Because of the nature of our operation, I was looking for high-quality equipment and overall service and was willing to pay to receive it. After reviewing.my needs with a handful of providers with good reviews, I chose Settler because my conversation with Nelson inspired confidence. As expected, I was pleased with all aspects of the process. What I did not expect, however, was that I would receive products and service that exceeded my lofty expectations at an extremely competitive price. Nelson was transparent throughout the process and helped me select high-quality equipment that met my specific needs while staying within my budget. I was also surprised by the level of operational support provided. Nelson showed me how to use all of the features, but he also set up a number of parameters in advance based on our original discussion without requiring further input. And that support did not stop once the products were installed and the final invoice issued. I am still receiving support on a regular basis. Anytime I have questions, answers are a quick phone call away. Finally, due to my own oversight, my were entirely unreasonable. The 50-ft HDMI cable they sold and installed couldn't carry a 4K HDR signal, which is the main thing I bought the system for. Instead of identifying the cable, I was told my receiver was to blame, so I replaced it -- and the problem persisted. When it still failed, a technician reconfigured my Apple TV to output 1440p instead of true 4K, presented it to me as a working HDR setup without mentioning the downgrade, and left my other sources disabled. I ended up diagnosing it myself. I bought a certified replacement cable, swapped only the cable, and everything now works -- genuine 4K HDR, with all sources functioning. The appliance department may be competent, but a misdiagnosis and a picture quietly downgraded and passed off as "working" cost me time, money, and trust. For a home theater install there are more capable options -- and after this, I'd look elsewhere for appliances too.

I was in the market for my 3rd or 4th security system switch up, and decided to go with Aegis, as…read moreI've seen many of my neighbors and several friends have used them. I had a pretty large and difficult Elk system, which was previously Honeywell, that I needed completely removed and replaced with a specific system I had done my research on. From the start Aegis was very helpful and open to whatever type and brand of system I wanted to install. The job was a long one.. they had to start with figuring out what wires were for what zones, because nothing was labeled. I live in a 100 year old home, and that is always an added joy to deal with when it comes to crawling beneath, or getting thru plaster walls and ceilings, but the Aegis guys never complained. They came back day after day, week after week until the new system was up and running! They had to remove the old panel, label each wire for all of my 75(ish) zones, move the location of the new panel, test signal strengths(since my plaster walls can be an issue at times), and add repeaters where necessary. They even came back after all was said and done to make sure every zone was labeled to my liking, and to make sure they had not missed anything! Although the job was probably more effort than the cost, they still did the whole thing with never even telling me something couldn't be done, or I'd be charged extra. I def. Would recommend Aegis Systems to anybody In the Dallas area looking for a great Security company! Update: Have been waiting for weeks to have the security panel moved over 1-2ft for an extension project currently underway on my home. Come to find they didn't show today because they decided to hold appt hostage, for $1100 that was due. This additional balance was for several service calls, that I wanted to make sure were warranted since they were calls to finish, or fix things that weren't completed with the system install. Didn't think it was fair to charge me for several "service calls" when it was trips to get the system up and running smoothly. Thought the 18k I had spent already warranted a complete system with no low battery alarms for several glass breaks setting the alarm off continually at 2am... waiting for the owner to call me to see how we remedy this issue.
