Big place! They serve mostly breakfast and lunch. We got the standard eggs potatoes and turkey bacon. Price was reasonable and the server was really nice. Good place to go if you are in the area and would like something other than what Tim's has to offer.

From the outside, the restaurant seemed underwhelming but the food turned out to be great! We got items from the dinner combo menu which came with either a soup or salad, and dessert. We started with mushroom soup which was tasty. It didn't seem like soup from a can and had a lot of mushroom bits which added a nice texture to the soup. We ordered the steak and three pastas. We asked for the steak to be done medium but it arrived well done. The pastas, although simple, were delicious, especially the carbonara! The meal ended with dessert which was a creamy rich chocolate ice cream. The ice cream came in cold bowls which was a nice touch. Prices are very reasonable, with the pasta combos being around $14.99. However, the interior seemed a bit old and could use some touch ups. Overall, the food was great for a good price!

First time here. Right off the bat the place looked a little worn out which excited me because usually these are the places that are hidden gems. The service was great. We walked in and they asked we seat ourselves. Sat down and noted the table needed to be wiped off so I kindly asked our server to just wipe it down and she promptly did. The breakfast menu looked decent. Took a look at what previous guests have posted at this restaurant on Yelp. I ended up ordering smoked salmon Benny with a black coffee. My first sip of coffee for the day on a Sunday morning, totally ruined my whole experience. It tasted like a wet rag. I didn't drink it. The food arrived and the "poached" egg just seemed under cooked and the yolk was sliding all over the plate. As you can see in the pic the yolk fell to the right as I snapped this shot. The home fries were tender inside and crunchy outside which was amazing. The fruits were served in a plastic container which I thought was a little weird, cold, crunchy fruits. My fave. I don't recommend the coffee at all but I may give this place another try. 2/5 for my first experience

Amazing spot for all-day breakfast and other food. We came here for a late weekday dinner. The interior gives late night diner vibes. Service is quick, attentive, and friendly. They have a variety of menu items, but I went with their striploin which comes with a choice of soup or salad, a side, and dessert for an amazing price! Portions were large, amazing value for the money, and the steak was tasty. Definitely coming back for more delicious cheap eats!

I just dropped by after reading the yelp reviews. I was in Scarb looking for food. The restaurant is in the corner of a plaza on Markham Road / McNicol. The staff was very friendly , and welcoming. The prices on the menu are very reasonable. I got the steak and eggs $11.99. They have the all day breakfast for $7.99, butter chicken poutine $12.99. Food came very quickly, and was good. Although I think the steak was a little salty otherwise everything was good. I would want to come back with a colleague to try other dishes. This will be my go to every weekend when I work from the office .

Honey b hives is a hidden gem located in Scarborough which serves up ALL day breakfast/lunch and dinner and is open 24 hrs on Friday and Saturdays and 3am on other days. They have an extensive menu with many specials that offer great value and hearty portions. You definitely will not run of options and you may even have a hard time choosing what to eat! Many of the menu specials for dinner even come with a soup/salad and dessert included!! Talk about great value! Along with the amazing menu selection the service is unbeatable with super friendly staff! Featured here: Jerk shrimp spaghetti Butter chicken poutine Fish and chips Chicken parmesan with penne 8oz AAA striploin Chicken and waffles Working B breakfast with blueberry pancakes My personal favorites were the jerk shrimp spaghetti and the butter chicken poutine. Both of them packed a punch with the flavors and they were such unique dishes. I highly recommend! Also you cannot go wrong with an 8oz steak for only $11.99 at lunch and happy hour!! That is such a steal and it was very tender and not tough at all. It even comes with a side of delicious mashed potatoes. YUMMY!

One of the restaurants that open 24 hours! Great place to grab a late night snack/meal, not judging! xD I ordered a Honey B breakfast and a side of Nutella waffles. Food came out really fast, love fast service. The breakfast meal is HUGE! Loads with home fries, scrambled eggs, 3 sausage, freshly toasted toast and a couple slices of oranges. $5.99+1 (fyi: if you order after breakfast times, they charge u a dollar more) is A GREAT DEAL!! Usually a regular size of english breakfast costs you around $11-15, price wise, this place is a steal!! Highly suggest if you crave english breakfast but dont want to spend too much $$$. The waffles are $4.99 plus $1 for Nutella. 3/5. Nothing too special about it. The waffles are dusted with icing sugar, and a little tube of Nutella on the side. I wish there was more Nutella tho :(( Overall, 4/5!!

