10/10 would recommend!!! I discovered it at a trivia night at Reaver's Beach Norfolk and I'm really glad I did. They have a wide array of Filipino food, I got the lumpia and pancit and it was actually pretty good! You get to enjoy some Filipino food with some of brewery's good selection of beers! For a small business, they're amazing! Their service is friendly, efficient and you just innately just want to support them as soon you see them. While you're in the brewery enjoying a drink, they'll bring it to you ASAP. Idk where else they do business, but they have a deal with Reaver's Beach Norfolk to provide food every 2nd and 4th Wednesday for their trivia! So get Filipino food, drinks and do some trivia!

Wow SOOOOO good. The adobo fries were delicious!! As you can see, it is a large load of fries with sauce, adobo chicken, and green onions. They also add spam chunks, which is genius. It all goes so well together. I truly loved this fusion. The empanadas were also yummy. They had a good crunch and the sauce was tasty. The staff were super chill. We checked them out at the Filipino Market that recently happened at the shopping complex across from Mt. Trashmore. Their electricity was having problems, so the fries took a long time to come out. That was really the only complaint. I would love to see them get a nice shop. The ambiance is outdoors, food truck kind of style.

Love taking my friends to try the food at Flippin' Hangry! I think they exemplify the perfect balance of modern twists to Filipino classics. Although not pictured, their adobo fries are to die for; of note, the fries are topped with crispy spam strips (delish!!!). And you can never go wrong with their classic pancit + lumpia combo (pictured). Did not disappoint! I totally recommend!!

If you're looking for something unique for lunch or dinner, look no further than Flippin Hangry. I, personally, believe they have the best Filipino food in the area. they are consistently outstanding. I've never had a meal with them that didn't leave me wanting to shout from the rooftop how amazing the meal was. My family and I LOVE their... -ginger chicken lumpia with their red sauce. The lumpia is incredible in its own, and doesn't need any sauce, but if you like to dip, you'll enjoy their red sweet and sour sauce. Even thought the lumpia are fried they're never greasy, and I'm convinced they use magic to achieve that. -pancit noodles. These are amazing by themselves but next level incredible when they top the noodles with their chicken adobo. -chicken adobo. I am not a huge meat eater but I'll never turn down Flippin Hangry chicken adobo. It has so much flavor, and somehow the perfect balance of sweet & salty, so it hits the spot every time. It's just...you need to try it! -fried rice. I am also not really a rice person, but again, I'll NEVER turn down Flippin Hangry fried rice. It is ALSO great with chicken adobo on top. Or, by itself. There's no wrong way to eat it. -they also make UBE cheesecakes. Typically at local markets (I find them at Reaver Beach in Norfolk often), they have mini UBE cheesecakes. If you see them, grab one!! But! You can order a whole UBE cheesecake too! The whole cheesecake Is now the official birthday cake replacement for my son. It is so creamy, the crust is perfect, and it's just the right amount of sweet. If you've never had UBE, this is a great way to experience it the first time. -macaroons. Their macaroons are another great treat. They offer plain, chocolate dipped, and our favorite, white chocolate UBE dipped. While you can find them around the Hampton Roads Area at different markets, breweries and events, they also offer catering services, & they also offer frozen lumpia. Ordering family meals is my family's favorite way to enjoy Flippin Hangry. It is also worth noting that I have a few food allergies that aren't super common, and they are always clear and communicative with me if I order something new. I know not all allergies can be accommodated but it's nice to be able to have a safe place where I can enjoy a great meal. The next time you're out & see their food stand, give them a shot. You'll almost always see a line, and it is always worth the wait. I cannot recommend Flippin Hangry enough. They're incredible and it's very clear they make their food with love.

