HomePro Operating, LLC is a predatory company that preys on unsuspecting consumers with its unethical business practices. If you're considering their services, think again. From my personal experience, I can tell you that HomePro is nothing but a scam business that will stop at nothing to trap you into a contract and bleed you dry. When I first spoke with their representative, I was promised that I could cancel the service anytime without any problem. However, when I had to move to a new state, I discovered that canceling the subscription was not as easy as promised. Instead, they gave me the runaround and offered only the option to transfer the service to the new homeowner. They even had the nerve to tell me that it was my fault for moving, which is an outrageous and unacceptable response. But that's not even the worst part. HomePro is now demanding a whopping $900 to cancel my subscription, which is the remaining 22 months of the contract. This is a blatant attempt to extort and squeeze more money out of me. If I had known about this penalty beforehand, I never would have agreed to their services in the first place. HomePro is not only scamming people, but they are also failing to deliver on their promises. They offer services in Texas only, but they never bothered to inform me of this fact until it was too late. Now, they are trying to force me to pay for a service that they cannot even provide. It's high time that we take a stand against these unethical business practices. Don't be fooled by HomePro's false promises of flexibility and easy cancellation. They are nothing but a scammer, and you should stay far away from them. Sarcastic star rating by the way i would give negative stars if possible...to start I read the reviews and was noticing there is way too many negative ones to ignore.I had my own experience that was bad I am just glad I didn't go with there security service. The guy that wanted to sell me the security monitoring package Joel Greco was nice and sounded professional about the products but went on to tell me my neighbors business about where they lived and what their jobs are, raised an eyebrow for me because i don't want people telling my business all around the neighborhood. So i think we are meeting up to get a presentation of things in this whole homeport pack but man didn't even try to sell it and show me what it does although i figured it out pretty quick (basic a*& mobile security app). Soon as I said I'm really not too interested in their security pack...this man says are you sure ?? i said yes not too thrilled with the service from you guys as of now...He starts packing up his notebook and all and says well hope nothing bad happens to your house we could send some guys over to burglarize your place *jokingly obviously to change your mind... I was sure to tell him send them over, nothing in my place will be worth their lives trust me ...We will be waiting Chow shepherd and German shepherd never seem to get enough to eat too. I am taking their business as serious as they do sorry not biting the bait... I recommend anyone reading the homepro reviews to BeLIEve them... Horrible customer service... There are so many one star reviews for a reason! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! The only professional was the salesman. I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with HomePro Alarm Company, and I must say it has been a frustrating ordeal from start to finish. From malfunctioning equipment to shoddy customer service, this company has proven to be entirely unreliable. Firstly, the equipment they provided was faulty right from the installation. The alarm system frequently malfunctioned. Despite numerous attempts to get the equipment fixed, the issues persisted, causing undue stress and inconvenience. The customer service was equally disappointing. Each time I called to report a problem, I was met with unhelpful representatives. They seemed more interested in passing the buck rather than providing any real solutions. On several occasions, I was promised a callback would be sent out, only for no one to follow up, leaving me waiting for days. To make matters worse, the alarm system experienced constant outages. There were several instances where the system went offline entirely, leaving my home unprotected for extended periods. Despite my repeated complaints, there was no sense of urgency or concern from the company. In summary, my experience with this Alarm Company has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their malfunctioning equipment, poor customer service, and frequent outages make them an unreliable choice for anyone seeking home security. After completing due diligence/research with Highland Homes, I have been very impressed by our account representative Christopher Dennis and HomePro's Media/Audio/Security product base and Demo rooms at your headquarters. Christopher has been extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and patient ever since we started construction on our new home back in November-December. He initially set up an exploratory meeting and was helpful in explaining the best possible solution(s) that fit my budget and needs. The project was completed on-time, with high-end products, and the install was not only smooth but most importantly - neatly