First time here. I went twice! The donuts are so reasonably priced (especially in this oversaturated economy) and doubly delicious. I had apple cider donut, blueberry, glazed honey dip, and chocolate honey dip. ALL phenomenal!! I was happy to go back a second time and get a half dozen for the road trip back home. I am looking forward to visiting again, maybe trying a different location (they are only located select cities/states). This location has very friendly employees who have great attitudes. The two girls working the afternoon that I came in we behind the counter waiting to serve me. I looked over the menu and since it was technically after closing time, there was still a pretty good variety of donuts left. I was surprised to see the posters on the outside of the store advertising burritos and bacon mac n cheese entrees, which is not usually the norm for a coffee and donut shop. First timer. I got the steak, egg and cheese on a jalapeño bagel. Bagel was nice and crispy, they asked to put A-1 on the steak... Of course! Coffee was decent. My husband and I frequented this location, with no previous issues. We were always polite and friendly, tipped every time and didn't cause a problem when our coffees were made wrong. As of yesterday that changed when a new employee was allowed to be rude, make comments about my husband to the point where he did say shut up. While that was wrong, what's more wrong is the employees lying and saying he swore. They sent him away with his coffee remade and didn't ask him to leave so clearly he wasn't a swearing lunatic. The common demoninator that is the problem person in this incident is the new employee, not the person who has handled every other issue amicably. When I told the manager in store I had called corporate and left a message, she snidely said "You can call corporate but they'll just send you back to me." That clearly says to me the Honeydew corporation doesn't care and is willing to lose customers because they hired people who take personal when you want them to correct the mistake they made. read more

Finally, a chance to upgrade a business, for a change. I'd stayed away for a while, but revisited them around 7:30 a.m. Saturday to get coffee and breakfast before I took my wife's car to a nearby tire center. I got my usual: ham and egg on a croissant, with a peach muffin and black coffee. Service was friendly. An older man who might have been the owner talked to me about the Bruins as he put a newspaper back in the rack. Thankfully, the sandwich was very good, as were the coffee and peach muffin. I was in and out quickly, too. For a chain donut shop, this place is actually pretty inviting, with a comfortable dining area featuring a large flat-screen TV, and the dining area and bathrooms are squeaky clean. read more

I'm from the south I've never been to a honeydew before and I've never had a bagel north of the mason-dixon line. I stopped at this place just before checking in at the airport to fly back home. It was nice. The employees were very nice and the building was comfortable. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese bagel, a glazed honey dew donut and an iced coffee. The young man even told me when I tried to order the iced coffee that it might be an up-charge...I didn't mind the up-charge but still it was so nice to be see a business which is upfront about their pricing. My bagel was superb. It was light and fluffy not heavy at all. There was no weird turbo oven taste to it like the sandwiches you get a DD. My iced coffee hit the spot and the glazed donut did not disappoint. Thank you honeydew for giving me a nice pleasant send off before leaving Rhode Island to head back south. read more

What a travesty of a place. I really wanted a donut, but truthfully, I did not eat the one I purchased after coming here. First, the people were friendly enough, but I noticed that the person who got my donuts had the dirtiest fingernails ever. This person's hands looked like they had been working on a car (but no washing after). After I ordered, the worker went over to the donuts, put dirty hands on the little donut bag to open it, and then put those dirty fingers in the bag to spread it open. The person used the little tissue paper thing to pick up the donut, but that's not enough. When you work in food service, your hands should look clean. I shouldn't have to see thin lines of black/dirt under fingernails. Hygiene is important. I also noticed that a different person had on plastic gloves, not sure why the dirty nail person did not. Ya'll - you are handling other people's food. Be sanitary. Wash your hands, scrub those nails, and wear gloves anyway. I was handed my donut and coffee. I looked at the donut and it didn't seem fresh. It seemed hard - like a day-old donut. I couldn't bring myself to eat or drink my purchase. I don't think I'll return here. read more

I am in town for business staying across the street and decided an afternoon snack was in order after a day of travel. Overall I left satisfied with my indulgence. The shop has a nice quaint donut shop feel to it. It feels like donuts are created here and not a just a corporate donut factory. I decided to try the signature honey dew donut which is simply a glazed yeast donut along with a coffee. I smiled at the visual coffee lightness guide helping tourists like me properly order their brew. Unfortunately I didn't notice it until after I ordered so I still looked like a tourist. Facepalm. So this particular Honey Dew is one of the worst I've been to. Today I ordered 2 Large Iced coffee's which came to over $6 (any other HD its like $5) and the brainless worker gives me ONE straw. What am I supposed to to with 1 straw and 2 coffees? Like really. Of course I don't notices until I get to my Bf's work.. what a pain in the ass that caused. I went to this Honey Dew for over a year, on my way to work every day. After a couple of mornings of the usual woman who worked there being absent, I asked the manager where she was. He motioned that she was crazy and had been let go and then said "You know how women are." I will not spend my money at an establishment that finds it acceptable to promote this viewpoint and makes such comments to customers. I La-La-Love Honey Dew Donuts. I'm going to be bold and admit that I PREFER HD over Dunkin'. There, I said it. And what. Honey Dew is part of my morning routine, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but nonetheless, it is. Every morning I drive happily through their drive thru and order a mocha madness (black), iced or hot depending on the weather, and it never disappoints. I literally crave these things, I guess that's kinda sad. Their breakfast sandwiches taste much fresher than DD's too, not sure if they really are, but they sure taste like it. Their donuts are the best. They also have old fashioned sugar donuts, which are NOT available anywhere else. Great staff, nice leather chairs to sit and relax, and no horrible music pounding over ceiling speakers. The coffee is quality as is the donuts. A great location that lets you get in and out quickly. With so many Dunkin donuts around, it feels special to go to a Honey Dew, like you are going to a coffee shop in a different town. There is hardly ever a line when I go there. read more

I used to hold this coffee chain to a much higher standard than Dunkin. Lately though it appears to be going the way of Dunkin with food made by an outside vendor or a main central location.
