Rocco's is also very consistent. You can expect that no matter what doughnut you're getting, the yeast donut or cake rings will always be the same - just vary by topping. This is a really good thing, since they've been open for so long and haven't changed their doughnut recipe. Besides their fun and unique monthly flavors, the good ones I always find myself going back to are the Boston Creme, Maple Bacon, and Apple Fritter. These are classics that are almost always be on the menu. I'm also pretty sure Rocco's has the best Boston Creme in Boston. It's a small shop with tons of options, friendly folk at the counter, and delicious photo-worthy doughnuts. What's not to love?
