VIRGINIA BEACH | Honest Pastures | why can we not have places like this literally everywhere? Mama loves a good sandwich and HP serves. I cannot get past the fact that I have to leave northern Virginia to get a good sandwich. We had the Reuben and the chicken Philly. Kids had the grilled cheese and chicken strips. All were a hit and the fries were delish. We will be back tomorrow for breakfast because it was that good. Kuddos to this place for welcoming families with young kids. Not only do you have multiple items on the menu for them but there are high chairs and a changing table. Crazy how those things are hard to come by.

Good vegan spot! Not far from the ocean front and a huge menu to choose from. Little deli atmosphere. Don't miss grab and go fridge with candy bars... incredible. I got a classic hoagie and was not disappointed. I want to come back to try some other goodies. Food came out pretty fast. Service could've been friendlier but hey everyone has bad days. Working in food service is hard.

I have never seen so many different vegan meat options in my life. Even if you are not vegan you can still have a tasty meal here. I did an early dinner with a Reuben Sandwich and side of Cauliflower "Onion" rings. The meat (non-meat) was sooooo good. My girlfriend got the Mediterranean sandwich with the pickled cucumber salad side that was also good. The owners are super friendly and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming! Next visit will be to try breakfast. If any criticism it would be they close so early at 6pm but that seems to be all vegan places.

    LARGE - Philly...SO good!

Amazingly flavorful food and friendly staff!!! I also had the fried mushrooms which were so good I forgot to photograph them!!!

Heavy Eye Roll - Hammy & Cheese, missing fries that were supposed to be included per menu

We were excited to find another vegan restaurant that has a decent menu selection. Unfortunately, we may have visited on a day that their staff was having a bad day. The service was mediocre, as in they seemed annoyed that we were there, and should have been excited to have new clientele. As I have read through other reviews, I've seen a pattern concerning the male figure who also works there, bald with tattoos, having a negative disposition towards customers. This negativity sadly goes into the food that they prepare. As you will see from the photos I have included, the food was not great. The five dollar sweet tea tasted good, but should include free refills, since the cup isn't that big for a large. Other than the Na'Arby's sandwich, all the breads and meats were extremely dry. The Cuban needed more mustard or sauce of some type to help with flavor. The Sautéed Jerk Collards tasted OK, but we're very salty. Even though my daughter liked the Whatever! - Chickun Strips with fries, they were way overpriced for 3 small pieces less than 3" each. The Heavy Eye Roll - Hammy & Cheese was the most dry and difficult to eat, and was also missing fries that we were charged for but not provided. Last, but not least, a little good news, and so glad I ordered them. The Fried tofu bites and Honest fil-A sauce were the best out of everything. Now onto ambiance. We enjoyed getting to play a board game with our son while our daughter relaxed on the small sofa. Overall, we wish this place the best, but considering what the vegan movement is supposed to stand for with love and peace, they may need to focus more on those two aspects to enhance their food and ambiance.

Large Italian (only half shown i had already eaten the first half lol) 4/5 stars!

I've been trying every plant based, vegan restaurant as they pop up and Honest Pastures has the best tasting food I've had yet. They score very high in the areas plant based places around here tend to lack in: flavor, quality of bread, execution. We had gyros and Italian subs and they were spot on. Soft bread, accurate flavors and good textures. And please don't underestimate the importance of the bread comment. SO MANY plant based places I've been fall flat on their faces when it comes to the bread. And it ruins the sandwich. This place has it figured out !Everything was outstanding. In addition, their customer service was excellent too. We were late picking up our order and they hung around until we could come and get it. 5 stars across the board we'll be frequenting them going forward.

The Hot Chick and seasoned fries

Fabtastic vegan spot. I've been twice. This last visit, I tried The Hot Chick, rosemarry fries, the smore cookie, and chocolate chip cookie. My first visit I had a brunch platter (don't remember exactly which one, nothing noteworthy), and the person I was with got the french toast, which she raved about. Staff is friendly. Seating is available. Aside from menu items, they also have items for sale such as vegan cheese, desserts, etc.

First time here and won't be my last when I'm on this side of town! I've been meaning to stop by my buddies locally owned vegan spot and it did not disappoint! I got the gyro with air fried fries that taste like they were fried, you know I had to try all the cookies there as well, delicious! I have to bring the wife and kid here! Thanks friends!

A few years ago, they opened this location which has a bar and dine-in service. Sophia and I joined a friend of ours for lunch on Saturday. Let's see how the event turned out. I happened to place a reservation for our table the previous night, but since there weren't many people present, it wasn't necessary. The staff greeted us when we walked inside and got seated immediately. The decor inside was really nice. There's artwork abound, a bar and even a foosball table. Simply put, you should not be bored at a place like this. After looking at the menu, we were all ready to order. I selected their cabbage stew with chicken as the protein with plain jasmine rice and sweet plantains. Overall, the food was good. The stew was presented with medium spice so it definitely had my lips burning (a great thing) and the rice was well cooked. The plantains had flavor, but I felt it was overcooked. It has been a minute since I've eaten plantains but they were always a bit soft. The stew did have plenty of chicken but it could've been cut to slightly smaller pieces. Still, the meal had yours truly full and I did takeout. So did Sophia and our friend. All in all, I had a really nice time. The hospitality was really nice (the owner actually came to our table to check on us) and the food was plentiful. Oh yeah, we even had a robot bring our food to us. How cool is that??!! I would absolutely purchase a jar of the sauce alone. CRAB RANGOON FLATBREAD : an elevated version of a favorite take out additive. Sauce to ingredient ratio was to die for! GREEN GODDESS & MANGO SALAD : this salad was dressed to perfection, allowing all items to shine in its each individual way. CHILI CRUNCH TUNA POKE : I mean you quite literally will explode with satisfaction with every bite. The freshness and variety of flavor / texture is impeccable. FRIED RICE W/EGG ON SIDE : you can absolutely distinguish that whoever is on the line preparing your fried rice is doing so with the experience in mind. The preparation of the shrimp, the array of colored FRESH vegetables, and the rice itself. DIRTY MARTINI FETTUCINE PASTA : a blue cheese olive dirty martini is my all time favorite drink so lo and behold, there was a pasta created by its existence. The block of blue cheese down to the plethora of capers, absolute chefs kiss. BBQ DUCK : honestly if this was all I ordered , I would be more than satisfied. This item was accompanied by the most decadent Mac & Cheese , a perfected bowl of collard greens, and the pickled mountain of cabbage. STRAWBERRY CRUMB CRÈME BRÛLÉE : for the most part , I tend to stray away from a crème brûlée due to the lack of creativity. HOWEVER, the strawberry crunch crumbs and that dream of a sugar crust. I could clear a couple plates of this. PASSIONFRUIT & PANDAN TART : this hit every note of a well rounded dessert. The passionfruit was so tart with a subtle sourness that aided the coconut shortbread cookie. I would like to shout out our waitress Fantasia for an amazing service that evening by ensuring the plates never stopped coming, drinks stayed full, and any requests satisfied. As well as Chef Braedon for coming out to introduce himself and explain the magic he placed on our table. My friends and I will most definitely be back.
