This is one of the nicer and bigger HomeGoods in San Diego. I have found things at this location that I haven't found at any of the other local ones. Big selection, especially in the kitchen tools, glasses, food, etc. I sometimes come looking for items for work or the house. Easy enough to find a parking place in the shopping center. But getting in and out of the shopping center can be trickier. One main exit near HomeGoods, plus a small entrance from eastbound Llomas Santa Fe that comes in at the edge of the HomeGoods area. Staff are friendly and helpful, but you may be waiting in line to checkout at peak times. read more

It is always a pleasure to visit any of the Homegoods Stores. My usual Homegoods is in El Cajon, as that particular store is the closest to where I live. However, I often have lunch at one of the restaurants in nearby Rancho Santa Fe. This Homegoods store is located at the intersection of Interstate 5 and Lomas Santa Fe Drive, which is the same exit one takes for Rancho Santa Fe. Although there is a parking lot right out front, it is rather tightly organized, so it is a bit difficult to get around. There is only one handicapped parking space. There is also a side door that I may try next time, since it is much quieter than the main entrance door. All of the objects in the store are great, and very reasonably priced. I often go in just to look around, but I invariably come out with some treasure. In fact, even my computer chair came from this Homegoods! Don't miss the furniture section! read more

I don't understand why the employees at Home Goods have to be rude and condescending. I went in today to look for couple of Halloween buckets and other unnecessary items for my house. I ended up buying two Halloween buckets and a roll of wrapping paper. The older lady who helped me made the most racist comment. I am of Asian descent and she looks at me and puts the roll of wrapping paper in between the handles of the two Halloween buckets and says oh look it looks like you're working at the rice fields. I just look and her in disbelief as why this lady is telling me this. I looked at her and said good thing I don't work at a rice fields. She really pissed me off. This is not the first time she made ridiculous rude comments to me and my kids. Looks like Home Goods has slim pickings as to who they are hiring these days. read more

I always tend to find myself at homegoods, I constantly find myself there when in need of everyday appliances. I stopped by after having Jersey Mikes in the shopping center and I was in a little bit of a rush. Josie, one of the employees there was especially helpful, she realized my sense of urgency and was also a truly kind person. One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Rude and unprofessional. The checker was talking to the other customers in the other line and ignoring me, the person who was standing right in front of her who she was assisting. I couldn't understand what she said and she got huffy with me and was impolite. The she didn't say thanks or even goodbye. I don't think it's too much to ask to just be attentive to the person who you are assisting. Makes me not want to shop there again. I will just go to Pt Loma where I shop with no insulting behavior if I need something at HG or a different store altogether. Nothing worse than to be spending money and be treated rudely. read more

I visit this location whenever I am in the area, last time I was there, I had put an item on hold for a very short time accidentally the cashier sold it. I was so heartbroken over it. The manager was called to the checkout station. Her name is Blanca Hernandez. She apologized, and she assured me that she will try to find another one from a different location at the time. I thought she was just telling me this for the moment she went above and beyond checking with other locations, talking to the other managers and finding another piece contacted me gave me the address went and got it. Amazing customer service as well. The nicest person ever I remember before all of this had happened. She passed by me and greeted me. I will definitely go back. This is by far the worst store ever I bought a hand dispenser but there was a part missing that I didn't notice until I have poured soap . I went back to see if I can return it because it was faulty. Cashier was rude I don't remember if her name was Danni but she had a strong accent. Either Russian or Ukrainian. She decided to get the missing part to "fix" it for me. She said they couldn't take it back because I had used it and they were going to put it back and no one else was going to buy it. I asked why would they put a faulty item back. I got a reply it's store policy. I wanted to speak to Kristin because I had called the store prior to arriving. The cashier that rung me didn't want to call her and said she's manager too. I told her I didn't want to speak to her but to Kristin and kept asking me for what. They finally called Kristin and she gladly returned it. I don't know why she had to make it a big deal. read more

