Salmon gyro
Joey M.

Azar's is close to where I work so I stop in a couple of times a month. The service is always friendly and the food is delicious. My favorite items on the menu are falafel and their gyros. On this particular day I noticed that they had a salmon gyro on the specials board. Decided to try it and now I'm sat here wishing that it was alway on the menu. I hope to see this on the special board again soon.

Mmmm.....Mmmm.....good. So fresh and flavorful and delicious. I went for lunch on a Monday afternoon and at 12 they already had quite a few tables but we were sat right away. I started with the Pick your Pair and ordered the Chicken Tawook Wrap and the Greek Salad. My friend had the Chicken Kebab Platter. The food came out so fast!!! I am sure that's because it is lunch time and people have to get back to work so I did appreciate the speed. So good! The Chicken Tawook Wrap was crispy on the outside with such fresh ingredients on the inside. There is a reason why it is a "Customer Favorite." Greek salad was fresh and delicious. We did order a turkish coffee and a baklava since November 17th is National Baklava Day. That is some strong coffee and will keep you up for hours! So many good options on the menu...I definitely want to try the Gyro. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options and a kids menu. Definitely recommend and I will be back.

This place is the real deal Middle Eastern their flavors are wonderful their menu is easy and well done. We have their sample platter which is hummus baba and tabouli and it was fantastic we also had the baked kibbi dinner and the stuffed eggplant dinner we also had dessert and coffee service was fine the place was clean and there was plenty of people there enjoying food and the prices were Fair all in all it was a wonderful enjoyable dinner and I would definitely go back since it's the only true place and it's only competition as a place called Baladi and that place sucks

First time for this Azar location which was added after their original off Prescott. They are located in the Hilltop Shoppes. Surface parking is plentiful and was debris free. I was greeted by the hostess at lunch and asked about the bar for food. Bartender Alex said typically bar is drinks only for lunch, but they were not busy and allowed. The bar is tiny so I understand. Service was strong and friendly with Alex getting me a water and order of Lamb Burger & fries. The wait was no more than 20 minutes. It was nice to chat with Alex about the business and family history. Their baked goods are made in-house at the other site and transported to Hilltop. They have a display case up front. My sandwich was good, not sure I would get again. I also ordered a carrot cake for desert which was yum! Recommend! Strong service and above average sandwich with scrumptious desert. Need to get back and try more.

My first time at the Hilltop location. The Hilltop location has plenty of parking and is well lit inside. Staff was friendly and expeditious. I had dinner with a friend and family, we all enjoyed our respective dishes. I had the chicken tawook which was plentiful and had a hint of vinegar. The chocolate cake was rich, huge and delicious. I had to take the rest home. Their garlic fries are tasty and savory.

Great lunch spot!!! Had the wrap with the cauliflower soup- the soup was so savory and delicious!!! The sandwich was decent, may pick a different one next time. The food was good and plentiful w unique flavors so definitely will return. The service was fast and efficient, waiter seemed to be handling entire restaurant but did so wonderfully. The room is cute and tastefully appointed. Worth a stop on for a solid lunch meal!

Day three visiting Va. Beach and Azar's is a must. The restaurant is clean and orderly. Fabulous service, our server was spot on great service and friendly. We started with fries. EVERYONE START WITH FRIES they are awesome. Following the super awesome fries we ordered up a tofu wrap with a peasant salad (delicious) , tuna wrap with house salad (excellent) and a falafel wrap with a Greek salad, (delicious). Azar's never disappoints, every time I eat here I am amazed with the quality and consistency of the food and the generosity of the portions. Again I have to compliment the staff. I only wish I would have saved room for desert, their chocolate cake is by far the best I have ever eaten, guess I'll have to get some next time.

This was a first time visit for me. I must say it was the most I've eaten in one sitting in a long time. Everything was amazing and I am definitely looking forward to visiting again. Our waitress was soooo kind, so helpful and really friendly. She was great and I hope to get her again. I was a little bummed that they had some chick-un (vegan) dishes listed on their chalkboard but when I went to order them I was told they didn't have anymore chick-un. I definitely will try them when they have more available. Indoor and outdoor seating is available!

I had heard about Azar from my hairdresser, the foodie that he is. The staff was very friendly, gave me time to go through their menu with a wide selection from appetizers to entrees to salads to wraps to desserts and various choices of combinations. The salmon kebab was great, moist and full of flavor. I ordered my salmon kebab on a salad. The salad was humongous, had hummus, pita sprinkled with balsamic vinaigrette. The salad had some serious heaping of greens, feta, olives, cucumbers, list goes on. Don't leave without trying their Awesome Lia dessert, it's like baklava with warm mascarpone, honey and pistachios!!!

Stopped in for girls dinner! We all split the grape leaves which are by far the best I've had in the area. Two of us got the "Choose 2"- which was choose 2 of soup, salad or wrap. A lot of choices a little overwhelming if you don't have something particular in mind. The other chose the Chicken Tawook which was a lot! I only knocked a star because the pistachio baklava was dry and not that great. Also, not sure- but the desserts all were places in boxes when put away for the night. I know this may be to keep freshness but, from our first impression it appeared as if desserts were boxed not house made as implied.

