A vast variety of choices, from ice cream to ice cream floats, to slushies, to cookie sandwiches UConn Dairy bar has them all. Decided to try the coffee espresso chip today, was offered a sample by a staff member, and decided to get it. It was a great choice! After our ice cream we decided to take a walk to see the cows. As always will be back!

UConn dairy bar is by far the tastiest ice cream probably in the world. It is the creamiest, flavorful, best textured dessert anyone can put in their mouth. I am so lucky to have experienced this ice cream when I was a UConn student, and will make the trek out just to have this treat when I am craving ice cream. The cherry on top is that the prices are extremely reasonable. I get a small cup which consists of two scoops, and those scoops are MASSIVE. I can do with just a kid size next time but I always wanna try two flavors. Their creations are so tasty and some of the senior scoops I wish were permanent flavors. Some of my all time faves include the salted caramel crunch, and their black raspberry has to be the best I've ever tried, no exaggeration. I love this place, I love this school, huskies forever!!!

Been on my list for a bit. Campus was quiet this Sunday-yesterday was graduation so a perfect day to come! Only waited 5 minutes Ordered banana chip and toasted almond-So yum! Ice cream is homemade. 2 smalls with toppings was only $12! Definitely worth the trip!

This was my first time at UConn's Dairy Bar, and I'll definitely return. I'm a PSU Berkey Creamery kind of gal, but the Dairy Bar's ice cream felt creamier. It wasn't very busy, but the workers all had smiles!

Literally farm-fresh ice cream made from dairy cows you can see in a big pasture across the way. So creamy and rich - delicious! The ice cream is top-notch, the flavors are terrific; do make sure you stop by after dropping off/picking up your student whenever start or end of semester, holidays, whatever (or just make up any old excuse to get some). Go Huskies! And scream for ice cream!

Wow! I've been missing out! This was my first experience here after hearing about it for years. There was a line out the doors, down the stairs and into the parking lot on the day I visited- Labor Day. However, the line moved fast and everyone was pleasant. I saw the board with the flavors of the day and knew I couldn't get just one. The young man who was taking orders was cheerful, competent and efficient. What a fabulous employee! I ordered a medium cup with 3 types of ice cream- strawberry cheesecake, chocolate brownie and coffee espresso crunch. The place was very clean and crowded and the staff were so fast and pleasant that I didn't mind waiting to get my cup. It didn't take too long. When my number was called I took it along with a spoon and napkins and made my way to the tables outside. All three flavors were out of this world! Creamy, crunchy and not too sweet. I chatted with others near me enjoying their ice cream too. Such a beautiful setting on the UCONN campus to enjoy a delicious treat!

This place definitely will reach you or test your PATIENCE! A long line and a crowded room full of people craving for UConn's Ice cream. I was told the amaretto was to die for. Well I did like it, but was it worth the wait That's for you to figure out, don't want to rob you of your own experience.

I have visited the dairy bar several times and i've never been disappointed . UConn's ice cream is made using milk from their own dairy farm. A must try when in the area The line usually moves quickly

UConn Ice Cream is as sweet as Carvel or Friendly's. They have crazy, unique flavors that are worth trying.

This a must see when f you even drive close to UConn. It's been a staple of the university for so many years and once you step inside, you'll know why. So many flavors that you will need a few weeks just to sample each one but you can't go wrong with any choice.

Good place to take a stroll, look at the cattle, scenery and burn some calories before you sit to have an ice cream. The ice cream is really good but I have had better. Watch out when you ask for toppings, they load it!! I'm still leaning for a five and may be I changed mine from a four as I finish this review.

Love going to this place year round!…read more THE CREAM My go to is a classic chocolate soft serve in a cone. Very tasty! I've also had milkshakes from there that are very good. Tonight my partner got a strawberry milkshake and it was so delicious and refreshing!! Will definitely be getting that again in the future. THE STAFF Typically we go here on weeknights and I feel like it's usually just one girl working so if you got at a busier time there might be a bit of a wait. THE LOCATION Love the seating that they offer. There's a handful of tables with umbrellas but also plenty of really nice and colorful Adirondack chairs. It's very relaxing to sit in them in the nice grassy area and enjoy your ice cream! One thing I will say is I wish they allowed you to tip on credit card purchases. We almost never have cash on us and the young girls working (especially when hustling by themselves!) really deserve tips. I bet they lose out on so many because they aren't able to get it on card purchases from the outdoor walk up window.

Red Barn Creamery and Sweet Shop (also apparently known as the Stearns Farm Stand) is part…read morecreamery, part bakery and part Farm Market. It's located in Storrs/Mansfield. The area is very cool. I parked roadside, but the entrance is around that side of the building and there was parking closer to the entrance. Out back, there is a great view of open land, grass and trees. There are a few chairs and benches and it's a peaceful spot to eat your food and let young kids run around. I bought an ice cream flight, two cookies, Silver Queen corn and heirloom tomatoes. I'm primarily reviewing the ice cream side of the business, but I'm factoring the other things in as well. Ice cream is always tasty, but I'd say the ice cream was about average for CT ice cream places making their own ice cream. I ordered a flight of Mint Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Blueberry Cheesecake and Cow Palace. The flight came in a cup, rather than some sort of flat container that would keep the flavors separate. I feel like I had a good chance to try the Chocolate Peanut Butter (which reminded me of a Fudgesicle) and the Mint CC (which was kind of standard). The flavors below the top two, kind of blended into each other by the time I got to them. I picked up some cheesecake flavor and berry flavor and chocolate chips. All good. A highlight was the two cookies (a chocolate chip and a peanut butter chip). The kind person who helped me with my ice cream said she made the cookies that morning. My wife ate most of the cookies, but I tried both and they were fresh and delicious. I used a tomato for a BLT. It was good. The Silver queen corn was also good. Red Barn had a reasonably good selection of in season produce, baked goods such as pies, butter, milk, jarred goods. A good place to shop for stuff like that. Four Stars

BTW - Turns out it's super close to Exit 68 off Route 84. So it shouldn't have taken me this long. I'd call Camille's pizza Modern Wood-Fired Thin Crust. I ordered one with pepperoni, sausage and fresh peppers as opposed to roasted ones (which is an option) for pickup. The restaurant was nice. If you're a Prince (the musician, not the one stripped of his title -- too soon?) fan you may love the purple hues. The crust was good chewy. I loved the pepperoni. They cupped and crisped, but in a slightly different visual way than many cup and crisp pepperoni. Very cool. Tasted great too. The fresh peppers ended up being red rather than green. This is a personal preference, but I prefer green. I like the flavor of the green juice better on a pizza. I also think the green color pops better since the sauce and pepperoni are both red. I liked the pizza, but I didn't love it. I couldn't figure out why at first. I think the primary reason was the sausage. It wasn't bad. I just didn't connect with the flavor. And also I prefer larger pieces, than the smaller crumbles Camille's used. If I had this pizza without the sausage, I would have liked it better. I do have a favorable impression of Camille's though. I would definitely return. 4.25 Stars