I usually shop at the Encinitas location.... which is usually an adventure in digging through random things that are squeezed onto shelves with little rhyme or reason...... Enter into the Solana Beach location-- everything is neat and clean! No digging and having to move 5 things just to look at an item at the back of the shelf. This location is huge in comparison as well- larger aisles and a much bigger inventory. I had gone to the Encinitas location two days earlier and found a wider variety of things here. There are a few quirks you have to learn about: There are two checkout areas, the one on the east side of the store is designated for large items as they have parking spaces immediately outside and can help you load items in. Also if you are getting a large item such as a rug, you need to flag down an employee who can help you get the item and they'll take the price tag to the cashier to ring it up for you. With two checkout areas, the lines move fast, so it's easy to get in and out. Let's do it! read more

I love homegoods stores. Unfortunately today, I did not have a good experience at this location. The cashier who did my return was extremely unwelcoming and rude. No hello, good bye, smile, nothing. She just demanded the tag for the item, which was attached to the merchandise if she looked properly. Even when it was time to return money on my card, she just stood there, didn't tell me to insert my card, just stared at me. It was the most awkward transaction. She also gave me an attitude when I tried to return an additional item that was purchased at another tjmaxx/homegoods store that they don't accept at this location. As if I'm supposed to know that when the receipt clearly states i purchased at a tjmaxx/homegoods store. I love every homegoods employee I come across, but a heads up, cashier #1053, she's not the friendliest. read more

One of my favorite chains is Home Goods. They have so many great things if you are redecorating or wanting to get your house ready for the holidays. This location is out of the way for me but since I was in the neighborhood, I had to come by. In general, it has the same set up as the other locations. They have large visuals hanging from the ceiling so it is easy to locate the section you need. Or you can do what I normally do and go up and down every aisle. They have a good selection of items. If you shop at the other locations and need more of the same items, there is a good chance that it is available here too. Just make sure that you come during the same week. Customer service wasn't nearly as good as the Pt Loma or Mission Valley location. No one was working the shop floor checking on customers to see if they needed assistance. The cashiers don't chat you up. They ring the sale and move on to the next customer. I liked that it is conveniently located right off the freeway. There are two entrances so make sure where you park. If you live nearby and need something new for your home for yourself or a loved one, swing by. read more

I really love to just drop in and see what is new and exciting at home goods ... I was looking for a new buffet ... I had something specific in mind ... there is no particular day that shipments come in so for a month I would drop in 2-4 times a week. I FOUND WHAT I WANT!! So perfect and at a great price! Our vet is in the same center as HomeGoods, so I always have to stop in and browse when I'm in the area. I don't always purchase something, but I still like to look for deals. I usually can find something in the kitchen section that I somehow need to have like a really big spatula or baguette oven tray. They also have a great pet section filled with tons of dog beds along with other pet products like bowls, treat/food containers, shampoo, toys, leashes, etc. I just got a pet harness that was only $12.99 when online it's usually around $30. There is also usually a seasonal section with specific products that rotate in/out. With COVID, the store has taken measures to only allow a certain number of shoppers in the store, placing stickers to indicate the direction of the aisles that people should walk and stand in line at checkout (though no one seems to follow them except me), sanitized carts inside, and masks being required. I definitely appreciate the measures they have taken here. Checkout can be super fast or slow and isn't that consistent, but the service is always friendly. read more

Home Goods is like a treasure hunt, there are so many things but personally i can never leave empty handed, at the end i do find my treasures and its not always something that i came initially to look for.;) This store can be a bit overwhelming, there is so much stuff!! However the workers keep it pretty clean and organized and happy to help you and navigate you to the right isle. This store is open pretty late so going around 8 pm is the best, because there are almost no one there. Location is super convenient, right off the freeway in Loma Santa Fe Plaza. This is why retail is dying... The main reason I come here instead of buying on Amazon is so that I can pick something up quickly. There was one cashier working the register who was also handling returns and wrapping. This is pathetic and it is no wonder retail establishments are going out of business when they are overlooking the low-hanging fruit such as in-person customer service. There were at least three other employees on the floor that could have manned the registers but they pretended to be too busy to notice despite the overwhelmed cashier requesting help at least four times. I guess it was an emergency to get those trinkets placed on the shelves immediately... Ended up just buying the picture frames on Amazon after 10 minutes in line and left the store without buying anything. read more

