Vegan Planet Cafe is amazing! I came with my best friend, and my fries were a hit! With the mushrooms dipped in mango habanero sauce! I loved their vegan sour cream, and sorrel! If you are in Norfolk and looking to try something New! Definitely give Vegan Planet Cafe a try! The owner is amazing, and so friendly! It's a peaceful atmosphere, and family friendly!

I just had the best vegan chicken sammie of my life @ Vegan Planet in Norfolk (it's on Granby next to brows & Meows inside Conscious Planet) First of all you walk (or in my case wobble - I'm disabled and use crutches on my good days to walk) into this place & it immediately makes you feel peaceful. The owner saw me coming from the lot across the street (I'm not the best parallel parker lol) & jumped up to get the door for me. Their menu is plentiful & I couldn't decide so I took their recommendation (next time I'm trying the burger) & I was not disappointed. Crispy, juicy, so flavorful. There was spinach tomato and pickles on it and it was enormous. I looked them up and they have ZERO health code violations. The bookstore is spiritually based and geared mostly toward the African American community. There was a lot of info on the Orishas & they had crystals and some really cool jewelry. The vibe is so wonderful. They were playing good music and everyone was incredibly friendly. If you're in Norfolk I highly recommend you check it out. 10/10 would reccommend. I will absolutely be back.

The fries are not deep fried which is a healthier choice but something to note before you order them. They were cooked in an air fryer they were hot and done but soggy. The vegan sausage and burger was good. They were out of mac and cheese and nachos. This one our main reason for stopping in. The atmosphere was welcoming.

The food was very very very bland. The oxtails was a mixture of potatoes, black-eye peas and lima beans in a gravy, more so like a bean stew served over rice and peas. The rasta pasta was dry. The chicken sandwich with the air fryer fries was ok. Sorry to say... but I won't be returning ever again.

Can I just say I absolutely love this place !!!!! From the great energy to the amazing food. These burgers are so juicy and full of flavor and the rasta smack I am absolutely obsessed with!! Me and my gf are pretty much regulars at this point. But it was our initial first encounter that made us loyal customers, the vibe is so chill and all about the people ! our first time trying them we had such an enlightening conversation with the owner he was so genuine and full of positive energy. Don't take my word for it try them yourself!!!

The flavors are delicious! Great ingredients. So hot and fresh and tasty. Awesome spot for carryout!!

They sell different vegan dishes and most have what they call kush in them. It seems to be some sort of grain, but I really don't know. But I do like it. They have Alfredo, nachos, Mac n cheese, desserts, and smoothies. Some of the food is reasonable and some is pricey. A few desserts were $10-$15. I wanted to try them, but not for that price. We placed our order and looked around the store. They have updated the store/restaurant, so it's a more modern vibe. You can read books or hang out inside, so that's cool. The restroom was clean. There was plenty of seating to dine in. The store side sells books, crystals, jewelry, and more!! The cashier and cook were both very friendly!! I'm not vegan so I stick to what taste familiar to me to be safe. The chili is good, you wouldn't even know it's vegan. Definitely get the vegan nacho cheese to kick it up a notch. It also comes with chips. The alfredo came with veggies and kush. I'm glad it was saucy. I got it fully loaded so it came with a hash brown on top also. It was pretty good, but could use a little more seasoning to elevate the taste.. The last time I ate here the portions were a little larger, they seem to be noticeably smaller this time, so that's the only difference I've noticed. The kush usually confuses my stomach for a few days afterwards. It also may make you feel full faster but, I think it's worth trying. If your a vegan you should check them out, but even if you're not you can probably find something to try! Check them out!!

I can't wait to try this delight during my next visit. Over the past few years, my lactose intolerance has ramped up, which makes each chance to indulge in one of my all-time favorite treats--milkshakes--feel like a true celebration. With an incredible 15 flavors to choose from, I couldn't resist the Bakoko (butter pecan ice cream) temptation. It was amazing--rich, smooth, and creamy, all made from almond milk! Each sip brought back such sweet nostalgia, reminding me of the butter pecan ice cream my parents adored. And let me tell you about the sweet potato cheesecake--it whisked me right back to my Southern grandmother's kitchen, blending the comforting embrace of her baking with the delightful taste of cheesecake. I savored these heavenly desserts for nearly a week, relishing every moment!

A few years ago, they opened this location which has a bar and dine-in service. Sophia and I joined a friend of ours for lunch on Saturday. Let's see how the event turned out. I happened to place a reservation for our table the previous night, but since there weren't many people present, it wasn't necessary. The staff greeted us when we walked inside and got seated immediately. The decor inside was really nice. There's artwork abound, a bar and even a foosball table. Simply put, you should not be bored at a place like this. After looking at the menu, we were all ready to order. I selected their cabbage stew with chicken as the protein with plain jasmine rice and sweet plantains. Overall, the food was good. The stew was presented with medium spice so it definitely had my lips burning (a great thing) and the rice was well cooked. The plantains had flavor, but I felt it was overcooked. It has been a minute since I've eaten plantains but they were always a bit soft. The stew did have plenty of chicken but it could've been cut to slightly smaller pieces. Still, the meal had yours truly full and I did takeout. So did Sophia and our friend. All in all, I had a really nice time. The hospitality was really nice (the owner actually came to our table to check on us) and the food was plentiful. Oh yeah, we even had a robot bring our food to us. How cool is that??!! Anyways, till next time :)
