If it were just one associate, I'd chalk it up to her having a bad day, as we sometimes all have, and not bother with this review. Love love love this store. When you think of HomeGoods, think accessories! Yes, this is not a furniture store. It's a place where you can find items to change a look in your home. Examples would be linen, rugs, candles, odds and ends, throw pillows, wall art, lamps, chairs, end tables, kitchen items! I could spend hours in that store and the prices are fantastic!! I recently changed the look of my entire living room by changing out the lamp shades, placing candles on coffee table and changing out the throw pillows as well as the rug. I got so many compliments on my home decor. read more

This HomeGoods location is pretty solid with a good selection and a wide variety. It's a little smaller than other locations which makes it feel a little crowded but overall a good store. The prices as with any HomeGoods are pretty reasonable. read more

This Homegoods is brand new, clean and full of great deals. It's a great place to get random kitchen gadgets, plates, rugs, furniture and more. However, almost every employee I've dealt with at this location has been untrained/apathetic/lazy...delivering customer service way below the mark. The last time I was in here they refused to help a mom with a baby strapped to her chest take a tag off a giant rug so they could scan it. Expecting her to pick the rug up and search for where the tag was placed. This was after making her wait over 30 minutes to get the rug and not helping her carry it to the front - my son and I ended up lugging to the front for her. Don't ever think about using the register in the back of the store. I had one item to purchase and the gal Samantha is probably new... But, it took her fifteen minutes to get through AND no one really came to help her until we voiced our concerns. Even then, the lady that came to help her said "I'm busy doing tags"... So I literally had enough time to write this review while standing in line waiting. I'll probably avoid this Home Goods in the future and visit other ones around the area. Still haven't paid, probably should have walked out, but the girlfriend really wants these plastic containers.. I was super excited when HomeGoods opened in Orange! I was so happy to not have to deal with the weird and often packed parking at the District in Tustin. I am not going to lie, I spend way to much money at HomeGoods and probably have one too many Rae Dunn mugs (but they are so cute) but I love, love, love HomeGoods. For the most part, the store is neat and well organized. Staff is cheerful and friendly. I am constantly find fun gifts for friends or something cool for my house or a fun toy for my pup. They have good deals on coffee and it is my place to go for seasonal/holiday decor. My only gripe would be on occasion, they have only had one person working the register which can make the wait to checkout, pretty long but it never stops me from coming back. read more

Why haven't I discovered Home Goods until now?! After going to one I decided to check out the other surrounding Home Goods in my area. I went to the one in Brea, Huntington Beach, and this location. So far I like this one the best. It's more organized. So much home goods to browse through! I spent like 2+ hours in each store and left with a few items for my baby's nursery and kitchen. Finally! A HomeGoods close to me!! (Even though I'm about to move :/ ) We came in to take a look and all I can say is WOW! It doesn't look like it was ever an Old Navy! It is super spacious with tons of selection! We walked in and were greeted immediately! BTW you can bring your pets in here too! This location blows away the other 2 locations (Brea, Yorba Linda). The staff is friendlier and they put 2 areas to check out! One in the front of the store and one in the back so you can enter through the mall as well! The store is extremely clean, well lit and organized as well, it doesn't make you feel like your in a CF! I love the fact that theres a bigger pet selection and I was able to find some of King Louie's treats that normally are $5-$6 at Petco I found for $2.99! Around 6pm checked out and was ready to leave. Walked towards the inside exit to walk thru the mall back to my car that was parked behind Walmart and meet with my daughters that were at the Ulta store. Noticed that the door was closed. I asked and employee why the door was closed and her reply was we close it because foot traffic is slow! When I asked if they could let me go thru that way I was informed very rudely NO. I explained that my car was parked really far and that it was not safe for a women to walk that far alone in the dark I was told I was ridiculous and treated like I had asked them for something unreasonable! I am sorry that something so simple as to show common courtesy is so difficult. I am so disappointed with these humans behavior and will never go into or spend another penny in this store! All the women who shop in this store be aware they don't care if their customers may be risking their safety in the dark empty parking lot. read more