The associates are always willing and eager to help. I always end up picking something up for my wife. My only gripe is that their carts aren't big enough! I rather enjoy this Home Goods. It's layout follows the Home Goods template with one major exception -- there are two entrances, a left over from when this building was a Ross. The store associates are friendly and helpful. COVID best practices are promoted, but customers seem disinclined to observed social distancing in the aisles. There seems to be more stock in the store than there was even three months ago. Located just east of the 5 on Loma Santa Fe, access is easy, and parking is plentiful. As with other Home Goods, the Gourmet Food aisle is a great source of items like black truffles -- not the candy! read more

This review is for Joyce, the manager, every time I come into this store she's here and she's so rude and condescending. Today was the last straw. She was chit chatting with a coworker when another worker kept asking for her help by name and asking her to come to her section. She went to the front to "help" when the coworker clearly was asking for help in sheets. When she returned from the front she said something like oh nobody needed help and proceeded to continue her conversation about wanting to go home with the coworker she was originally talking to interrupted and told her to help the other coworker in sheets. When she finally ended helping her coworker in sheets, she was so rude and kept saying mean/ condescending things to a YOUNG GIRL working there and asking for help. She basically just asked someone else to help and was no help at all for "the manager." I feel bad for the workers here if this is the person you have for leadership. Fire her immediately! read more

Great looking HomeGoods! The front of the store kind of looked a tiny bit like a Spanish-style mansion haha. HomeGoods is one of my favorite stores in general. I love all their home decor, makes me want to hoard decorations for every season lol. My favorite thing about HomeGoods is their discounted Keurig Cups. They carry the Starbucks brand but the stores aren't consistently carrying them. Sometimes you'll find the 10 cup box for $5.99 and if you're lucky they'll have the 32 pack for $16.99 at some stores. Anyway, it's a great store to find nice houseware at discounted prices! read more

I really love this home goods store, it is off the 5 on the Lomas Santa Fe exit. They have a lot of stuff in the store! Everything is sorted divided up into sections such as dishes, bathroom items, general decor items, office stuff, rugs, lighting, etc. There for a while it seemed that each section had its own little clearance section. But when I was there the other day, they have reorganized everything, and some of the little clearance areas aren't there anymore. Items can be really pricey but when they go on sale they are great deals. I normally don't care for that needle-in-a-haystack sort of shopping, but I have found some great deals here. I try to go on my lunch hour sometimes and it's really not enough time to get a good look at everything so you either need to go more often or have more time LOL! The restrooms are really nice and clean and the employees are really nice. One gentleman offered to take a larger item up to the register for me while I continued to shop and I appreciate that sort of service. The store is in a great shopping mall that has lots of other things in it, like a bank, a grocery store, etcetera so you can get a lot of other things done while buying some cool stuff for the house! I suggest you go here unless you don't want to get hooked like I did! read more

This is a large store with so many quality items at reasonable prices. Thank you so much for a large assortment of Chanukah menorahs, candles, dreidels and such. These are getting slimmer in most stores and it means a lot to see a large beautiful display! One suggestion is to add an assortment of boxed quality Chanukah cards. Barnes and Nobles no longer carries them and I can't find any in North County, sad to say. read more

Forget having to hit Marshalls, TJMaxx, and Ross to collectively find all the housewares you need or want. Home Goods has it all. From pet items to furniture. I love the bright colors and also appreciate how they keep it organized. No aisles littered with product. Hard to find sales help on the floor. Tons of glassware, vases and kitchen items. They even have a snack aisle. I really like that they have tons of throw pillows. Lots of color and texture choices. . Overall fantastic place to style your home. Forget good, its great! read more

