Old style armchairs and chairs, but new style tables. Staff were friendly. No complaints. Coffee was pretty decent. I also tried their chocolate bun. Looked like a long thin swirly pile of, um, poop. It was tasty though. I liked that it wasn't ridiculously sweet. Went well with the coffee. The place is nice and quiet, and is great for chatting. I'd come back at some point.

That was a pleasant menu surprise! There was a line out the door but this place is definitely worth the wait. There is also a E facing table and patio umbrella outside, but it wasn't set up during this rainy season. The room is quite stuffy (lack of ventilation), so they had the door propped open. This place is quite cramped. Staff are friendly. I think they're Korean. Coffee here is pretty decent. No complaints. Didn't try the food. Place might be worth coming by alone or maybe in a group of 2 at most. Otherwise I would highly recommend takeout.

It was kind of chilly inside because they had the door propped open despite it being cold out, but I can imagine it might have been stuffy for the staff in the kitchen area. The barista was very nice! I got the Sooyo croissant, an egg tart, and a milk tea. I loved the Sooyo croissant - I'm weak to the brie/fig combo and this had just the right balance of all the ingredients on a warm and soft croissant. The egg tart was also really nice with a hint of cinnamon. It was bite-sized which was good for a small treat. I also loved the milk tea. It was very strong, and the brown sugar syrup enhanced the flavour! It was worth the trip for me for a relaxing snack stop!

The space is super cozy with plenty of different sized tables and bar seating, it felt like being in someone's upscale living room (in the best way). They had some food options in addition to some pastries and a drink menu. I went with the hojicha latte and was super impressed with the quality. The staff were all so lovely! We sat at the bar so I sat there barista make all kind of drinks throughout our time there and you could tell lots of care went into each one. Overall I'd definitely come back here to try some other drinks out and enjoy the space.

Presentation was very nice. When I sipped, the hot chocolate texture was very very creamy and l liked it. Then, Umami(soy sauce) flavor came through and became sweet and savory flavor. However, as they mentioned, " subtle" , umami flavor faded, later on, it became a sweet hot chocolate. Soy garlic biscotti was a bit chewy and It had a strong soy sauce flavor. It is better to have it with hot chocolate and I liked the combination. I wish a hot chocolate Umami flavor lasted longer. Overall, still this place hot chocolate tasted very good.

Found out new owners took over recently, but the welcoming community vibe is alive and well! They have art shows/displays, a pay it forward meal program, and are open later than most cafes. The person behind the counter let me know that it was more of a superfood thing, so I was going to pick something else entirely but they offered to make me a matcha latte with coconut milk if I wanted a similar flavour profile.
