I stopped in and took a look at the menu. Good selection and reasonable prices. Although we had already eaten elsewhere and had other food for later, (big hero's and chicken from Herb's Market) I ordered a poke bowl to go. Well, it took appx 15 minutes to get it! Way too long of a wait I was getting impatient. Everything is cold in a poke bowl. My suggestion: pre make and put them in your "to go" fridge!. Excellent fried shrimp basket. Felt like a kid again. The lobster bisque was thick and creamy, but not really hot. Lukewarm. The place looks clean and new, friendly people inside. This spot was one of the highlights of my recent trip to Montauk. They have about 5-6 picnic tables i would say that fill up quickly due to their popularity so keep in mind when deciding if want to get to go or not. Everyone on my party loved what they got. I personally got the lobster roll and a cup out the Kick'n Crab Corn Chowder. The lobster roll was delicious and comes with a generous portion of lobster probably the largest portion i saw the whole trip. The soup was also amazing and we went back at a later date to get more of it! Someone in my group also got the Tom Lob which is basically the lobster roll but replacing the roll with stuffing the tomato instead. Equally delicious and a great option for those who want the lobster roll but want to avoid the bread. The people in my group also got the clam chowder and fish n chips and had great things to say about their meals as well. Definentaly coming here again when we come back to Montauk. read more

Been coming out to Montauk for years. Tried this place last night for the first time. Their New England Clam Chowder was excellent. However they lost major points for their fried claims. We got 3 orders of the fried clam strips and each order and several clams which were simply not edible. And by not edible I mean they were the equivalent of rubber. Allowing that to end up in a food order is a choking hazard to say the very least. I had high hopes for this place but I can't say I would return after this. read more

So close to the beach and their Grilled Tuna over greens was so so delicious. It's a very hefty size of fish (I recommend getting it rare). The House Salad was also very well portioned and filling! The crab chowder was also solid. Only complaint would be the fish tacos were a little small but overall great bang for your buck for lunch so close to the beach. Only seating is picnic tables outside but easy enough to transport to the beach. Great spot and in my opinion a more delicious option than Joni's. read more

Came here not realizing that red hook lobster pound was closed. Looks like a local operator took over ( saw a cute truck with montauk volunteer firefighter markings on it!). A few salad options, grilled steak style fish (tuna, mahi mahi, swordfish) lots of fried options, lots of soups. Nice selection. Only thing I kinda wanted was a Connecticut butter style lobster roll on a toasted potato bun, and some lighter grilled fish options or fish and chips. Perfect for a quick meal of some classic fried seafood dishes. Had the clam strips and clams on the half. Shared calamari and my friend had the chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious but she didn't care for the chicken sandwich. Reasonable prices here which is the best part - half a dozen clams on the half were $7.50 and my clam strips were $12 as well as the calamari. Not bad prices for Montauk! I did not want mushrooms with mine, but I'm sure they're probably great as well. I was there for lunch today. It's a cool place with a great menu. It's just what Montauk needed. A short walk from the beach to get a great casual seafood ( among other land items ) will do great.