This is one of the best Homegoods I have ever been to! Everything is neat, organized and has a price tag. Employees were abundant and polite when I asked them questions. No line at checkout, unlike many other locations. I do wish they had a bigger rug section, but everything else seemed well stocked. Lots of furniture here as well, but a lot of it seemed damaged. I love visiting this place! Though not all the things are organized; I find it a very fun place to sift through. My favorite section is the kitchen and treat area! I'm always trying to find new gadgets to bring into my kitchen or treats to share with my mom and lil brother. This store is connected to the village/other stores inside the mall. So if the mall is closed, then you can't enter the mall through homegoods and vice versa. This happened to me as I was coming back from bath and body works. Homegoods told me that they close at 11pm tonight but they oulled down the metal doors from inside the mall. But they are actually still open, you just have to enter through the outdoor entrance. There's no restrooms here, unlike other homegoods. Restrooms are in the mall. read more

I give this store a one star. I went in on Friday August 26th for a return. They young man that took care of me was new and had a few challenges but was extremely courteous. Then I went off shopping for a new rug. I seen an associate (sheila) and granted she was stocking shelves. Here is how the conversation went. Me: ma'am can you tell me where the rugs are? Her: *deep breath* what cha looking for? Me: A floor rug Her: we have xXxX rugs and xXxX rugs *points* they over there....and walks away with her shopping cart Me: (taken back by her action and tone) over where? (granted its a nice size store) Her: just walk over there I'm sure you'll find it! And turns away again. They were not in plain sight, they were literally across the other side of the store (she pointed me to the bath rugs on instead of the floor rugs) Her tone, demeanor, and COLDness really made me uncomfortable.....angry really because I asked a simple question and got direct attitude. It could have been a bad day for her. And I would have not made this review of THIS didn't happened. I called the store to get the proper information to file a complaint, guess who answers SHEILA! She put me on hold " to get the information" comes back and says "were you the lady that just left" I said "yes" she said "SORRY IF I Offended you" I said ma'am what's your store managers email(something) she put me on hold and the assistant manager takes my call (I was really confused because I didn't want to complain to any in store personal. I wanted the store managers information or corporate. Anyway, the lady that she handed Me over to was very polite and understanding and apologized for her co-workers behavior. Sheila actions were totally unacceptable and nothing about it said "customer service" the "I'm sure you'll find it" part REALLY ticked me off. We bought a king sized comforter and a rug here Sunday evening. We tried it on the bed Monday night and discovered it was a queen. We also discovered that one of the pillows had a disgusting yellow stain on it, as if it was used! I went to return it and the young Asian girl at the counter looked at me like I was lying and said NOT 1 word of apology! In fact the only thing she said was the amount of money I was owed. The man who sold it to us, not 36 hours earlier, who was pleasant enough, was standing next to her and she asked, in a whisper, something to the effect of whether it was returnable. Do you know the law???? YES it is returnable you young and ignorant young lady, and further more FRAUD is illegal. You fraudulently sold me a comforter you knew was a queen in a king marked package. Additionally, after contacting the brand maker for that comforter they DO NOT make that particular pattern in a king. So, you snotty know-nothing counter clerk, YES you MUST accept the return and YES you will be written up by your corporate office after they receive our letter for your unprofessional behavior towards a paying customer. Spent 2 hours and bought almost $150 worth of goods at HomeGoods in Orange from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Bought a nice large plant pot which I needed help loading in car. One cash register employee was working?!! I was asked to drive my car up to front of the store and wait for assistance. Temperature out last night was about 30-40 degrees, heavy traffic of people going in and out of the parking lot, and I stood waiting for over 15 mins. Came back in 2 times to check on status of assistance to load. Same 1 employee said "we're low staff now." It was quite frustrating. It was faster to repark my car & come back in for a return! Terrible business practice. No returns for me to this store! read more