I've been going to Azar's for about a million years now and I don't know that I've ever critiqued the restaurant. It was really a "broke down palace" a few days ago when we stopped in for early dinner. Let's take it from the top: 1.) Lose the fake flowers and plants. They're awful. It's 2023, you can pay a service to maintain your plants if you can't manage. You can also choose to have no plants, which is better than fake plants. Upon MY visit, the fake plants were laying on the ground outside. Nothing says, "We care!" Like fake plants littering the walk outside your restaurant. 2.) Make sure your fountain is working or get rid of it. When we came in last week, the fountain was in disrepair and oh my, is it ever ugly. Personally, I think you need the fountain as it's the only ambience in the place; I mean that's it, a fountain. Fix it, please. 3.) You may be lacking in ambience but the food is delish and very reasonable, until last week. Are you kidding me guys? You DO know that "Baladi" is just across the parking lot?? I had the braised lamb at Azar's for 22. a plate and it was so very bad. Seriously, I'm not trying to be mean; I like this restaurant and would like to see you back in the saddle. Nothing has been good there since COVID. My lamb was so sadly under-seasoned, veggies were clearly frozen (maybe even canned?) and bulgar wheat was thoroughly dried out. Nothing on my plate was even hot. The only thing that gave me solace was the "Ugly Duckling." It was heavenly per usual but, let's face it, you didn't make that. 4.) No bar. If you're not going to have a bar, you best pick up your food game. Again, there's "Baladi" across the way killing it with amazing food and craft cocktails to die for. It's as though "Azar's" just doesn't care! Like you're depending on your stand by locals and they don't matter enough for you to even buy fresh, sweet corn. Where's your pride? Put some fun, sparkling spritzers or something on the drink menu. Better still, get your ABC license. I have to say, with a heavy heart, I won't be going back to this restaurant unless they have a special or a Grand Reopening or the like. I really felt kinda used at my last visit. Just appalling really. I'm very sad. You just cannot hide it when you don't care and right now, for whatever reason(s), "Azar's" doesn't care.

When we got there, at lunchtime on a weekday, they were packed, but there were a few seats open at a hightop, which we took. Service was great and attentive, as well as helpful as she offered great suggestions and explained how various dishes were made. I tried a cup of their red bean and ham soup (it was the soup du jour) as well as their open face chicken salad sandwich and both were very good. They were both made fresh, in-house with fresh ingredients. Flavors were great too. I really liked the touch of having Dijon mustard on the chicken salad sandwich. I'm a chef myself and travel to different restaurants regularly, so I try to be understanding. That said, the service we experienced yesterday at Stock Pot was unfortunately some of the worst I've had in quite a while. We sat outside, and it honestly felt like we were being deliberately ignored. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet we had to wait long stretches just to get basic things. At one point near the end of our meal, we asked for a box and our check. Instead of bringing it over, the waitresses stood around talking with other waitresses, while we continued to wait. After sitting there for quite a while, we eventually had to ask for the check and box, a second time. Throughout the meal the service was inconsistent. We had three different waitresses checking on us, but were left to sit for about 30 minutes alone at one point, and it took almost 20 to have our order taken, once we ordered, we had to request our appetizer again, after waiting another 20 or so minutes. Upon asking, again, we found out they were out of part of the appetizer we ordered. After that it came out quick. The food, however, was excellent and definitely the highlight of the experience. That's why this review is disappointing to write -- the kitchen is clearly doing a great job. I just hope the service side improves, because it didn't match the quality of the food.

It was non stop; attentive, taking orders, making drinks, checking back with others, she was truly impressive. The places was jumping; it was busy, casual and didn't slow down from the time we arrived until we left. Parking is challenging, there's a small lot beside the restaurant and a small lot behind it so if you can car pool you'll benefit yourselves. Now on to the star of the show - the food! The only knock I had was portion size. In a big guy with an even bigger appetite and when i left there i could've eaten my whole meal over again lol. But that's also because it was delicious. I got the mac n cheese starter, the Beast Burger, tater tots , and the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever had. Literally the biggest slice of cake ever- twice the size of my burger. Everything was delicious, from start to finish and if i were a person that had a normal appetite i would've left full like my friends did. Will definitely be back!

After being seated my server greeted and told what the fish of the day was, which was rock fish but I settled on the Cajun chicken pasta. I didn't wait long for the food at all, at first I thought that was pretty awesome until I received my pasta and it was drier than the Sahara desert. Then to add insult to injury there was a charge to have sauce added but so be it because there was no amount of swishing around my pasta to spread the sauce to even attempt to be satisfied. The sauce creation took longer than it did to get the actual meal and that's what earned the 3 stars because my meal was certainly cold by the time I received the sauce. Ridiculous. My server via it all did check on me and by no means did I hold it against him at all and still tipped him handsomely. I ordered a Modelo, the F&P style fries, and the Mickey Burger. The fries are next-level, very much giving In-N-Out animal style vibes topped with grilled onions, Goodboy sauce, and cheese.