This Home Goods is a treasure trove! The ladies of North County flock here on the regular to pick up everything from throw pillows to major furniture and I'm no exception! Although I do feel the aisles are JAM PACKED, sometimes to the point of being precarious, I forgive 'em because generally its just cause there is so much good stuff!! I find that this location is particularly good for rugs and pots for your plants. They've got a good selection of both most of the time and the pricing is really reasonable. Also worth mentioning is the MAJOR amount of throw pillows, and swoon, my OCD Heart! They color coat them on the shelves so you can walk straight to the spectrum you're looking for. Lines can be rough as far as wait times for checking out and finding someone to give you a hand if you're buying a giant chair or a shelf has proven difficult in my (so many) visits. The location of this HomeGoods is pretty convenient and easy to get to, as it is just on the east side of the Lomas Santa Fe exit off the 5. This particular HomeGoods is by far my favorite place to shop for discounted, yet still classy and up-to-date, decorative items for our house. They have pretty much everything you are looking for, and I am always thoroughly impressed with the amount of beach items and furniture they have at this location. There are always several employees on the floor, rearranging existing items on the shelves and organizing new inventory throughout the store, so it usually isn't hard to find someone to help you if you need it. I have been here at least a handful of times, and I swear I never spend anything less than an hour at this store. There is just so much to look at here, so allow yourself time to get lost in all this store has to offer. My biggest complaint is that the amount of time to check out is often longer than one would hope for, and they do have quite a few registers so it is a little perplexing that only 1-2 are open at any given time. I went into this lovely store to purchase some accessories for my new apartment. They have a large variety of home decor and they fluctuate items frequently. The store is very clean and organized. They also have a great selection of candles. The employees are wearing masks and are following covid procedures; one employee stuck out to me. A young lady on the register named isabella was quite lovely and very efficient with our transaction. She asked the right questions, and made sure that we found everything okay. She was being super clean, and sanitizing her station as well. I have been helped by this young lady here before when I was navigating my way around the store and boy was she helpful! I appreciate all of her hard work and help! I will definitely be returning to find more home decor for my new place! read more

It's such a gem I don't want other people to find out about this location :P This HomeGoods is pretty large with a nice selection of kitchen, bed, bath, children and furniture items. The store is very clean and well-stocked. There is a good turn over of items so every week there are new additions to check out. Despite the chaos of the shopping complex, parking is usually easy to find. A major shout out to the employees who are super friendly and helpful. I didn't give it 5 stars because some of the deals aren't that great and the prices are higher than TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Plus, on the weekends, it can get very busy and the check out line can get long. read more

This Home Good is so much better than the Encinitas location. I seem to find things here more often than not. In my last visit, I was looking for a new step stool for my little one's bathroom and I know HG usually has a lot of them in stock. Within minutes of stepping into this store, I found a perfect gray stool that was sturdy and in great condition. Her room is white, gray and pink so it could not be more perfect. The scalloped steps gave it the feminine touch needed. My little one now has all the step stools that she needs around the house - and I will continue to stub my toe on them (sigh). If you're a HG fan, I recommend visiting this store. They seem to pack a lot more inventory in here and call me crazy, but it seems like their stuff is more organized???? ha! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service from the Manager on Duty!. Had a return from another Homegoods that was sold without a lampshade. I tried to return it and she said they never sell something like that and walked away, I explained they had others and she turned her back and in a rude tone said "no". When I tried to ask a question she kept walking away. I frequent Homegoods on a weekly basis and honestly makes me question if I should go back. Parking is plentiful on both sides of the store, which could be a problem if you've ever used parking as an excuse to not go shopping. "The Goods": This is the best store if you are looking for higher end furniture, rugs, and decorative items for your home. Also, they have a lot of ocean and sea inspired items. Even the holiday items have ocean/sea themes and color schemes. Lots of great furniture pieces-media consoles, accent chairs, bookshelves, area rugs. Extensive selection of throw and decorative pillows. Great section of kids items both for decoration and toys. Parent hint: great place to buy books! They are discounted and they have a lot of popular children's books in great condition. Kids-I would not suggest bringing little kids in here. Lots of breakable items, BUT this place is way more fun when you are here alone searching for a hidden gem for your home. Make sure you bring your own bags! I suggest large bags considering it is hard not to purchase a lot. However, you can wheel everything in your cart out to your car and load it in also. Save yourself $$$ in bags.