My low star review is not for the products of the Home Goods in Orange but the worse attitude towards my kids and me from the main store manager Laurie on 12/10/15. I love Home Goods products and for my last 3-4 purchases I spent over $10k at different Home Goods since I'm re furnishing my house. This orange Home Good opened recently & I believe I became the first victim (on yelp) of manager Laurie's extreme rudeness: We went to this Home goods with my 3 kids (5, 4 & 2 years) about 8:30 PM. We started picking items. kids found the toy section & started browsing to buy something. There are couple tiny tri cycles & my kids got into those but they are small for my kids so they were just sitting there in the aisle. I observed a female employee, Renee who was putting items back to the shelf from the floor left by previous customers, observing us and gasping seeing my kids in the tri cycle & my son browsing toys. I guess she was gasping why my kids are looking all the toys & taking off the shelf since she has to put those back assuming my kids will leave those on the floor. It bothered me a little but didn't care since she looked very tired to me & it was end of the night shift so go figure. Few minutes later manager Laurie came asking me if I need any help. I said no thanks I am good. Then she rudely told me.. why my kids are going through all the toys and why they are sitting on the tri cycles? I asked her what is the problem? Laurie gave a smart answer - I don't want them to sit on the tri cycle because that way all these Tri cycles will become USED TOYS. I fell from the sky. What is she talking about? By the way, those tri cycles were sitting in the floor when we came & the wheels are pretty dirty from previous usage by many kids I believe. I don't know what kind of logic she was using in her head. She became very irritated when I asked who is the manger and she said very rudely and proudly "I AM THE STORE MANGER". I asked if she was the main manger. She again raised her voice to intimidate me showing her power (?) that she is the main person and no one is above her. I said 'wow thinking how did you get this position. Usually the employees are rude to customers sometimes & manager fixes problems. But in this Home Goods Laurie acted like a rude employee and crews are the managers. Even Renee was nice later when she saw me spending almost $1,500 that night. At least she valued me as a customer when I spend a lot of money otherwise!?! Even the manager Laurie didn't care seeing me cart full of stuffs and furniture.Anyhow while Laurie was giving me all kind of harassment & pointing out my kids why they are using toys I asked who is the area manager? She asked .. do you know the area manager? I asked her again, who is the area manager? She said it's Rick, and if I knew Rick. I told her, Yes I will talk to Rick then. She got pissed and left. I saw all my kids are puzzled from our conversation because they are forbidden to touch anything. So Laurie's moto is buy without looking or touching. OR DON'T BUY. I was very much disrespected, harassed and vocally abused by Laurie when I was at the store to buy the very products that pays everyone's pay check including Laurie's. We finished picking stuffs & then asked someone (it was Renee) to get me the big mirror & 2 benches. I guess she realized that I didn't bring my kids just to play with the toys! She became extremely nice suddenly & called someone to get those items to the cashier. It was Chris & Diego. I found out Chris is customer service manger in the front. Then I see Laurie again hanging out around me. So I told her in front of Chris and Diego that I didn't appreciate her despicable attitude towards me and specially to my kids. She looked very angry saying what she said was correct because what if they fall from the bike (true from 1 feet tall bikes)? I told her, in no event you mentioned anything about the safety otherwise I would totally understand rather you mentioned that my kids are making all the items to USED TOYS. So we are arguing back and forth (good manger's skill though). Then suddenly she asked my if I was a lawyer since she felt that I was talking like a lawyer. Great skill, asking customers' profession while showing her power as a manger. {MORE ARGUMENT} Suddenly she asked me pointing at my son- are you buying that toy your son is holding? I said yes but why you're asking. Laurie said my son is ripping the box . actually piece of paper fell from the previously opened toy, or I should say USED TOY. {More argument} and attitude towards my wife, kids & me in front of Chris & Diego made me felt that Laurie is racist towards because of my skin color. Hearing this she called the security. I waited for the security by the cashier. Security came & Chris took them away. Security didn't talk to us. Chris help us load. Chris was very helpful, acted like a manger. I could have written entire paragraph about Chris why he should be the manager not Laurie. read more

I just stopped into return an item and I was in a rush. On Sunday after no there was only I cashier and a young man saying hello to people walking in. We had 10 people in line and still no help. I asked the young man to get some help at the cashiers as this is where Hime Goods makes their profit. Finally 2 people came out of the back to assist.