done/dressed. And the sound(s) and picture(s) in my entire new home are incredible. Christopher also took the time to explain the products and the time to educate me on their use both before, during and after the install. As a matter of fact, Christopher has been outstanding throughout the entire process. He has always promptly returned phone calls, emails and texts even during after-business hours. Christopher even helped me in non Home-Pro related questions in regards to my purchasing of new appliances and a tablet/laptop for my personal use. My wife and I are very pleased and we highly recommend both Christopher and Home-Pro. Since posting this message, I did reach out to Kedrick at HomePro per the below message. Essentially, what it boils down to is, I'm stuck in a 5 year contract where I'm the only one held accountable! If I don't pay my bill, I get no service. However, if HomePro service doesn't work, I'm still obligated to pay my bill. I'm told, to give them an opportunity to correct the problem ... but, after having had to make several calls within only a little over month service, quantifies as more than giving a chance. Not only that, my alarm has gone off at 4am, triggered by a motion detector that wasn't active, I on several occasions had to bypass zones in my house to set my alarm. I have no idea what alarm within my house is triggered because everything is in essence on the one of three zones. So, if there is a breach at the front of the house, we won't know if we should run out of the front door or hide in the closet. Last night around 11pm before going to bed, I tried to arm my system and was unable to do so. They had to have a technician to walk me through reprogramming my keypad. **** I'm forewarning you, if you're having a home built and HomePro installed your system, you have no obligation to commit to a 5 year contract for crappy service. I would strongly encourage you to do your homework and go with another provider! read more

Promptly on Monday am, I received a call from Andrea Moore, HomePro Security Consultant. Andrea was fantastic from the beginning of the process to the end. Thorough, professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and flexible. She answered all my technology/security/integration questions and helped me find the perfect safety/security solution for my home, at a competitive price. I was with my previous security company for 20 years... and consider myself a loyal customer (hesitant to switch). Andrea helped me see how HomePro's Systems (doorbell camera, outdoor cameras, smart door lock) integrate for a seamless monitored security experience. We purchased a model home that was five years old. Home Pro security installed the smart home system that came with the home at purchase. After five years the smart home system was outdated, and some key security components were missing to get the system up and running properly. Working with the builder and HomePro to get our system up and running presented some challenges because the builder was telling HomePro to do one thing and telling me what I wanted to hear, which was not consistent. After visiting with Austin, a Manager with HomePro, and explaining what my understanding was from the builder, Austin went above and beyond HomePro's obligations and responsibilities to ensure we had the system we were told by the builder we were getting. With that said, I can't say enough about the HomePro technician (Abdul Elias) that completed all the technical work on our system. We now have a high quality, fully functional smart home system, thanks to Austin's support and Abdul's outstanding work. Our builder required us to use HomePro for our media/cabling installation. It was a great experience. Our sales guy, Aaron, did a good job of helping us figure out where to place speakers and the various outlets we would need for internet, cable, and electrical connections. The work was all done correctly during the build process, and when we asked for a couple of things to be moved slightly, it was all done just as we asked. After move-in, our installers, Alberto C. and Chris M., were great. They came when they said they would, and they were quick, cleaned up after themselves, and took time to explain how things worked and how to use the universal remote (a great tool, by the way) and the phone app to easily control all our devices and which rooms get what audio. They even gave us advice for when we wall mount a couple of other TVs that we weren't having them mount. We also never had trouble with people not answering the phone. If I could a -10 stars I would. I have a brand new home I purchased with Cambridge homes. As told by the sales person Cambridge homes is Homepro's biggest contract. The house is pre wired. Here's the photos of how they installed the doorbell on my new build. He broke the screws on my doorbell (said nothing). Drilled new holes without my permission. This looks like a two year old did the install. He left and thought this was ok. Do not go with this company!!!! At all. The reviews speak for themselves and so does this photo. I will be informing the builder tomorrow. HomePro if this is not fixed you'll get the lawsuit next. I'll be damned if it goes down like this! AND J.C.G don't write me because clearly if you were taking care of things within your