Love the booths!

I came here with a friend after we both got free from a clinical trial we were participating in. We were both starving after the small portions all weekend and this was close by. A very cute place and very clean. I've eaten at places that absolutely outstanding over-the-top breakfast offerings. If you're looking for that, this isn't the place for you. If you want a really great tasting breakfast at a very economical price, this IS the place for you. I have to say the place was very easy to get to. It sits at the end of a strip mall on a main street and there was lots of parking available. the decor was in my favorite combination: black and red. Nice. There were TVs hung on the walls. Our server was super nice, very soft-spoken. She brought us everything we needed, including extra cream. My bacon was a little underdone (my fault for not specifying well done) and she took it back to be cooked a bit more with a smile. She was great. We both ordered soft-cooked scrambled eggs and they were done the way we requested. I'm gluten-free and was happy to find that the homefries were GF. I had bacon and ham, too. The bacon was an extra add-on. I didn't like the coffee. I think it had been brewed too hot as it was very bitter. My friend had hot choco. We both ate with tip for under $30 bucks, nice! A few cons: No GF bread or pancakes for those of us who can't eat wheat Only one flavour of jam/jelly, strawberry Everything else was very good. If you want a nice greasy breakfast at a very reasonable price, you've found your spot.

A simple breakfast.. very dry and cold. Took 30 minutes to arrive..

I think it's been a while since I've truly been unable to give even a star (but Yelp has a 1 star minimum to leave a review). We walked in and it wasn't a full house yet. There's a table to seat the 5 of us but the staff curtly tells us to wait because she will set up the table. 7 minutes later, table not set... She doesn't even go near it because she's busy going to all the tables taking their orders. Finally she just motions to us to go sit. Another ten minutes later she THROWS ONE menu on the table and without a word, walks off. It's 20 minutes since entering before we can finally order and she only asks every other person if they want a drink... My friend gets a Fanta which is just Sprite with what tastes like Sunny D. We wait a full 30 minutes more before one dish arrives. Mine. And it was very very very NOT worth the wait. I ordered over easy eggs with turkey bacon and it comes with home fries and toast. Not only did this take 30 minutes, but it came cold. I didn't want to wait another half hour so I just ate it. 15 minutes after that, the rest of the dishes start to arrive. The last was the most unappealing looking eggs Benedict which was made with a soft-hard yolk rather than a runny one. Sorta defeats the purpose of a poached egg. Every dish arrived cold or just slightly warm and the service was so so so so rude!! I can honestly get over the food but the service was the absolute worst!!! This woman gestures more than speaks and when she spoke, it was rude, curt, and like she was mega annoyed. Restaurant, by the way, was not full at all!! The only time she said more than a few words to us was to tell us "no split bill" and "don't touch the door, it's broken".. and she's rude about that too!! I don't think I've ever encountered a more rude staff. 110 minutes on the worst service and bad, cold food. I would never return and I wouldn't recommend anyone spend their hard earned money here.

I love this restaurant even though it's far from my home/work, located on Markham Road. They also have another location in Scarborough, but I haven't been there yet. The staff here are friendly and always smiling. The best part is their affordability, especially the $10 8oz steak. I usually order the meal set, which includes garlic cream soup and salad, for $14 (even though it doesn't seem to make sense). Although the restaurant has had fewer customers recently, I hope people will support local businesses by visiting.

3 star + 0.5 star for opening 24/7 I have only been to Honey B Hives Restaurant for Breakfast so my review is based on my breakfast experiences. Good Value: $2.99 for a simple breakfast is definitely an excellent value. My sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly. Home fries though was hard and dry. Well Prepared: $5.99 for Western Omelette was really fluffy! Hardly recommended! Lack of Consistency: Egg Benedict ($6.99) with Spinach. Hollandaise was really good as it was made fresh when ordered (20 minute wait if kitchen is busy). Love the nice bite of the spinach. But one of the poached eggs was perfectly runny while the other was well done? Service was OK both time but I don't know why the waitress would go around asking other tables for coffee refills while never bother with my table? I will come back to try out their lunch/dinner offering and maybe even their funnel cake!

