for how slow it was it probably should have even been a bit quicker. For the pretzel, it took a completely unreasonable amount of time for what we ordered, considering it is literally the only type of food they serve and the simplest order you can possibly have. Our waitress failed to acknowledge our wait time and didn't visit us again until the food was delivered. There were one man and one woman who appeared to be management standing around chatting and apparently not interested in the customer experience at all. Honestly, this place really needs to figure itself out if it is going to survive. I'm really disappointed as I thought this would be a cool addition to the area. We might come back in a few weeks to see if it improves, but the first impression was horrific. read more

I know this place is fairly new, but I have given it 3 chances and they were all very disappointing. This last time really set the tone. Went last weekend for a late lunch. It took over 1 1/2 hours for our food. The restaurant was not busy at all. Within that timeframe, I asked the waiter 3 times the status of our food, 3 times I was told it would be out shortly. When I was about to ask him the 4th time he finally said he put the order in wrong. We continued to order drinks while waiting. The server got a beer order wrong twice, and also recommended a beer in which the keg had already been tapped. We were never offered a comp of any sorts. The restaurant manager was too busy organizing the game area to even know there were constant issues at our table. I only write this review because I really hope they look into improvements. I would hate to see a business fail. All 3 times I have gone, the waitstaff has messed up our orders, and did not know the beer menu at all. I'm going to give it some time, but I'll be back and I hope for a better situation! read more

First time and I'm blown away. Didnt expect live music as I walked in the door. Tona of board games to play while you wait. Air hockey, foosball, etc. Super cool atmosphere with high tables or couches for seating. Tons of beers. Pretzels are amazing... so many choices! And the price is right. All the games were great, but the rest was pretty disappointing. The beers are overpriced, and out of 20 taps half were ipas, a little more variety would have been nice. The pretzels were not good, they were dry, under salted and came with the tiniest possible amount of dipping sauce. read more