company you wouldn't still have 1 star and hundreds of unhappy customers. My husband and I are extremely pleased with the service we just received from a HomePro technician. We had a curiosity question about the red lights that were on in our security systems uplink box and on our way home from working out, we saw a HomePro truck and stopped to visit with the technician in his truck. Though he was a home sound technician, and was just finishing up a job and probably headed home, as it was that time of day, he was so good about going out of his way to come over to our house and got the proper person in security on the phone to walk him through the steps to check our security system out, complete with setting off the alarm and all to let us know whether the system was working properly. Even though the system was not functioning properly, we were pleased with how the technician went out of his way. The technician's name was Joaquin Oliver, and he is to be praised! read more

I wanted to share a wonderful experience I had with Home Pro due to Marjorie Morales. Although I had cancelled my service with Home Pro which is not a positive experience for the company, she was very professional and attentive to my needs and helped me thought the process. For whatever reason, my final payment and cancellation notice were never received by Home Pro. Marjorie stayed in contact with me until both of these items arrived and were cleared. This time frame lasted two weeks which was very unusual but Marjorie stayed in touch and made sure that my account was taken care of and properly closed. This is very unusual and fully demonstrates the commitment she had for me even though I was leaving her company's service. Home pro works with First Texas Homes I do not suggest either I have been in my new home for almost 7 months and they just got the Savant system to work, I do not think they know what they are doing when it comes to the Savant system I was told by more then 1 rep that they have never seen so many Savant switches in a home, now I paid for every switch but they were over whelmed with them. I have to say the techs that came out Ryan and Jason were AWESOME. This has been a nightmare, I also bought the Central Vacuum System as well and it was not cheap!! I was lied to by the sales person about when it would be installed he said 2 weeks before we close but it was almost a month before they came out. The cameras they use are extremely cheap as well, I do not suggest using them, my opinion is anyone that works with First Texas home is just as bad as they are..avoid both!! read more

Me and my wife found our dream home in Roanoke,TX and our builder used Homepro for our security and media work. Our Homepro salesman, Jason L., was incredibly knowledgable and made our experience of picking out our wiring plan wonderful. Not pushy at all. Once the initial process was completed we wanted to double check what we were getting so we contacted Homepro and they had a quality control guy meet us at our home. Chance, the quality control guy, answered every technical question we had and explained small nuances of why certain things were installed in certain ways. He was very knowledgable and super friendly and outgoing. Didn't like that I got lumped into a new 1 year reactivation with Homepro after my 3 year contract was over. Wish that I got a notification or phone call in the 2 months prior period before it got reactivated, but they redeemed themselves with exceptional customer service and technical support. I had a sensor that was obviously bad after about a year of install, but it was already out of warranty and honestly, I forgot about it. After kids were old enough to start opening doors, I knew it was time to get the sensor fixed. Homepro customer relations specialist worked with me and covered the entire cost of service call out, labor and parts and all is working properly in the home now. I've been with Home Pro since January. Each time I set my alarm off, they would call me until this past month. It turns out that my phone had stopped receiving their calls (something about 1-800 number blocking). Anyways, after going around and around with customer service I asked to speak with the Home Pro supervisor. Brent Peveto jumped on the call and was able to speak with the monitoring center and determine that the solution is for me to save the 1-800 number they use in my phone so my phone recognizes the call and accepts it. Brent provided the exact service and advice I was hoping for and actually took the time to listen to my frustrations. I hope that Home Pro trains all of their customer service reps to handle calls like Brent handled mine. Thanks Brent! read more

So as you can all see I have spoken with the company several times and it appears that everything is getting fixed. I have spoken with Cory in the tech side to get the DVD player fixed and while the warranty had ran out they are honoring it and extending it because of all of the issues I have had. Also with regards to the alarm monitoring I was able to speak with Ms. Romo and she was very nice and polite and was able to answer all of my questions and help us resolve our issues. If they continue to do this type of customer service then I would recommend this company. One of the biggest things is full disclosure up front.
