Had a Bistro Club Sandwich (chicken, advocado, bacon, mayo, lettuce) and it was amazing. My boyfriend got the Hickory Burger (got to have a bite of it, and that was also scrumptious)! Honest to God, the perfect meat-to-bun ratio in Ventura County. The burgers are always juicy. The fries can be better, but the customer service makes up for any inconvenience you can come up with. Really tasty food! They are pretty fast even at lunch time. They don't have an extensive menu, but they are great at what they do serve. I enjoy the Maui and Bistro burgers. You can get anything custom made too. They have the best sweet potato fries in town and they are served with horseradish sauce... Yum! I ordered takeout by phone and food not ready when I arrived after the 20 minutes. There was a rather big crowd near the front. I was able to pay and asked for ketchup to be provided. He said that it would be when my food was ready. It was loud in the restaurant when the woman handed me my food. Warning for those with food allergies, they use Soybean oil for their fryers. When you order avocado, it's actually a guacamole with things added. After looking up on yelp we decided to give Hook Burger a try and we're very glad we did! I ordered the mushroom burger with turkey instead of beef and it was very tasty! The turkey was moist and there was a good balance of meat to bun. My husband got their regular burger and he liked it very well- he said "better than 5 guys" which is typically his favorite!