Been here three times now and totally a fan! It's rare to find a 24-hr sit down place that isn't completely sketchy or totally packed. The food here is pretty cheap and you get soo much food!! So far I've tried the build your own pasta($7.99) and sweet potato fries($2.99) and both were amazing! I also make an effort to order chocolate milk every time because for $2 you can't go wrong! Service is fast, place is nice, and I'll be back again! Definitely recommend to give it a try!

On Friday, I was meeting up with a couple of friends at Hee Kee Seafood Restaurant for lunch. I had parked my car in front of both Cotti Coffee and the eatery. I walked into the latter. There was a woman with her two kids. They were going to Cotti Coffee through the restaurant. They held the door open for me. I thanked them as we all entered the restaurant. I noticed the latest Cotti Coffee offering. It was the double coconut collection. I was hungry and needed lunch. However, double coconut was calling out my name. I was intrigued. Our table was near the Cotti Coffee stall that is between the corridor to the washrooms and the tanks with live fish, lobster, and more. It's brilliant having a beverage place inside a restaurant. One of my friends and I are huge beverage people. We both got drinks after our meal to get us through the rest of the day. We were the only folks dining at the restaurant. It was fairly steady business at Cotti Coffee. My guess is that things get busier at the restaurant for dinner. Maybe folks getting a drink may want to do takeout. I would after dining at this restaurant! We both placed our orders online. My friend went first, as she had to go to work. She got a large iced stardust oat latte, which looked amazing. It had jelly in it. She told me later on that the coffee was strong, but she enjoyed this drink. If I had her drink, I'd probably not sleep for a full day. Before I left, I ordered a large iced strawberry matcha coco latte. There was the option to not add any sugar, which I chose. Fantuan gave me a pickup time of twenty minutes, which seemed excessive. The woman behind the counter was taking a breather. I decided to use the women's washroom and return to see if my order was ready. I got word that my order was ready in under ten minutes. Much better! I headed to the counter and matched the last three digits of my order with the receipt on the table next to my drink. I thanked the woman and grabbed my drink, thinking that it was in a sippy cup. She asked if I wanted a straw. I needed one, as it wasn't the type of drink that you could drink without one. Thank goodness my hearing is decent! The straw was a paper one and extremely sturdy. I poked it through the lid, stirred my drink, and had a sip. This drink was excellent. It had bits of strawberry in it. The matcha was smooth. The coconut beverage added a creaminess that I enjoyed. It was iced and delicious. On Fantuan, the regular size was discounted by 30%. I upgraded to a large, which came up to $6. Not too shabby! I'd come back and get more drinks. I like that it's a part of the restaurant. I can see myself getting takeout at the restaurant and a drink from Cotti Coffee. (364)

You won't get to smell much coffee but rather the other savoury dishes that they serve at the restaurant. It's slightly off putting but if you're getting stuff to go it's fine. That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

I also appreciate how there is some seating available (high top table by the front windows, bench seating along one side of the store). It's not the best cafe if you want to work or have a long chat, but it's nice that there's the option to sit and relax instead of just taking your drink to go. I wish the prices of their speciality drinks were slightly less expensive though, because $8 for an iced drink (while delicious & pretty) is a lot to spend.

Not bad, but nothing out of the ordinary, either. But what you really go for is the view of Toogood pond. With a review like that, you'd think I'd rate it higher. So why did I give it only 2 stars? We liked it enough that we tried to make a reservation again. Only now, their policies had changed. You had to make a $25 minimum per person, and on top of that, they add a 20% penalty (what they euphemistically call "gratuity". But it most definitely is not a gratuity, because a gratuity means that it's voluntary. There's nothing voluntary about the 20% surcharge. So call it what it is - a penalty). Because of these 2 extremely dumb changes, we'll never be dining there again.