Although I lived in Red Mill for over a decade, I was never able to visit the original location in that shopping center, so this was a first for us. We came in on a Friday night and easily parked in the attached garage (QR code ease for parking). Wow started with the chicken empanadas and boy, were they yummy. Soooo hot and fresh, you could tell they were made to order (it took a minute to get them). So worth the wait! We devoured them and the breading was heavenly. I chose the Chicken Pancit Bihon (rice noodles) for my entree and my husband went with the Sizzling Sisig (minced pork and onion). Both were hot and fresh but my husband's dish was to DIE for! Sooooo good, I am for sure going to order it next time. The seasoning was perfect, hot and delicious. Yum! We had plans to take our daughter out for dessert for her birthday or I would've absolutely been trying one of those Ube shakes... noms! Next time! Owners were walking around offering tasting of items and were checking in often to make sure all was going smoothly. He gave us a sample of the Calmansi Slushee and it was heaven! Soooo refreshing on a summer day, I can see stopping in during a bike ride to cool off with one of those babies. Beautiful patio outside with tons of covered seats and a pick-up window for easy pick-up right in front was nice. Love this location in Atlantic Park and what it brings to the oceanfront area... excited this new spot is here!

I tried out the caldereta and the mechado (?). I liked both items but I found it too oily for my liking. The vegetables were stewed perfectly and the meat texture were nice and tender. I think had I visited earlier in the day, it may have had a less oily texture to it. The accompanying soup was super sour but acted as a perfect palate cleanser after the oily meals. The service was excellent-- friendly, patient, and helpful. You can pick and choose different entrees over rice or pancit. Similar to getting food from Panda Express. The inside of the restaurant has several family friendly seatings available and baked goods and market also. Lastly, parking is free and plentiful right across from the front entrance. If an out of area Filipino asked for a good place to eat, I wouldn't hesitate recommending them. I certainly wouldn't mind revisiting again in the future.

They didn't have a menu posted, so I was given one when I asked. The food is cafeteria style where your plate is made in front of you. They had several options like fish, pork belly, menudo, lumpia, pancit, rice, sisig, and etc. They also had desserts, chips, turon, and drinks. I chose menudo, pancit, pork belly, and lumpia with a side of sauce for about $15. The prices seemed pretty reasonable. The portions were decent also. The menudo was flavorful and filling the meat was tender but there were a few pieces with fat. The pancit was tasty. It wasn't heavy on vegetables, I wish there were more. The pork belly was crispy and I liked it, but a few pieces were over cooked and had an awkward burnt old flavor. I can't really explain it. But the taste caught me off guard. I enjoyed the lumpia. They had beef inside and went good with the sauce. Their sweet chili sauce is yellow, not like most that are orangeish red. But it was good. The staff was busy. I will be very honest it was like 6pm when we got there there wasn't much food left and they were cleaning the empty trays in the same area where the food was being served , that to me was a bit disappointing and unhygienic. But I put that thought aside and decided to try it anyway. I ordered pancit , adobo chicken and adobo pork, the pancit was tasty but kind of dry , chicken was pretty good but too much vinegar taste , the pork was amazing but very heavy vinegar taste overall I give it an 8/10. My grandson had Pancit , adobo pork and teriyaki chicken he agreed with my same experience but tasty as well. We did order some lumpia we love lumpia that was a 8/10. I also ordered rice milk that I took home with me and had it later on and I must say it was amazing. I also want to say to the young man that took our order it was his 3rd day working there you did amazing keep on doing what you are doing. The guy that served us the lumpia with the curly hair what a sweetheart. My train of thought is as such we will be back but earlier in the day when the food is fresh and just put out there so we can definitely have a better experience. The flavors and seasoning were definitely there. Over all 9/10 we will be back

Sad to say that out of all the food we got, the only thing that made me happy was the small slice of sapin-sapin. These days I have 2nd thoughts on going because I'm afraid I'll end up wasting money on food we end up not enjoying. Bring back the good old days when people weren't being rushed to order, and food tasted like it wasn't rushed to make, the kind that your Lola or Nanay would cook and serve to their loved ones. Because back then this place wasn't just another place to eat. It was like going to a family's house or a friend's house where you feel welcomed. And when you eat, the food brings happiness and comfort because it reminds you of your Lola or Nanay's cooking, it reminds you of home.
